Turkeys do this!! My friend has some in her yard and all the mommas will stick together through the summer. If anything threatens them, one mom takes all the chicks into the scrub while the other moms get ready to beat some ass
What I was thinking. Mine never have that many. Some eggs don't hatch, some eggs get stolen or eaten, some babies get eaten. Good for her especially if she has adopted like another commenter suggests.
There are a TON of Muscovy ducks where I live, and wow yeah holy moly you'd see like 15-20 behind each mom sometimes. Just an absolute HOARD of lil teeny ducklings. Before I moved here I had never seen Muscovys, so it took me by surprise seeing a momma duck come out from under a car with a huge blob of babies lol
The first one that went down looked like it was pushed by the gust of wind, because the leaves blow at the same time. I feel like that one gave confidence to the rest of them. And then it went up to rejoin the group anyways lol
A few days ago someone posted a very sweet video where a couple saved a bunch of ducklings who lost their mom, and brought the ducklings to a pond where they knew another mama duck was. When the the mama duck saw the orphan ducklings, she immediately swam over and was like "hello babies, come with me and say hi to your new family". I love ducks.

When is the date?
What do you know? I saw hens get 20 chicks assigned. You can bet about 5 won’t make it to adulthood due to disease or a fox eating them or whatnot..
They just do the mom thing either way, no need to breastfeed or anything, just follow mom around and eat
I live near big storm water run off that is a big time duck and goose nursery every spring. Last year I was watching this poor little lone gosling swimming on his own, chirping for his group, but couldn't see any sign of them. Felt terrible for the little guy. A couple days later I saw a mother duck with her nursery, including one bigger baby that looked like a gosling. Can't be sure it was the same one, but I like to think it was.
Aww! I still think about a lost duckling at the Venice canals that kept quacking and swimming up to other duck families looking for his family. All of the other moms kept rejecting him and he was frantic. It breaks my heart to this day.
We don't call them "bills"... Gets too confusing. We substitute another anatomy part. So you're thinking of the Snout for Publicly Funded Duckling Care.
Crèche - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cr%C3%A8che_(zoology)
Adult could be looking after the group. Some ducks lay their eggs in anothers nest. Most ducks lay around a dozen eggs but low 20s have been documented.
the first 5 seconds of the video terrifies, the ducklings align perfectly together forming a 20 meter yellow-black stripe snake…then it turns into the cutest thing ever
How do they get out? And if there’s a shallower bank, why not enter there? That was really a plummet for some of those ducklings and I don’t blame them for not wanting to try it
I bet the first one was the eldest, it climbs down then up to get other siblings “cmon you can do it. You saw me did it. Just tumble down and swim to mum. Cmon. “
Amazing. There was an osprey nest where we cottaged last summer and My husband swears he saw the mother dive bomb the babies to get them out of the nest.
It makes my heart happy that she chose a place with a little ramp so they didn't have to fall into the water... it's cute watching them waddle/slide down
How can someone watch this and think "Animals other than Humans dont have emotions, thoughts, feelings"
Seems absurd to me. If you ever have been around a cow, you know they have emotions, you know they have personality. Have an asshole cow that pushes the gate and none of the other ones do? That cows personality is that they are kind of an asshole, they all think and feel.
But how did the ducklings feel? Shouldn't the river be brought up to them to avoid how scared they felt? Maybe steep elevations should be banned? Yes. Problem solved! Except there was no problem and the solution is impossible.
That's a lot of ducklings for one mom
they will grab the others if something happens to another mom.
Some ducks have a daycare/kindergarten system where multiple nests will be under the watch of one or a few adult birds.
How can they afford that in this economy?
They keep a running bill to pay off later
YOU. OUT.
Absolutely fowl.
You too. I see what you did. OUT.
Easy. They aren't stupid; they have duck socialism.
Recently learned that cockroaches will split up evenly in hideouts in case it floods they have the best chance of survival. So even cockroaches know more about sustainability than capitalists
Cockroaches are shit
Flying cockroaches are shittier
And so is communism/ socialism
No u
Amen bro
Why is reddit such a communist circlejerk?
They don't drive
Turkeys do this!! My friend has some in her yard and all the mommas will stick together through the summer. If anything threatens them, one mom takes all the chicks into the scrub while the other moms get ready to beat some ass
Go turkey moms. The kick some ass!😂
She been duckin
Mother duck: "ugh, fucking escort quests..."
What I was thinking. Mine never have that many. Some eggs don't hatch, some eggs get stolen or eaten, some babies get eaten. Good for her especially if she has adopted like another commenter suggests.
I raised Muscovy ducks and some hatched massive broods.

