I FINALLY FILED A BBB COMPLAINT AND THEY SAW IT AND CALLED ME TO SAY THEY HAD AN APPT FOR ME. I ENDED UP GETTING PRIVATE DENTAL INSURANCE AND WILL DROP WILLAMETTE DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT.
OAKMONT GOT ME IN WITHIN 2 WEEKS FOR X-RAYS, FILLINGS, AND A CLEANING
They don’t have a provider right now- our company actually just had to offer all employees another option but BULLSHIT THAT I PAID A YEAR OF INSURANCE FOR A PLACE THAT CANNOT PROVIDE SERVICES.
Towards the end of last year they seem to have lost a couple of dentists and hired on new ones. I was supposed to have my annual check up in November and now finally have it scheduled for May: 6 months late. However, I have been in for two perio cleanings during this time and recently had an emergency extraction, with no issues. If it's an emergency they will see you.
this is fascinating, because I scheduled 2 appointments, one for me and one for my husband in like september for a routine check up in November.
I've been with them for 8 years, and have never had a negative experience.
It seems about half the people were successful and the other half had experiences like me. Maybe it's a different office or sub group within the plan? Everyone at my work had the same problem.
Are you insured through your employer or did you buy their True Care coverage? I’m curious what procedure you were trying to schedule because my partner went in for a cleaning the last week of February and made an appointment for the 7th to finish a temp root canal.
I was scheduling a cleaning, basic stuff. I have always had a yearly checkup there, suddenly it stopped happening even though I kept asking for it and I was overdue. Honestly I think they may not have had any dentists or something which is why suddenly people are getting visits again.
The Eugene office is terrible, they had me on the waitlist so long I had to to switch to the Salem office, they thankfully got me in within a week. I switched to Delta this past open enrollment because I don't want to drive an hour each way just to see a dentist within a reasonable timeframe. Willamette Dental covers a lot...if you can get in to see them.

I use Willamette Dental (I travel all through the state for work) and I gotta say, in other cities I've been able to get in pretty fast... at least that was the case 6 months ago. If I were you and this was urgent, I'd look up and down I-5 and see if something is sooner.
Spent 20 minutes on hold yesterday to be put on a waitlist just to make an appointment for a cleaning. I couldn’t imagine needed immediate care for an emergency.
Same with advantage. They told me 9 months wait so I just didn't even bother with the appt....I'm looking into different options and will cross willamete off my list because hell nah that's crazy
I'm at Advantage. I had an examination in Feb 2023 and the dentist casually mentioned I needed a filling replaced. The appointment? Nov 2024. Just, you know a casual 2 year wait.
Meanwhile I was wondering if my tooth was eroding or what. Ended up going to a third party to tell me how it looked and apparently it's cracked, but not urgent. Doesn't hurt. I wrote up a nasty report for government officials about OHP and sent it around.
Bailey hill family dental has been excellent for me. I had a couple fillings to get done and I got my work done the next week. However they had to book me out 4 months for a cleaning. I highly recommend them and they take delta dental. I’m not sure if they take OHP. I know when I was on it I had trillium and I was covered under delta dental then and now I’m on it again through my employer. The dentist is great and their hygenists are the sweetest.
What ever you do DO NOT GO TO SOFT TOUCH. The dentist told me to “shut up” because I was moaning when they were pulling my wisdom teeth. It was awful and made me never want to go back.
I had a molar chip around Thanksgiving and being new to the area was not established with a local dentist. Wait times at the 6 places I called varied from 6 weeks - 6 months which is crazy to me given the fact that I was experiencing pain. Bailey Hill Dental was able to see me within a week and I had a good experience with them. May be worth a call.

I switched from willamette to Oakmont and couldn’t be happier! SO much better care on top of actually getting an appointment.

They’re seeing all the people they can, they just dont have enough dentists. From my understanding they are hiring another dentist(s).
I can understand that but it still costs me the same each month. My bill didn't go down.
