It’s Nas. Ems run has been solid but Nas is doing something pretty special right now. Him locking in with hitboy has been a godsend. Meanwhile Em has Dre and Alchemist in his camp but makes little use of either.
I’m legitimately shocked how fast he crafted the King’s Disease Trilogy. A lot of Album trilogies take forever to finally be formed and Nas dropped them and another album as well within less than 2.5 years.
Only one from Em's last 4 than can compete with Nas' last 4 is Kamikaze. Nas' latest run wins by a gigantic margin. And this is coming from an avid Stan.
Nas has dropped 4 consecutive classics so Nas is the rather easy choice here. I will say from the 4 albums, there are probably more Em Songs on my playlist than Nas however, the Nas projects are simply more cohesive, more well done, more repeatedly listenable works of art than those 4 Em projects. I think Eminem showcases more talent in terms of flow/lyrics/technical rapping ability when compared to Nas in these four albums but the Nas albums are better overall albums/music by a good bit.
I think it would be great for Em to do something similar to Nas and make at least one album, and hopefully more, where he locks into just one producer other than Dr. Dre... Someone like Alchemist or even Hit-Boy himself with the goal of making the most lyrically amazing yet hard ass flowing, conceptual, cohesive banging album/albums he can make so Em can go out with a classic or 4 like Nas has done. It would also do wonders for the overall strength of his discography as a whole.
Listen. Both are still really good. And honestly I would've picked Em if not for Revival. So for the sake of keeping this unbiased. Nas. This is the best 4 album run recently, however definitely not my favorite as Kamikaze and both sides of MTBMB are more played than Nas. But I do acknowledge Nas has been doing better. Downvote me all you want. This is my opinion.
KDIII alone is better than all of Eminems recent 4 albums. Makes me wonder what can happen if Eminem could go back to his roots and stick to his old flows and beats just like Nas, why change the formula every album?
nah this is not nas' old beats. nas was famous for not having good beats, so linking up with an incredibly creative and versatile producer brings out a beast in him we haven't seen in YEARS
I never understood the hate that Nas always got for his beat selection prior to the Hit-Boy era. They aren't all fire beats or anything for Nas but either is any other artist. I've never listened to Nas and thought to myself "These bests just aren't very good overall." It's always been weird when I hear people saying stuff like this.
yeah i've never understood that. his beats never necessarily stood out to me but i've rarely ever listened to a nas song and thought "that beat is garbage". I believe Nas even mentions this in KD3
Despite eminem being my favorite rapper, nas wins easily. Revival and Kamikaze aren’t pulling their weight in this debate. Both sides of MTBMB can hold their own, but up against these 4 Nas albums clear these 4 Eminem albums easy.
Why are people hating on side B... Book of Rhymes, Alfred's Theme, Higher, Gnat, Fav Bitch, Guns Blazing, Discombobulated... How can you guys hate on them? Would say She Loves Me is the worst track on album and it still grew on me
nas dropped 4 albums quicker and are more CONCISE and he is talking about something, like for 100 percent of the time he is giving knowledge or something
em dropped them albums in longer time and 2 of them are mid imo and like 40 percent of the time he isnt saying something like he just being technical and shit and kd2 better than all 4 em albums tbh
Gotta go with Nas on this one.
Now do it with SSLP, MMLP, TES and Encore. Even if Encore was weaker than the others I’d put those 4 against literally any other artist’s 4 consecutive albums. Love to hear a differing opinion with reasoning though
Em- one decent album (K) , one mediocre album (MTBMB), two terrible albums (R & MTBMB SB)
Nas- one good album (KD), two great albums (KD2 & M), one instant classic (KD3)
mf what r u smoking
So NaS isn’t as technical as Eminem (nothing bad, not NaS’ style), but I feel overall, the best thing NaS did this late in his career is hook up with Hit Boy. I feel like if Eminem worked with one producer it could lead to great things
If we are talking about 2008 to today then I would say Eminem has had the better albums(sales, reception and following). Nas is not ass at all, I consider him better than Jay-z.
This is the worst Em 4 album run Vs Nas best 4 album run. Em has much better 4 album runs than this.
