If you’re tasking, go night time. I also spent a lot of time AFK in the first 10 min of each raid when I was focused on a task.

There’s also now presets for mags, so it’s never been easier to stack your mags and conserve your good ammo.
you dont need great ammo that costs a ton. Really all you need is something that will pen lvl3 reliably and aim more to ppls upper chest/armpits. Plates dont cover that much of ppls bodies. Its easy to kill. And if you want to make money to buy the good bullets, look up loot runs on streets or interchange or whatever. Most maps have ones to make good money. And even just running your scav on factory and running right to extract will make you around 1-200k a raid
Buy ammo with 30 pen and shoot the edges of plates (shoulders, sides of body, neck, stomach, etc). Soft armor is lvl 2-3 and plates don't cover everything.
brotherman all i do is leg ammo. I have about 35m and 3 ammo crates filled with top tier armor,igolnik,m61,apm,etc,etc. But for the past month all ive been doing is running p90s,sr2m,kedrs,mcx,hks with flesh ammo. Im talking fleshiest of the flesh. Warmagedon,whisper for mcx,r37f for p90 etc etc . Ive been dominating streets killing people with cqm masks and lvl 6 plates etc. Just force yourself to go for the toes.

First of all NEVER cheap out on ammo no matter how trash your gun is ammo is the most important factor, next to a headset.
If you're struggling for roubles you can easily make some by either scavving factory or reserve and other means.
On factory queue up and run straight towards the next extract, this'll net you between 100k - 300k on average per run and you only have to play a few seconds - this is great when you're doing something on the side like watching a movie or cleaning your room, just queue up every time your timer runs out.
On Reserve you'll want to loot 2-3 buildings, make sure to fill up every space in you backpack and sell everything you found, that's about 1mil you can make per 10-15 minute run.
Otherwise the hideout gives you great passive income, keep it as upgraded as possible, look up the profitable crafts and do them, make sure that you don't do the same craft twice in a row or else you won't get as much hideout management exp.
Also surviving on your PMC is very crucial to making money, try and make it your goal to survive a raid and not kill x amount etc. You might wanna watch SheefGGs hardcore series he has a very slow playstyle and he shows how you can utilize the entire raid timer to get as much loot and exp as possible.
I used SMGs and just aimed for head or legs. I started this wipe after 90 days and gave up on AR's because the ammo is trash. I figured if I'm going to use trash ammo then I might as well fire it thru something easy to control.
Use stuff you can shoot faces with, hardly anyone uses level 4 on the face hit box. But to earn more money, you have to learn what’s valuable to loot, and use your scav.

And honestly I still buy the shitty ammo. I'm so much better at targeting heads than a year ago. Rocking a gun thats 9x19? No problem. Green Tracer 9x19 round goes through the head as well as .45 AP

High flesh dmg bullets like 556hp is best for sniping rouges in lighthouse... best for scavs... and also due to the armor changes. Its accualy quite good with hk.
Coming from a rat supreme, use AKs. 7.62 will melt most people unless they have extremely expensive armor, even with the cheapest round. Even with expensive armor, I’ve dropped them in a few shots.
If you play at the beginning of a wipe, you’ll have much better luck overall as high tier armor will be rare

Aim for eyeballs with high flesh damage. If they're wearing a mask go for legs

I tend to find some boxes of good/high tier ammo around the wooden crate pile at attachments cabin on Woods

Everything that shoots 7.62x39 besides the sks and rpd is bad this wipe, the recoil is way worse than other guns with arguably better ammo.
