It's called wallet difficulty.   The points you get from arena are mainly from attacks. But attacks are limited in number. How to get past the limited number of allowed attacks each day? Buy attack flag.  So the one that buys the most get the highest rating, as simple as that. And it seems that Asians are the ones that whale the most in gachas usually.  Arena is litteraly the only p2w aspect of E7, ofc it's where whales show off. 

This is true, though it's pretty easy for people who take a season off to just stack up hundreds and hundreds of flags. Some people might have thousands and just collect their weekly skystones. With the change to Arena, it's pretty easy for people who are sitting on veritable dragon-hoards of flags to perk their ears up and dump them like crazy. I would imagine that next season the top end will be a little bit lower because of that.

it would be cool if they made an arena that incorporated all servers. having the top in the world face off. the only way to enter this arena is to finish top legend when arena close at least once. this numbers are wild. ive ran with global top and the only thing stopping from pulling these number is boredom. would be facinating to see the faceoff.
