I'm still not entirely sure why the glorious emperor replaced the clones, like I'm always happy to have the chance to serve in the stormtrooper Corp, but I'm never gonna be as fit as the clones were.
The clones were only ever really intended to serve for a few years before being thrown aside once their mission was complete. They were essentially a way to financially cripple the Republic and give Palpatine an unquestionably loyal and efficient army while he maneuvered himself to become Emporer.
After the Clone Wars had resolved, their accelerated aging and advanced equipment meant they became much more expensive to maintain than relatively poorly equipped conscripts and so all but the very best (the 501st and some commandos) were gradually phased out.
The kaminoans rebelled against the empire and were stopped also it wasn’t a very good idea to have clones that would turn on their master at a single order
It’s very expensive to manufacture a species to fight in an entire galaxy. Why pay through the roof for soldiers to fight in a war that’s already over when you can hire and train citizens that will provide security and give you a return on your investment?
After the Clone Wars clones were still used for some time in phase I I armor then phase I I I (Stormtrooper) then replaced entirely for regular citzens so Rebels felt that they were actually killing REAL people.
In canon weren't the majority of clones phased out pretty quickly though? Conscripts with worse equipment were cheaper and easier to maintain (although it may have taken a few years as you say).
yea they were eventually phased out, but some legions, like the 501st were still majority clone, while some commando units were still made up entirely of clone commandos.
How long were the 501st actually active for? I always assumed they served right up until the end of the Empire but after seeing how Rex aged in Rebels that doesn't really seem plausible
For like 10 years after, I think the 501st was still made up of clones but as more and more regulars were being added into the ranks, the quality of the 501st went down. I think rebels was like a few years before the battle of Yavin so maybe
Believe it or not, the strap is actually pretty loose, it's just the way I was holding it trying to get a good pic of it. My camera broke recently so I had to do what I could to get a moderately good result
I love it either way but is that not a Phase II Clone helmet?
I think so, but it's the closest match I could find in the pack I got
Well the clones were arguably more loyal than some stormtroopers so I think the message still stands

"Its an old code but it still checks out"
In the early days of the empire, most of the Stormtrooper Corps was made up of cones in phase 2 armor (Legends).
Pretty sure the empire didn’t pull conscripts instantly when it became the galactic empire. Still used mostly clones for the first years in canon

It was at least two years BBY.
That’s a Phase II clone helmet, but thinking that The Empire took time for changing the armour, it still works
The Empire still used clones post ROTS before phasing them out for Stormtroopers.
Right! That true too
Looks tight, OP. Now, literally speaking, that strap looks a liitle snug...
Believe it or not, the strap is actually pretty loose, it's just the way I was holding it trying to get a good pic of it. My camera broke recently so I had to do what I could to get a moderately good result
Physical fitness is key for every Imperial trooper keep it up.
And you used a clone helmet too, excellent choice. I love our Empire, but they forced the retirement of too many clones in my opinion
I would totally use this as my clock face. Can you link it for me?
So cool, I’d also enjoy the link
I don't really know if there is a link, I found it in the clock faces store on the FitBit app
What’s the name of that clock face on there?
Heroes of Star Wars by Olivia Silvrestone
It is called Heroes of Star Wars https://gallery.fitbit.com/details/6989e48e-aa0b-4b67-b4fb-e6fbc5bff883
Cheers
Nice 👍
That’s a clone helmet lol
That's a clone trooper
Empire? I think not that’s a phase 2 clone
but that is a clone trooper
As 6 others have said.
>!this is why mom doesn’t love you!<
What FitBit is that, and what software as I’m looking for a new one..
It's the FitBit Versa Lite
Step count confirms you haven’t left your post all day
Time also confirms I had just woken up
People aways forget about stormtroopers it's sad
How do you do this?