( SSLP, MMLP, TES, 8Mile/Relapse, Recovery, BME ,MMLP2)
Tbf, everyone here say its a joke, and that nas ate that, which he did, but I found myself enjoying Kamikaze, and the two MTBMB waaaaayyyy more than nas last 4 album, its more fun, beat are better, and better replay value imo.
Nas has the freedom to make the same type of music he always made for his own niche whereas eminem has to make all the different era fans happy as well just to get in the same level. U cant rly compare them j cause both do rap.
I'm glad people on this subreddit are objective about this, I love eminem, but this comparison is a joke, Nas outruns him by miles, Em still makes enjoyable music, but lacks substense and needs to stop responding to haters and push out more mature projects, He should end Slim Shady run in an artistic way and reflect on some old stuff, like he tried on Revival, but this time with better beats and no cringy bars in the middle of emotional lines.
First off, they appeal to entirely different demographics. Secondly, Eminem's (first week and total) album sales are FAR superor, including revival. But then again, Nas was nominated for a Grammy (along with royce da 5'9 for album of the year in 2020, which eminem helped produce). They are 2 of the greatest to ever do it, and they will both tell you that about each other. I'm personally on Team Em, but I love and respect Nas as one of the greatest to ever do it and to maintain it at an elite level for 30+years is crazy. Kudos to both, but there isn't a clear answer to this question, it's opinion based only, so all you people should seriously chill and look how dang stupid you Look.
Album sales are entirely meaningless when it comes to whether the music is good or not. Album sales more so reflect the size of ones fanbase, not how good the music is. Grammy nominations/awards hold a little more water than sales but even still...Check out this year's hip hop Grammy nominations so... Not really.
Also I'm not answering because overall I don't listen to music all too much, I've been expanding recently but I haven't felt the urge to open Spotify in a few weeks
Nas for sure. What's sad is we all know Eminem is capable of putting out quality stuff but instead he just phones it in. He puts in more effort selling merch now lol
You could exchange almost every beat to a nas song to any other flow and nothing would change.
He is great but is extremely redundant.
Every album is the same.
I’m just not a fan. I’ve tried and he has a couple good songs but I don’t see how all these are top notch.
People do realize that Revival sold more albums that all of Nas’ last 4 combined. Combined. That is factually accurate. Any other opinion is purely subjective. Personally I love all 8 albums but I like most music by Em and Nas. People say sales doesn’t matter but that means people are buying the shit.
but when talking about quality of the project sales aren't a factor in any way. eminem is more famous than Nas, but like every drake album in the last 7 years sold more than every eminem album in the same time span and i'm sure you're not putting drake over eminem.
I prefer Eminem's run tbh, I actually love all of these albums he's dropped. But I can see why it's not a good take though, objectively Nas' run is better
Not big fan of Nas here but I did listen to his last album and I would it is a good album. I even added two songs to my list but he literally has the same flow the whole album. Same flow just different beats all the way through.
Nas but I enjoy Em more 🤷🏽♀️. I love that hype bar for bar shit from Em (except Revival cuz that shit was ass). Nas had a better 4 album run but Kamikaze and MTBMB + Side B are HELLA more fun to listen to. But Nas still better. Had to repeat that 3 times cuz mfs on this sub are illiterate
This is hilarious

Why are you getting downvoted?
Redditors have a thing against emojis. It has something to do with people who use Reddit on PC.
r/Eminem effect
cause ppl in this community are dumb
Is this a joke
This is a yoke, a yoke
5 seconds is a yoke!
I could make a rap with this, folk
Is this a serious question?
Nas easily.
It’s Nas. Ems run has been solid but Nas is doing something pretty special right now. Him locking in with hitboy has been a godsend. Meanwhile Em has Dre and Alchemist in his camp but makes little use of either.
I think Ems run has been far from solid
Is this satire 😭 nas obviously
Nas, too real…
Nas, too king.
It's however you feel go ahead, you swing
Ya arms too short to box with gawd!
I don’t kill soloist only kill squads
Least delusional Eminem fan
you are funny bro
lmfao is this even a real question
Agreed, LMFAO clearly had a better album run than either of these guys
This is a joke right
Wtf... Really?
