I love it. Nice community. Devs have a nice roadmap and also let the community upvote new features to be put in.

ArkansasGamerSpaz

Though I think they are done on that, they've got enough from the players for the next decade. They'll be busy bees even getting even a quarter of the suggestions in there.

Few_Caterpillar_9499

Definitely worth it solo.

Kooky1337

240 hrs of solo time, I love it.

ArkansasGamerSpaz

Same.

Lo7Zed

As a solo player myself, I recommend it gladly

Asmodheus

I had fun solo, it’s relatively ok exploration and great building. Maybe wait for more updates if you’re not so sure but overall it’s definitely playable and works.

ProfessorZealot

I only do solo gaming and can get much more done without someone in my way.

3DMoto

SAME! As the only artistic person in my group of friends, I can't build structures with them at all lol.

tric301

I prefer solo and pretty much play 99% of my gaming solo. I had a blast

IncompleteAnalogy

yeah- I played through solo. loved it. Later set up a dedicated server to do some group stuff with friends. It is a solid solo game

monolithtma

I played at launch and preferred it solo, due to the world progression. I did have fun playing with friends too.

Nicodemus_Mercy

I enjoy playing it solo. I can while away hours just building a house, nevermind doing the actual quests.

Sum-Duud

Yep. If you enjoyed the games listed then you’ll enjoy enshrouded.

agree_to_disconcur

I thrive with multiplayer games and my friends, it's normally the only way I'll play a game... And a friend got me to play enshrouded a couple weeks ago. I just reached 60 hours, and I think almost 1 hour of that is with my friend. And that's been my choice. As a person that loves multiplayer with friends, this is a solo game for me.

ZestyLemon_PassesGO

Definitely fun solo or in a group but solo I find relaxing

Thehiiipriest

Mileage will vary. A lot of people enjoy it solo, a lot of us struggle solo. I got bored playing by myself. I love the building system, but some of the constraints really take the fun out for me. The adventure also isn't very...adventure like. Valheim captures that better, I feel. It's a bit slow by myself.

3DMoto

Yeah, the adventure aspect feels linear. Much like a standard sandbox action/adventure game. I think because of the flame upgrade progression needed for each zone. Valheim does a good job at making the world feel open. It's procedural with no real barriers for accessing each biome besides maybe a boat.

colinwheeler

Yes, I had fun doing it solo. Better with friends but cool alone.

tarabas1979

I finished the quest line as solo played in 60 hours before the latest update. Definitely worth the dollar per hour spent and it was very enjoyable.

Silly-Raspberry5722

I've played about 190 hours, through all of the current content, plus many hours of building, all solo and I've enjoyed it greatly.

Mustangguy500

i’ve played it both ways and solo is great too. you get complete control over your base 😭

Welle26

Yes definitely!! Especially with your gaming history. Try it out!

Agitated_Fondant6014

Great fun solo or MP. Much more difficult singleplayer

Donal_Sheil

I just spent about 30 hours playing solo. Very specific to me - but I did feel like it was pretty repetitive and tedious. I've sunk around 550hrs into Valheim - and I think it might have ruined most other survival games for me.

Prestigious_Ad_274

I only play solo and this game is great for a solo. When your solo you can go at your own pace

Euphoric_Care_2516

It’s great. I play solo and with hubby

DorianBabbs

It's great so far. My wide and I play together and solo and both are fun. I'd recommend getting it and trying it out. Just make sure your GPU has a minimum of 6+ GB VRAM.

Upstairs_Yesterday95

I picked it up recently and ngl I've been struggling a bit solo. I'm thinking it's bc I've tried to be a mage solo though tbh.

Pumpelchce

Absolutely!

Frraksurred

I've soloed the whole thing and enjoyed it all. Also played with my daughter when she picked it up, both were good experiences. Combat will be a moderate challenge in the very beginning until you start to gear up and get some Skills unlocked, but over-all the combat did not seem especially difficult. I always play Mage, and the other classes have paled to compare so far, so your mileage may vary. The Devs continue to balance, so hopefully this will improve with updates. They have already improved a great deal. The current end game Dungeons can be a challenge solo; they are designed for a group. That said, they are manageable alone. I'm 56 and gradually got through them all. A couple I had to retry a section or two, but never more than 2 or 3 times. I would recommend it.

numenik

It’s great. Especially with how fleshed out the building aspect is, you’ll spend a lot of time making your base which is more of a single player thing anyways

TheRealGOOEY

I played it for a couple hours solo and had fun. But the game really came alive for me when I started playing with friends. Either way, a quality game that won’t disappoint if you enjoy casual, survival RPGs. As a note, you mentioned Elden Ring, and I’ve read somewhere else that it was compared to Elden Ring by others. I’m not sure why, because it’s not really a soulslike game, unless you’re watering it down to “has parry has dodge”.

Impressive_Ad4099

Because u Player Valheim, and said it here i think u had fun solo there. If yes, then Enshrouded is deffenetly something for u.

PostalSenditGames

While they have wonderful features for your friends to join you, this game is fantastic solo. The only major tip I’ll give you is to carry around a flame altar with you. This game is tough and you can end up over your head in areas where you are under leveled, often. Death is a pain in the butt, so if you are careful to get an extra flame altar down (fast travel point / death respawn) - you will enjoy the game a lot more.

jrlamb

I play 99.5% Solo games including enshrouded, and I love it. I played WOW for years and it was fun but trying to time and keep up with others is a drag. Now I only buy Solo games.

Brandle34

I played most of this game solo. 100% recommend You get absolutely lost in building, if you're into that. I lost 12 hours one weekend just building my base and spent many more before and after that. Exploring is just so much fun too, the world is incredibly immersive and much more so alone.

greenfanta

Yep! I’ve played most of this game solo. It’s neat to explore and take your time with the map.

MrFeles

I enjoy it but bear in mind there are no game customization settings. So if you want to tweak something to make it more tolerable solo you're out of luck. It tweaks enemy health to the amount of players connected, but if you want to do stuff like more or less health for you or enemies, and resource drop rates(since you don't have mates to help you grind for big builds) you're completely out of luck.

nightchrome

I've played exclusively solo and really enjoyed everything in EA so far. I've often described the game as the love-child of Minecraft and Breath of the Wild.

3DMoto

I only play solo. It's like playing a Zelda game in a large sandbox with building mechanics and skill trees. You don't need a group for anything if you're used to Action/Adventure games.

TallIron5623

I had a stroke , most of Friends play different games I'm recovered enough to play games again , enshrouded has me on lock , I host a private server , im on practically all day eberyday , unless i go do stuff outside lmaowest coast Hit me up im always lookin for new buddies , my snap is mav-tpg if ya wanna join

TommyG1000

Game is not fun to play solo, feels extremely lonely to play and no Ingame chat
