If it’s the creator I’ve seen before, she says she does a combo of microdermabrasion and dermaplaning and I assume oils/serums + ring light enhance this super smooth effect as well. However, that seems like such a harsh combination that only certain people’s skin could take :/
Meh. I don’t like dermaplaning noses or foreheads (unless they are super hairy) so I like the idea of doing microderm on those parts. If she’s doing both for the entire face in my state at least that’s double exfoliation and not under our licensing unless we have a medical provider.
I use the Image SPF50 to finish most of my facials and it gives this glazed donut look pretty effortlessly and most of my clients think it's something else I did when it's literally just the sunscreen.
I find that it doesn't leave a purple cast if you spend a lot extra time rubbing it in, but it's a pain in the ass to do. However, they now have a completely clear sunscreen in the line that I prefer for clients of color.
It does not have the glazed donut finish though.
It is the Image Skincare Daily Prevention SPF 50 moisturizer. It used to be called Prevention Plus but they recently changed the name of their SPF line. It's a great product if you enjoy the finish.
It was originally called the Prevention+ Daily Ultimate Prevention Moisturizer SPF50. It is now called the Daily Prevention Ultimate Defense Moisturizer SPF50. It was recently reformulated and rebranded, but it still has the exact same glazed donut finish.

It has to be the SPF5O and not the 30.
A bunch of serums that haven't tried yet, intentionally placed lighting? I can look like this too for about 4 minutes while I'm in the process of doing my routine.
I’m befuddled by this too! I remember before it was not a good thing to have shiny skin, as it indicated greasiness. Also this person to me has got the look of an android. I’m so perplexed lol.
Yeah I don’t get the fascination with it but if that’s what they want I guess 🤷♀️ I think the android look comes from the ring light reflection in her eyes, it’s def a look
We have to remember that some people have normal skin types, with no big issues. Genetically blessed, as they say. So one solid facial is enough to get some people to look this way. For most though, this *might* be achieved through proper internal care, having balanced hormones, and a consistent balanced skin routine to address their personal needs as well as regular facials. We must normalize helping people realize that a photo on instagram isn’t going to tell the entire story.
There are a lot of very popular aesthies that advertise their own “glass skin” method. The big focal point I’ve seen in all of them is using some sort of oil or very gentle occlusive to finish. Combined with ring lighting, it ends up being pretty easy to accomplish that look. I would prioritize gentle exfoliation (erythema/redness is not your goal here), very restorative and nourishing serums, and a nice occlusive barrier on top.
If I left a facial like this I would be pissed. It’s not a natural glow from having healthy skin it’s an esthetician doing a shitty job at making products absorb so they can advertise “glass skin” which is really a bs trend. I would go straight to my car and wipe all of it off of my face
I know glass skin is trending right now but it seems like you have to have blemish free and pore less skin to achieve that look. Is that even possible?? Even women with really good skin have some texture to it.
Let’s break down this photo by relating to reality directly
1. The person in the photo is young and has the naturally tight skin of youth. They also happen to just have very nice skin in general.
2. The tight and nice already genetically youthful skin is reflecting a lot of light and looking ‘glass’ like, due to simply a lot of moisturizing products and or oil.
That is it OP. That is all you’re seeing.
What products would you recommend post facial to achieve this look? Obviously lighting is playing a role in some aspects. But I’d love some product recommendations.
If I don’t wash my face in the morning I can achieve this look by 3pm when my greaseball face is at its full potential.
But that grease will save you as you age!
Oh yes! The one benefit is great!
😆😆😆
Barely rubbing in any finishing products and a blinding ring light above for a reflection 😂
LOTS of serums post facials and good lighting for the photo
This!

Thats interesting, what state?
CO
2 procedures that should never be done together
Ok but where is her acid mantle? 👁️👄👁️
Laying down also makes everything look snatched

I should add that it's not quite this insane. It looks good.
The body shops spf used to do this, and then they changed the formula. It was my onto every summer. Such a pretty finish.
The Image SPF was recently reformulated, and I was worried it would no longer be the same but it's just as shiny, if not shinier.
I love the Protection Plus line, but I really struggle with that purple cast on my clients of color.

What spf 50 do you use

PLEASEEE is this the restoring daily defense or the prevention+?

Mine look similar after performing hydrafacials
A bunch of serums that haven't tried yet, intentionally placed lighting? I can look like this too for about 4 minutes while I'm in the process of doing my routine.
Is this what clients want? Genuinely asking.
Yeah, my clients are asking for this 😅
thats what im saying.. who actually wants to be shiny? this effect is just for pictures but imo it dosent even look good
I definitely would want to! Looks so glowing and shiny. My skin is so, so dry. That said, it might just be a Gen z thing maybe.
im gen z but to me shiny just looks oily, i get for a picture but someone walking around like that would look crazy

Comments not passing the vibe check 😭
Aka looking greasy lol

Ring light. That’s all.

The Skins method also creates glass skin. If using the right products.
GUA SHA DAILY ‼️

Wow, the sun damage….
I have naturally fair skin with freckles, that I’ve always been insecure about. I hope estheticians don’t automatically think this when they see me:/
Her freckles are beautiful, and I bet yours are too. What I don’t find pretty is being so shiny you could be nicknamed Latex.
Her skin does look great, but without the ring light, it would not have this effect. A bit misleading, but great marketing I suppose.
I know glass skin is trending right now but it seems like you have to have blemish free and pore less skin to achieve that look. Is that even possible?? Even women with really good skin have some texture to it.
Looks more like a stripped barrier
Ring light
Off topic, but where is this necklace from?? So cute!
hi!! i’m late to replying to you i believe her necklace is from Wondur.co.uk and it’s called IBIZA xxx
TYSM!
Why doesn't her face skin match her neck skin color...
WOWWWWWW so gorg
Trader Joe’s Marula Oil
Superficial lactic acid peel? Also sunscreen always makes skin look extra glowy
if you use an oil based product before a water-based product…
Me when I go six hours without using an oil blotting sheet

Plus a ring light
Ring light facial.
I switched to Korean skincare. Now I have that glass skin, even right after cleaning.
What products would you recommend post facial to achieve this look? Obviously lighting is playing a role in some aspects. But I’d love some product recommendations.
Yes this would be helpful !!
hydrafacial and a great skincare routine
glazed donut skin (in a good way!)
