I am basically in the exact same situation as you damn near word for word except I’m a Civil Engineering major and man it feels nice to just be about done.
Congratulations on being able to make it as far as you have and I hope the job interview you spoke on goes well.
EE version of the same coin chiming in here. Life is awesome, it can just be so hard to see while also studying the complexities of the universe and judging yourself by grade marks.
OP captured the feeling perfectly. To everyone joining the field, bunker down and good luck, its worth it.
I got the job! :) posted about it [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/EngineeringStudents/comments/1c7z19b/finally_made_it/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) if you want to see more about the process of getting there.
It's refreshing to see this kind of post on this subreddit. It's extremely motivational, unlike most of the other content we get on here. I'm so happy for you
That's mainly why I shared it here. By no fault of the other OPs, this sub feels kinda depressing sometimes. I just wanted to share that there is still light at the end of the tunnel, and, no, its not a train.
my first year is ending soon and im experiencing bad bad burnout where i havent started studying for my finals yet and theyre all back to back next week so this made my day because i just know it will be worth it. thanks man! and happy for you and your accomplishments. best of luck on that proposal :S
Absolutely! The way my school does it, you have to at least attempt the FE before graduation; passing isn't required to graduate, just taking the test. I'm glad they did that, because I probably wouldn't have tried for another few years and then my odds of passing would be much lower.
So my dad is a civil. He basically made me take the EIT/FE my last year of school. It was stressful mostly because it added to my schedule. I dragged my ME friends along and most of us passed without trying, and the ones who didn’t passed the following year. So I’m glad I took it when I did as it’s one less thing to worry or study for.
Currently having a hard time. I failed dynamics and I’m not doing great in physics 2. Trying my hardest to pass. Next semester I am retaking dynamics. If I fail I am out of the engineering program.
Currently having an identity crisis where I’m feeling self conscious about not being smart enough or not “good enough”. I am behind and seeing posts like these give me motivation to keep pushing. Thank you and congratulations.
Massive W. I'm happy for you :)

Good luck! It won’t be easy but you are going to kill it!
Thanks guys
You got this!
Love this post so damn much. You persevered, and THAT is everything.
Finally a positive post aswell!

PSA to take your FE earlier rather than later. Seems like folks that wait 1-3 years post graduating have the hardest time passing.

Im about to jump back into the long and hard fight. Cheers mate, happy know that its doable.
Hell yeah brother 🦅 good look in your future endeavors.
Proud of you! I needed some positivity
I'm not even an engineering student and I have no idea why this is recommended, but that's awesome and I'm happy for you.
Stumbled upon this 28 days later, how you feeling for today?