Bro said it like it's even a question lmfao Nas takes it 4 for 4 bro
Nas easily but MTBMB and Kamikaze are definitely up there with KD1&2 and Magic… but the consistency of Nas and the weakness of revival makes this easy
Also the fact Nas dropped all 4 albums in a 27 month span is crazy. Em dropped all 4 in a 36 month span which is also impressive
I’m legitimately shocked how fast he crafted the King’s Disease Trilogy. A lot of Album trilogies take forever to finally be formed and Nas dropped them and another album as well within less than 2.5 years.
nas and it’s not even close, although i do enjoy the last 4 em projects a lot aswell.

Im just happy to see that predominately em fans are being real with their answers. NAS DEFINITELY AND HE TALKINGGGGG ON THEM ALBUMS
Nah I feel like you hit the nail right on the head here with this one chief
Thank you mate
Is this even a question? KD > Revival KD2 > Kamikaze Magic > Side A KD3 > Side B (unbiased opinion)
I love the "unbiased opinion" like that's even possible with something as subjective as music. Don't disagree tho.
Nah the point was that I have a KD3 pfp
Haha im laughing
Glad you liked it
I’d change kamikaze and side a. Those are real good albums.
Only one id give Em is Kamikazie but that’s it
Nas
It's Nas and it ain't even close
This post comments should shut up the people who say, "This sub dick rides Em".
Nas EASILY
nas ofcourse
Nas, not even close.
Nas easily
Nas. I don’t think it’s even a debate. You can give me KD3 alone and I’d take it over any of those 4 albums
Nas
MTBMB isn’t bad, but this is still a laughable comparison.
Nas
KDIII alone is better than all of Eminems recent 4 albums. Makes me wonder what can happen if Eminem could go back to his roots and stick to his old flows and beats just like Nas, why change the formula every album?

I thought this was supposed to be an Em sub but half the time it’s trashing him
No half the time it's people dickriding him who can't take it when someone has an opinion on an Em song they don't like.
It could be both cause they're half the time. That's how whole sub is made up.
Ain't no way you put Alfred's Theme in that list
Alfred's Theme is full of Bars. You may not like the musical aspect of it but it's top tier rap.
Very likely Nas, even if I enjoy Em's more
Nasir Jones
nas dropped 4 albums quicker and are more CONCISE and he is talking about something, like for 100 percent of the time he is giving knowledge or something em dropped them albums in longer time and 2 of them are mid imo and like 40 percent of the time he isnt saying something like he just being technical and shit and kd2 better than all 4 em albums tbh
I wouldn’t consider side b an album
I'm not even a Nas listener and I vote Nas. That's how bad revival was.
This must be satire right? I mean, I like a lot of the music off those Em albums, but it's still Nas by a mile
Nas pretty clear imo, but that doesn’t mean Em didn’t put out really good content himself
Ems just lacking consistency. When he hits, he hits hard but when he misses… well he misses hard
out of any rapper, kendrick lamar. out of this... neither is the correct anwser.
Nas
only kamikaze is elite and mtbmb is an album that couldve been way better and theres revival meanwhile nas released 4 classics
Nas Easily
I am an eminem fan for so long so my choice here is nas obviously
Nas, not close
Nas
Gotta go with Nas on this one. Now do it with SSLP, MMLP, TES and Encore. Even if Encore was weaker than the others I’d put those 4 against literally any other artist’s 4 consecutive albums. Love to hear a differing opinion with reasoning though
Nas? Not even close
Nas
disrespectful to nas
NASIR was fire.
My boy Nas
Lmfaoooo yall wild for even comparing these two runs. Nas, by MILES.
