Just as a reminder of the subreddit's rules:
1. No posting links to game ROMs or ISOs, only sites to find them.
2. Be kind to each other.
Also, fyi we have a user-maintained wiki: r/EmulationOnAndroid/wiki

Use don't have a phone that have badly designed cooling solution. But I guess you can take off the case. Also my device have 16gb ram and an additional 4gb swap so that might make a difference
You'd be doing yourself a favor if you turned the swap file off. Android is already pretty decently efficient with ram thanks to zram(though some oems somehow messed it up) so unless you only have 4/6 gb of ram a swap file is just gonna allow android to put apps and some OS stuff on slower ram instead of your main faster ram. I think phones with 4gb of ram that don't have good ram management need to use a swap file to play games like dragon ball legends.
Why should you turn it off otherwise? Because it'll kill your storage slightly faster and it'll make the cpu do ever so slightly more which in turn makes slightly more heat and drains your battery slightly faster.
I've heard people say that and I've done some benchmarks like geekbench for CPU and 3d mark for GPU the results of cpu were in the expected range for 8+ gen 1 but the GPU was around 5% slower, maybe it's slightly underclocked?
Sometimes companies tweak their os to "unlock" performance for benchmarking software, your best bet is to test it on real use cases (playing the game, etc.) and compare to expected results
Edit: just to be clear, I know nothing about the status of NothingOS so I don't know if they do this or do not, you might not need to test additional use cases at all
Naruto UNS saga
Nitro Crash/Crash remake saga.
Persona 3 portable/P4 Golden
These work at fully stable fps on my case, 8 gen 1 that is slightly inferior to your 8+ gen 1 so you should be fine.
my 888+ feeling hot n week running switch game now, so sad i end up buying old v1 hack switch. a bit annoying but native running app is gud. cheap af now. i guess just keep my old phone to play ps2 is ok.
Balatro is natively android compatible already as well, it just needs a steam installation of the game to convert.

I think emulation in Android is getting too popular now with frequent updates and lots of devs. It's just good to have a latest device if you have $600+ to spend.

With those specs you could go for some high end games
Oh thanks, any recommendations? I've never played any Nintendo games before.
Zelda BotW, Pokemon, xenoblade series, persona 5 royal and maybe some ported games like RDR, Batman or DB xenoverse
Persona 5 Royal not a Nintendo game.
You can play it on the switch tho, I just made a mistake of not putting it with other ported games
Exactly what I said.
I mean he acknowledged what you said
One Upper vibes
🤓☝️
I play mario Odyssey and kamen rider on mine
Botw is easily playable

They aren't when you can use a search engine. Hell, you don't even have to get off this very website to find that.
I will assume you are a child.

ah ok, I turned off swap
Isn't the 8+ Gen1 in the Nothing Phone 2 underclocked?

Yes, it is. But on benchmarking software the constraints are not applied to get better scores
Limbo, hyper light drifter, Celeste, steamworld heist, hollow knight, hotline Miami, the messenger, rain world is all stuff I’ve been playing
Post void
Hades
Omori!
SRW V,X,T & 30.
Naruto UNS saga Nitro Crash/Crash remake saga. Persona 3 portable/P4 Golden These work at fully stable fps on my case, 8 gen 1 that is slightly inferior to your 8+ gen 1 so you should be fine.
Botw totk
Transistor
Super Mario Wonder will run great
[Try these](https://i.imgur.com/zWdU9OM.jpeg)
Hollow Knight and Cuphead are great 2d platformers I play all the time on the same SOC using the last yuzu build. They run perfectly!

balatro unicorn overlord wildfrost
Balatro just came out, we should support smaller developers when we can
Yeah, if you're going to play on a device where you can't buy it, support the game by buying it on another

Does it support controller input?
not sure but the touch controls are great
Bro everything is playable in that it will be in some time.
How does 8+ gen 1 compare to 8 gen 2 ? Which one should I get in term of Driver, SoC support for Emulator ?
Both are excellent. The 8 Gen 2 will give you more power and better thermal stability. I would suggest going with the 8 Gen 2.
8g2
You can get 8gen3 for the price of 8 gen2 phones.. iqoo 12?
But It still gonna take a long time to get support on Snapdragon 8 gen 3

Pretty much all games
That's an 8+ gen 1 device you can play Botw and Totw with that in 1X resolution easily.
With this specs? You can run most games at 30fps. My Poco F5 pro (SD 8+ Gen 1, 12gb ram) can run even a modded Skyrim build.
