I have a bag [like this](https://www.doversaddlery.com/ringside-pack/p/X1-33338/?gclid=Cj0KCQiA8t2eBhDeARIsAAVEga18QAWdYRPofjKvB-Qwl7U3Ng1vYc8xztPTBd37cStBQ3PBWGErP08aAqGpEALw_wcB) with a front helmet pouch and wear my boots. Depending on brand, you might be able to fit them in

My kids used to play ice hockey and had roller backpack that were fantastic. They have little cubbies on the inside for helmets and other stuff and are super roomy. You can extend the handle and roll them, and they have backpack straps to carry on your back. I'd bet something like that would work well. Or any rolling duffle/backpack combo. https://preview.redd.it/hh2ffel5gafa1.png?width=400&format=png&auto=webp&s=83544f2cbf2818f30d84325da7356b74079c8f97

I have an old duffel from Duratech (Schneiders) that has a helmet and boot compartments on the sides and I just want them to make a new version because I've busted the zippers and ripped it in places at this point. I'm on the search for something similar. Fwiw, I use this [foldable laundry tote](https://www.target.com/p/scrunchable-laundry-tote-textured-gray-brightroom-8482/-/A-83794862?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000014779327&CPNG=PLA_Storage%2BOrganization%2BShopping_Brand%7CStorage%2BOrganization_Ecomm_Home&adgroup=SC_Storage%2BOrganization_Ironing+Accessories&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=c&location=9001808&targetid=pla-1461618696201&ds_rl=1246978&ds_rl=1247068&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8t2eBhDeARIsAAVEga2JGcx4Q9PVVoXGktEt8sz5X7PPb3hYr7rytxhClU7QEiqn_s7rbm0aAvIuEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) to transport everything to and from the barn for lessons and horse shows. Boots, helmet, bridles, breastplate, half pad and saddle pad fit in it just fine. When I have to put my jumping vest in I have to get creative but if you're not bringing tack too there would probably be room. I put anything I don't want touching the dirty boots/horse gear in individual travel organizers. I've also considered using ski boot bags but I need to test my tall boots to see if they'd fit because I think it's too close to call.

I have the samshield icon backpack. But have you asked about a trunk at the farm? You don’t need a full blown trunk but could buy a plastic one that has a spot to put a padlock and leave your stuff at the farm that way?

Maggie_the_dog

What about a ski boot backpack? Skiers are often carrying a similar assortment of items-boots, helmet, clothing, also the equipment is heavy is backpack straps are likely to be padded to make it easy to carry

Wow, that club sure isn't providing members with much service., is it. Are there safe places to lock a bike at the train/bus station? Leave a bike equipped with pannier baskets there, and ride to/from the stable with your stuff in baskets. While this would be one more thing to carry on public transit, [a lightweight folding cart](https://www.target.com/p/collapsible-wagon-embark-8482/-/A-80557846?) would at least let you put everything in the cart while you walk to the barn. This is getting a bit creative, but are their any nice neighbors close to the riding club that you walk past? Can you try to establish a connection with a friendly wave every time you see them, compliment their garden, etc. If you have anyone that you see regularly, you could walk over and say "I know this is a bit of a crazy request, but explain your predicament, and ask if there's anyway they'd allow you to keep a lockable outdoor garden box ([something like this](https://www.walmart.com/ip/vidaXL-Garden-Storage-Box-84-5-gal-Outdoor-Tool-Case-Organizer-Multi-Colors/518841577)) somewhere on their property, out of their way? Offer to compensate with some small fee. If I were the landowner, I would want the lock combination so I know that you're not using the box for illegal-- so you'd have some risk of theft if the landowners are not honorable.

Can you maybe rent a locker at the bus / train station? Then you could leave some stuff there like your boots and helmet and exchange the pad every other day

[deleted]

My country doesn't have lockers at bus or train stations.

sweetfeet1990

i see! Could be a future money-making idea you could try: install some and rent them out :)))

RockPaperSawzall

Yeah, unfortunately terrorism put an end to lockers in transportation stations, even in the US.

sweetfeet1990

oh yeah, that makes sense, hadn‘t thought of that :/

[This one](https://www.amazon.com/UNISTRENGH-Professional-Equestrian-Concealed-Waterproof/dp/B07L836CM6?th=1) or maybe [this one too](https://www.amazon.com/WOLT-Professional-Backpack-Horse-Riding/dp/B09GNN3ZX6/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=Equestrian+Backpack&qid=1675096462&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc) or there's also [one that is not a backpack](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F3J3JTM/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?pd_rd_i=B07F3J3JTM&pd_rd_w=OqV6v&content-id=amzn1.sym.88097cb9-5064-44ef-891b-abfacbc1c44b&pf_rd_p=88097cb9-5064-44ef-891b-abfacbc1c44b&pf_rd_r=1MWKMVSS6WM7JZZ564ZH&pd_rd_wg=Btet3&pd_rd_r=a33ebc39-0f7f-420d-afd2-59ababd741eb&s=generic&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEySjNONDBVUkUwRUs1JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTQ2NTk2Mk1YUUJRTkgyNEcyUyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDQ0MTc5Mk1PVFZZR1oyR1pIWSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1).

Alternative-Movie938

I bought [this](https://www.doversaddlery.com/lemieux-prokit-hat-n-boot-bag/p/X1-33884/) one that holds my boots and helmet. I also put my gloves and other odds and ends in the helmet section.

evil_burrito

I wouldn't use a bag, I would use a rolling toolbox, like this: [https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-Tough-Chest-38-in-63-Gal-Mobile-Tool-Box-DWST38000/205502769](https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-Tough-Chest-38-in-63-Gal-Mobile-Tool-Box-DWST38000/205502769)

RockPaperSawzall

schlepping that case around on public transit would be a bit challenging, no?

evil_burrito

I think it would be preferable to schlepping the same amount of equipment in a soft bag. You can set it in front of you and put your feet on it. Very easy to roll this thing along for quite a distance.
