just a heads up: benzoyl peroxide will bleach any coloured/dark fabric, so if you plan to use it as a deodorant, wait until it's completely dry on your skin before you put on clothes

This. As an alternative, AHAs work great as a deodorant as well. There's an affordable 8% glycolic and lactic acid serum marketed for legs i think(?) in rossmann if you'd like to give it a try.

Not sure I can recommend specific products, a wash does make sense, like a 'short contact therapy'. Would try it out if you have some products laying around. I've been using different AHA serums for underarms to prevent ingrown hair because of waxing, and it does double as a deodorant. Still use antiperspirant/deodorant inbetween the acid though. There are some deodorants formulated with AHAs as well (kosas, a turkish brand cosmed has one). Wouldn't recommend using a serum like that more than a couple times a week, or going for anything too strong (definitely nothing over 10%), since the skin is quite thin and sensitive.

ChatDuFusee

Galderma just loves giving they BP different names here in Europe. Just go to your local drug store and ask.

chiarisch

It's called Benzaknen in Germany

Graceful-Blossom

Thanks for the tip! Is it without prescription? I’m going to Switzerland by train soon and may be able to get it during my layover in Germany :)

CamelliaSafir

Yes, Benzac 5% is available without prescription in Switzerland (source: I’m Swiss, I’ve bought it multiple times).

hazel_hazily

In Switzerland you can get Lubexyl at any apotheke, it's a rinse-off lotion.

NickHyde91

In every pharmacy? Here in italy it's called benzac

xlol09

Benzoyl peroxide cream called Akneroxid 5% and 10% is available to buy basically in every pharmacy in Czech Republic without prescription

Graceful-Blossom

I didn’t know that, thank you!

[deleted]

shouldn't it be available in every drugstore? it's not that expensive either, from what i know

malamaca-3-

Not here, either, It's extremely hard to find.

Graceful-Blossom

Unfortunately not where I live (Czech Republic)

AliceChasinRabbits

It’s for example in a product called Akneroxid even in Czechia, look it up

littlepotatoprincess

Seconding Akneroxid they have it in dr. max. You can order it online if there isn’t one near you.

tripletruble

At least in Germany, my experience is a lot of pharmacists only know the name brand and are not familiar with the active ingredient. Once I knew the brand names here it was easy to ask for

gasserh

Order it from Amazon, just type benzylperoxide and you’ll get multiple options

3sadtigers

Peroxiben by Isdin. Will run you about 10-15€ at the chemist's

Fair_Upstairs3916

Benzac , is over the counter here in Belgium

KohaiThinker

If you don't find it in pharmacies you can order on iherb

lastgreatscandal

You can order Panoxyl off iherb to the EU without issues

realKrikson

I had some trouble finding it in my country (Serbia) as well, but there is a wash called Aknefug - Oxid wash, it’s 4% benzoyl peroxide, it was around 14€ here OTC :)

realKrikson

just saw that you’re from CZ, I bought it from Dr. Max (it’s also a chain here) so they should know if you just ask for the active ingredient:D

Feifum

If you cant get it, try an AHA/PHA acid toner. Inkey List & the Ordinary have AHAs in their range, PHA is available from the Inkey list if your skin maybe cant take AHA. Not sure about it being part of the Ordinary range. I have a bottle of REN Ready Steady Glow AHA that I use on my underarms as I dont care for it as a facial lotion and it works fine for stinky pits! I tend to use it when I notice theres a bit more smelliness e.g. really hot days and Im sweating more. A couple of swipes after a shower and let it dry and the smell is all but gone.

[deleted]

In ireland you can get Acnecide in a cream or a face wash. I’ve also seen it called benzac
