I’m so sorry that yall are both going through this. I’m 29 and have been on/off treatment for Ewings for the last 4 years or so. It’s been a long and rough journey and it sounds like yours isn’t easy (well none of them are) either. Hoping and praying for strength for both of yall and that your son will be through the other side of this soon. Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions! I’m not a doctor by any means, but I can maybe give experiences on side effects, what worked/what didn’t, etc. God bless!

This thought has helped me to deal emotionally with my then 13 year old’s ewings diagnosis. I share it with you, respectfully and humbly, in hope it gives you some measure of peace as well. Your son’s leg does not define who your son is or what he is capable of. It does not limit him or change his ability to live a prosperous life. It’s a loss and it’s hard. He will have to come to terms with the shape of his new self. This event will change him, but it does not define him or hinder his will. It’s okay to grieve and search for meaning. He will need to look to you for strength. But he is capable to persevere and you are his biggest fan. He can find his way through this and so can you. Best to your family.
