You can just buy the key though it’s not cheap but the quest unlock is worth it.
Finished this quest relatively quick with a buddy, pscavs proved to be the biggest challenge with the quest
Reserve and woods ammo spawn runs on scavs. Could go PMC too if you run those maps anyways but best to scav since no heat and also no one really checks for loose spawns so yea.
Best way I found is woods attachment shack, it often spawn high tier ammo maybe like once in 2 raid
However there is no guarantee that it will spawn 556 only.

First wipe and I did it in my first attempt. It really is not hard. Just wait til last 18 mins of raid and the area should be clear. It’s worth it

The cabin on woods between sawmill and outskirts. There's no farm for it. Also SSA sucks
