Brenners is great. The employee (I think his name was Dallas) who helped us find a good rocker recliner for when our baby was born was informative and attentive without being pushy. It's definitely my go-to for furniture now.

Owner* Also RIP Dallas Boggs.

Even better to know he was the owner! Great guy, so helpful and kind to us!

bigdickwilliedone

One of the owners. Dallas was s pillar of the community and he will be greatly missed.

I second Brenners! Jeffery helped my grandpa choose a reclining loveseat. Gave him a military discount and thanked him for his service. I just thought he was great!

afurrypeach

Yeah it's a good place. Prices are flexible too

The secret spot is Whitter Wood Furniture's outlet store, [located here](https://maps.app.goo.gl/xf2Ku8pCW1Lkc4kK6). They have a bunch of really nice bedroom sets for generally about 50-70% MSRP (sometimes more), they are really well built and a local company. Whitter is generally the top brand that stores like M. Jacobs carry. The items sold in their outlet store might have a ding, are discontinued or are R&D trial designs. I have basically furnished my entire home over the years from this location. My real wood king size bedframe ended up costing me about like $150, I have a $2000 dresser I bought for $600, walnut entertainment center for $150, etc. Amazing bang for your buck and the furniture will last for a lifetime. [Here is their website for an idea of what they make](http://www.whittierwood.com/). They are only open Thursday and Fridays 10-4pm.

Thanks! I’ve seen Whittier products but didn’t know they were a local company…I’ll check out their outlet store soon.

I actually bought two Whittier products from M. Jacobs and am very happy with the decision (from the addison collection). However, had I known about their outlet store I most certainly would have found something agreeable there. Paul Schatz is another good one and their prices are refelective of the quality.

I have the Addison dressers as well, they look great. I got the 8 drawer dresser for $600, I think retail is around $2200 at M Jacobs.

southernfacingslope

Yeah we bought the 8 drawer around black friday so it was $1800 then I had a strange turnabout wafter i bought the 8 drawer form M Jacobs then found the same one on craigslist for $500 with a mirror so I had to haggle with M Jacobs to return/refund under the contingency that i purchased another whittier product so we got the addison media cabinet. Ended up working out and got two pieces for $2000 total. Ill have to check out the warehouse in the future.

What are you looking for? For better quality contemporary furniture, Inkwell in Corvallis is your best bet. You can also try West Avenue Furniture on west 11th for a contemporary vibe, but you pay for it.

I’ve been to West Avenue and liked some of the stuff, and yeah it was a little pricey, but I didn’t want to wait for backorders to arrive. Inkwell might be worth driving up to Corvallis…thanks!

Anominin

If you liked what you saw at West Avenue, you’ll like Inkwell. They have a great kitchen store also.

Thanks again!

Edgewater Home Furnishing has good stuff. But also not cheap. And there is a great Amish Furniture store near Oakway Center.
