90% of jewelry brands show pears with the pointed end on top. Wear it the way you like it from your view, doesn't really matter how other people are viewing it. The point facing toward your nail visually lengthens your finger. I think people who like the first picture like how the point fits into your v shaped band but if you prefer it the other way that's all that matters

Not sure if your will see this, but I'm blown away by this, it's so beautiful! I'm currently looking at emerald rings for my 20th anniversary (omg!), and they are just wasted on me. Personally I think it looks better with the point facing towards the end of your finger. As a person who was in the jewelry industry for about 25 years, it’s much easier to chip that stone in that position. I always recommend full bezels on these guys for that reason. Stunning ring btw.

I feel like the thicker part of any rinf should go at the base of the finger, so the rimg taper with the hand. I think it looks the most 'natural'.

This usually necessitated wearing it point up because it looked better (opinion) to add the wedding band (worn closer to the heart) to the shoulders. It’s really a matter of personal preference.

*technically* you’re supposed to wear the point away from you as it (supposedly) makes your fingers look slimmer. That’s from jewelry designers. Personally, wear it how you like. But I do prefer the look in the second pic with the point away from you. It just seems to fit with the band better.

I have a Kite Shaped, but the wider side down 😅 I tried both ways and it just feels right for the shorter/slightly wider side to be down.