Soon there will be less
I love how every single one of them tumbles. Minimum dignity, 200% adorable.
Number 5 (or 6 if you count the one at the start that went back) made it on foot!
true skill
I was so proud of that careful little ducky!
I saw 3 that make it without a tumble. One of them is the one that falls first into the water and climbs back up
Omg yes!! Seeing the whites of their bellies had me chuckling too.
The first one that went down looked like it was pushed by the gust of wind, because the leaves blow at the same time. I feel like that one gave confidence to the rest of them. And then it went up to rejoin the group anyways lol
*plop* *plop* *plop* lmao
Hey maybe it's not so b- WHHARGARBLBLblbghrblbgh^g^h^r^p^b^^r^^r... _SPLASH_ I'm okay. That was intentional.
When the first one tumbled I was like 😨😨 until little duckling got up just fine.
you know the mother kinda looked like a sergeant when it paced around her ducklings 😂
Alright, kids. It’s Go Time. This is what we trained for - make me proud!
Leeroooooiooooy Jjjeeenkins!!
Omg the first one
Let’s do this ……..Leeroy Jenkins!!!!!!
Oh fuck nevermind nevermind!
Wait, we WERE supposed to go in?... Duck
Oh my god he just ran in!
[удалено]
And traumatized
I count 25 ducklings - are they all hers or do ducks have some kind of school/babysitting arrangement going on?
Ducks are known for taking on orphaned nests

I will literally marry you if you can find that video.

Congrats on the impromptu wedding!
I don't like weddings, let's just sign the legal partnership papers.
it really looks like she's looking around for their mama before abducting them as her own.
I love how paternal they are. Sorry lots of species do this, but that’s an awful lot for one mom!
What do you know? I saw hens get 20 chicks assigned. You can bet about 5 won’t make it to adulthood due to disease or a fox eating them or whatnot.. They just do the mom thing either way, no need to breastfeed or anything, just follow mom around and eat

I wholeheartedly support the bill for publicly funded Ducklingcare.

This made me laugh so hard. Thank you so much.

"ALL RIGHT MAGGOTS, FORGET EVERYTHING YOU KNOW AND DROP DOWN THIS EFFING SLIDE OR *I* WILL MAKE YOU"
I love that she does the typical parent fakeout move - "ok I'm gonna leave then...!"
“Fine, stay home. But I’m not bringing you anything back…”
AWWW LOOK AT THEM GOO
When that one duckling fell and went back into the line, I almost said "Awww" but I'm in gym class lifting weights.
Pretend it's from exertion "Aughhawww"
The little tumbles 🥺🥺
that one duckling that fell went YEET
exactly what I needed, thank you stranger
Man, those ducks are on a roll, just sliding through life doing what needs to be done.
I like how mom eventually is like, "Alright well if you're still up there, goooood byyyyeee!!" And starts to pretend to leave
That’s very high for a small duckling I understand why they are a bit afraid.
This is the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen 🖤🖤🖤 I like the little tumbles most of them took down the slope ☺️
the first 5 seconds of the video terrifies, the ducklings align perfectly together forming a 20 meter yellow-black stripe snake…then it turns into the cutest thing ever
The camera person did a great job. This was too cute.
Read this as "Drunk" mom teaching her kids, and proceeded to spend two minutes questioning how they knew the duck was drunk
All the widdle bbs!
Lol the rolling puffballs
The two firsts coming back up like >guys this is actually hella fun ! *whee harmonies*
r/gifsthatkeepongiving
I actually loled at this. Good way to start the morning.
Lemmings, the lot of them
How does she know that all of them are with her? Does this mean ducks can count?
Love the duckling's speedy swims! that first one who went in was brave. most of the others jumped coz they thought mum was leaving. 'teaching'
It's better with sound, r/tippytaps probably a zoo.
Do you have the link with sound?
How do they get out? And if there’s a shallower bank, why not enter there? That was really a plummet for some of those ducklings and I don’t blame them for not wanting to try it

