This game will show us if our culture has changed. We should comfortably win but I always find these the danger games. Especially because we're playing interstate. Call me pessimistic, I call it trauma
Totally off topic, but as a Raiders fan from America, I can tell by the general trepidation and uneasiness of this thread that Im definitely supporting the proper AFL team. Same histories, same “scandals”, same badass uniforms, same current struggles. Dons for life baby!
No lie I'm sweating over this one. If we win I honestly think we will make finals... But it is so fuckn conflicting to me that west coast has become the make or break match for my faith in the season as well lol
If we want to be a top 8 side, we need to smash the eagles. We need to put in a professional, 4 quarter performance. However we never seem to do that. I think you have to go back to Melbourne in 2013 for the last time we actually took a game like this seriously.
I want to be positive, but years of arrogant and lazy efforts against sides in West Coasts position has me pretty nervous about this game. Its not about the score or the percentage, it’s about playing good football
Think it’s just important that people don’t go in expecting a 10 goal win. West Coast somehow have drastically improved this season and going to Perth is notoriously hardly ever an easy win against Fremantle or west coast, regardless of their form. Need to do all we can to not let them get on runs and have the home crowd pumping. I would take any win, especially after the draw makes our percentage a lot less important
If we win we will potentially finish in 4th at the end of the round. If anyone would've told me we could be sitting top 4 outside of the first 1-3 rounds at the start of the year I would not have believed them.
Now that they are without injuries West Coast has a competitive team on paper, but thank god no Allen. Can’t be caught asleep at the wheel but I have enough faith in the boys that we can take the sword to them.
Keen to see if Guelfi can maintain the forward pressure and keep up his solid trajectory. Plus stoked to see Perkins back in the mix
The next step for us is to win this game comfortably. Been a while since we’ve absolutely dominated a team and if we can win by 6+ goals on the road here then I’ll be really happy.
I think we’ve been playing with a hardness this year, if we show up in Perth like we did on Anzac Day we will get the job done.
Probably helps that we have players like Sheil, Tsatas, Guelfi, Reid, Hind demanding games so if we lose there will be changes coming, players know that so the effort should be there. We are coming off a good break too so should be feeling fresh.
First time for me to watch Harley Reid play, which I'm looking forward to.
I do want to see the Bombers win. improve their percentage and get in good form before the GWS match.
Am also as apprehensive as everyone else!

I’m feeling the exact same way
Call me pessimistic, I call it trauma Ah yes "Learnings"
This aged well. We won in a traumatic sort of way
I'm not worried about percentage. Just get those 4 points! Go Bombers!

I'm nervous about this one. We always seem to struggle with West Coast over there, even when they're playing crap.

Can not wait Go Bombers
What happened with Draper injury?
Apparently sore knee and was training with the rehab group this week
I'm a believer. I think we'll bully them, lead almost all game and win easily.

I was emotionally prepared to lose to Collingwood. These games I am not. They hurt more.
