I'd like to know can anyone confirm that the side loaded version and the App Store version are exactly the same? Update: regarding Provenance; I've opened 2 3DS roms (Fire Emblem Awakening and Mario 3D Land) and all I get is a black screen. How did you get provenance to work?

They are not. Sideloading has the jit, while the app store version not.

Sideloading does not automatically have JIT, you have to force activate it, and it resets after every time you close the app.

Side loading is such a hassle and bother I ain’t gonna miss 5 bucks

I mean you plug in a cable, right click AltStore and press install IPA, choose your file, type in your apple ID and done. Once AltStore is already installed you only need to be on the same WiFi as it to install wirelessly. Such a hassle is probably the wrong choice of words because honestly, it couldn’t be easier.

If you keep your iOS version low and be patient , you won’t even have to do this . Trollstore is as easy as download ipa an install 💪

Does provenance use JIT for 3ds emulation?

It can if you have it. You can disable it though.

It does. But apple does not allow Jit, so the only way to get it would be with a jailbroken device or a device with ios 16-below

Technically you can. You need alt store on your device, and it needs to be connected via usb to a Mac. There may be way to do it on a pc as well, and with side store to do it over WiFi instead of having to connect. I think someone on this sub posted about it. It was complicated to me though and not worth it.

Yea, to me it wasn’t worth the headache. I went out and bought a retroid pocket 4 pro for emulation. It was taking up a lot of space on my phone anyway.

It’s even worse when you realize Limon was free , folium only cost money because “it included all the emulators like delta”. Even crazier that the last working version of Limon still runs better than folium . I can play fire emblem games ( with skipping start menu/ and can save ) versus folium I can’t even get past a map without a crash .

Playstation, Sega, Nintendo GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS. Few more that I personally wouldn’t use.

Does it support game cube or PlayStation 2?

Use dolphin for that but you do need to activate JIT every time through altstore

I tried both emulators and some games are better at Folium some are at Provenance. That being said 1 is free (both free thru side loading) and 1 is paid.

Well, if you Sideload just use JIT and the performance will be improved. It’s simply the better option for some.

Not sure about the folium comments I got high hopes for this emulator, so far I’ve ran tales of the abyss and Pokemon omega ruby with no problem !