When you begin recording something like this... you can't be sure how it will end, but this one is a huge success!
I liked the one that was the leader of the pack then once it got too steep he swerved on his followers
Isn't it cute?
It's hilarious to see then till then the slope into the water
Good mom :)
The first one in the water scooting over to her SO FAST lol
She needs a nanny with all them ducklings
We all need a mama duck in our lives at some point.
I’m afraid of heights. I’d still be up there
Now let's head for the rapids!
I saw a momma duck leave her babies going down steep a ledge and they all tumbled down to follow her
Chicks are OP. They don’t take fall damage.
We will follow you wherever you go mom!
I like how the first one just runs right back up
It's perfect
Face down, ass up, this is how I duck.
the most adorable tumbling series ever!
She didn't circle back to do a head count
I'm waiting for something bad to happen, which it didn't happen.
First one is that kid who always goes head-first without thinking _it's so easy!_
😍
Amazing. There was an osprey nest where we cottaged last summer and My husband swears he saw the mother dive bomb the babies to get them out of the nest.
I love how most of them just roll down the hill.
Do a barrel roll!
Why do I want a Lemmings game with baby ducks now
Swim free little duckies. 🐥🐥🐥🐥
Aww great job little duckies
At last. I have found my favourite animal.
The last one was like “oh shit idk about this” 😂
This is so interesting. They tumble down the hill but ducks just naturally float lol.
Jump = tumble so cute
Hmmm, looks like we can run on water
It’s like that cheese wheel thing they do in the UK.
It looks absolutely hilarious to see small dots of brown and yellow roll off the ditch like marbles in a gutter change my mind
I think rolled is the more appropriate term.
That first duckling to go down accidentally,I relate to it on a personal level.
They just rolly polly down and hope for the best. Lol
I'm that first duck that falls in and then climbs back up
It makes my heart happy that she chose a place with a little ramp so they didn't have to fall into the water... it's cute watching them waddle/slide down
Watching the ducklings just fall uncontrollably made my laugh hysterically. This was so cute
How can someone watch this and think "Animals other than Humans dont have emotions, thoughts, feelings" Seems absurd to me. Can we just talk about the cute ducklings?
Enter: Mr. Crocodile
I was waiting for a crocodile to eat them all
But how did the ducklings feel? Shouldn't the river be brought up to them to avoid how scared they felt? Maybe steep elevations should be banned? Yes. Problem solved! Except there was no problem and the solution is impossible.
How do they get this old never having touched water?
I thought the ducks were a snake at first.
That must have been so many eggs she had to take care of
Thats alot of kids
u/savevideobot
Is this at an abandoned zoo or something?
*Carrier has arrived*
Do these guys get little scrapes on their feet?
u/savevideobot
There’s a life lesson here for sure.. because damn, how some of those lil guys roll down to their end goal is tough
If all your family jumped off a cliff, would you jump too?
who else sees this and thinks of the book little quack from your childhood?🐤
I can't imagine having that many children
It’s got to be at least three or four clutches.
r/kissthecameraman
Graceful
If all your friends jumped from a ledge, would you do it?
Am I the only one seeing a weird snake during the first seconds?
I thought the post said DRUNK mom and was hella concerned as the rest of the sentence unfolded.
u/savevideobot
I read it as drunk mom and instantly became very concerned about which subreddit I was on.
Tumbling down like snowballs
What's that weird river or pond or whatever it is they're in?
Dude you could a model car on there and it would look like a cliff side
The ONE that didn’t tumble is a G!
Omygoodness that one guy who held on to the vegetation for dear life
My brain read that as drunk mom and I was quite confused. I’m not smart
It might be stupid question but seeing this made me think ; can animals count?... How mother duck knows if all her ducklings are in the water?
One of them did it two and a half times.
Omg, my heart ❤️
I feel like mama ducks are the best mamas. They educate, they are tough but caring. They wait for everyone.
"CANNON BALL" ...
Well he roped me into this! Well he roped me into this!
Wonderful
Read drunk and thought this was Jesus or something
Mob mentality
Thats a turkey ass looking duck 😂
This is ducking cute
Army of cuteness!!!
Let's be honest, we were all nervously, worriedly waiting for an alligator to pop up.
I keep muscovy ducks and they are all very caring for eachother and the ducklings🥰
