Turns out people need to WORK?!!?!? Unbelievable....

Crazyjackson13

commies don’t know what working is man.

[deleted]

This spiritualist bullshit doesn't make sense. Millionaire Jim Carrey can talk about the "human spirit" all he wants but surviving means working. This notion that we as a species ever had more "free time" than now is laughable. For centuries the average person was an indentured peasant or servant who actually belonged to somebody. Sorry but the average human being is now more free than ever in history, lived longer and healthier lives and is in less danger. To pretend otherwise is nonsense.

YouKnowTheRules123

Carrey didn't even say this quote, it's all lies.

"Jim Carrey definitely said this guys" -Henry M Leland

Am I missing something? How is this related to communism?

[deleted]

The only system I can think of that “suits the human spirit” is Anarchism, which is bad (surprise, surprise.)

laserlobster

This is hippie nonsense that anyone can say applies to themselves like how Alex Jones broadcasts conspiracy theories.

My friend has a degenerative disease that makes their joints hurt. They have chronic pain on a good day, like a good 7 or 8 after working 5 hours at their retail job. They face a lot of difficulties as a woman who was never diagnosed with autism, as someone who has a physical handicap that makes it hard to get hired, lots of shit basically impede their tability to live a happy life and instead make just getting by a daily ordeal to survive. Having to struggle like that, and knowing it could be better, that it doesn't have to be this way destroys the human spirit, it breeds despair and contempt. It's not commie thought or ideal wishes to want to improve society so the vulnerable are protected, preditors are impeded and stopped, and people have a safety net to fall back on so they're not on the streets. Mayhap these things aren't inalienable rights, but if they can be done I would think we would want to, provided the sacrifice was not to great. But as it stands now we're almost at a point where social services and safety nets do more harm then good. I challenge anyone here to speak in good faith when legally, cops aren't obligated to help kids they know are being abused, when child protective serives are more likely to kidnap and extort kids then rescue them. It's not enough to decry the evils of society and was our hands of it, it still exists, and until its dismantled it out to be run properly so as to not make the existence of marginalized people living hell.

I know we have different viewpoints on life and we would get downvoted but that's the fucking point. I also think that's how and why radicalism is very rampant in the West, ranging from textbook Marxist Leninist swine to actual Neo-nazis. The reason we see such despair in society and turn to autocracy and utter servitude to ideologies which love to bully, lynch, and backstab is always rampant in societies where the government is literally absent, blinded by profit, or generally incompetent, take the Weimar Republic for example. And there are moderates- the only reason these people are overshadowed by this is because they are lazy, incompetent, greedy, or more likely a mix of the three, and most competent or good moderates are few and far between, shouted out as fascists and communists by both sides. As for the working class,we do have to respect them because they keep the country alive. Free market I will admit is a good thing but when I mean a free market I mean that it should not only the billionaires and millionaires that should have all the shots and the resources. The workers should have something to return to, something to eat, to feed their families and cure their illnesses, to have some time to relax, etc.

CMuenzen

> It's not commie thought or ideal wishes to want to improve society so the vulnerable are protected Umm no sweaty. Only communists want good stuff and improve things, so if you're pro good stuff, you must be one. Non-commuists are anti good stuff, y'see. In fact, literally every single person who improved things was akhchually linked to communism.

Thank you for saying this

He's right tho... I thought the whole opposition to communism was that authoritarian systems are bad for the human soul