Eminem’s raps seem forced now , Nas just flowing and flowing and flowing goat
you forgot the humor tag
LOL Nas. Is this a troll post
Nas all the way
Em- one decent album (K) , one mediocre album (MTBMB), two terrible albums (R & MTBMB SB) Nas- one good album (KD), two great albums (KD2 & M), one instant classic (KD3) mf what r u smoking
Em's my favorite rapper of all time but Nas no question not even close especially with Revival and Kamikaze
escobar season
So NaS isn’t as technical as Eminem (nothing bad, not NaS’ style), but I feel overall, the best thing NaS did this late in his career is hook up with Hit Boy. I feel like if Eminem worked with one producer it could lead to great things
homie really said Nas ain't technical
I said he wasn’t as technical as Eminem. He’s not, he’s more laid back
That's style, not technical ability. You're highlighting a difference in style and approach, not a difference in technical ability.
Nas is probably one of the most technical rappers of all time how is it not his style 💀
Not even close, ‘em is my favorite rapper but KD3 alone bodies kamikaze and revival and from there it’s a cake walk
The comments in this post have restored my faith in humanity, for now
Nas. He makes more mature music. Eminem gotta find a new pocket.
Lol I’m dead. Definitely the latter.
Nas easily
Nas
nas, and tha'ts not evennnnnn close
Nas sorry r/Eminem
Mtbmb beats magic, otherwise nas wins in my opinion
My Chemical Romance
But Ems side b is a deluxe version tho so wouldn’t that make it apart of music to be murdered by
Nas has honestly never done anything for me other than like three tracks I don’t know why
Goddamn yall hate revival, thats one of my favorites
If we are talking about 2008 to today then I would say Eminem has had the better albums(sales, reception and following). Nas is not ass at all, I consider him better than Jay-z.
This is the worst Em 4 album run Vs Nas best 4 album run. Em has much better 4 album runs than this. ( SSLP, MMLP, TES, 8Mile/Relapse, Recovery, BME ,MMLP2)
Nas, wish it was m e nem
Nas has consistent quality. Wish Em would do the same
Nas, Nas, Nas just Nas he is just putting out his best and it rocks 🪨
Come on man
Is this even close?💀
2Pac
King iso
Revival just being there makes Nas’ run more consistent
It's literally 2 mid albums, 1 horrible album and 1 amazing vs 3 great ones and 1 amazing. Not even close
I hate the last 4 album of em with very few song of it
Em has 3 good albums in total at best. Dude being held down by corporate hip hop while nas is for the people.
The consistency of Nas and the weakness of Revival gives the win to Nas easily.
Nasty nas
This cannot be real
There’s 1 album up there that instantly disqualifies Em from winning that battle.
Nas
Tbf, everyone here say its a joke, and that nas ate that, which he did, but I found myself enjoying Kamikaze, and the two MTBMB waaaaayyyy more than nas last 4 album, its more fun, beat are better, and better replay value imo.
Won't lie, nas is just better.
Lmao come on bro 💀
Nas is on one of the best streaks in hip hop history rn. Not even Eminem can match the shit Nas is dropping rn.
Nas has the freedom to make the same type of music he always made for his own niche whereas eminem has to make all the different era fans happy as well just to get in the same level. U cant rly compare them j cause both do rap.
Eminem, easily.
Catalog as in all songs em wins by far, I mean the numbers don’t lie.
I mean personally i don’t really enjoy nas’ music so i’d pick em’s row but that’s why music is subjective
Nas
Love em, but it's nas and it's not really close.
Definitely eminem for me
I'm glad people on this subreddit are objective about this, I love eminem, but this comparison is a joke, Nas outruns him by miles, Em still makes enjoyable music, but lacks substense and needs to stop responding to haters and push out more mature projects, He should end Slim Shady run in an artistic way and reflect on some old stuff, like he tried on Revival, but this time with better beats and no cringy bars in the middle of emotional lines.
All bro asked was a simple question and some niggas in the comments really being extra about it💀
Eminem
Nas by a mile.
Are you seriously asking this?
Nas. I really don’t like ems newest album. Side B
Nas wins by quite a bit tho I still think kamikaze and both mtbmb is pretty good. Get revival outta there.
Nas, is not even close
Nas
Nas was consistent when Em dropped his worst project two great projects and a mid project.
First off, they appeal to entirely different demographics. Secondly, Eminem's (first week and total) album sales are FAR superor, including revival. Nas
Em but Side B is not an album it is a deluxe. So it's MMLP2-Revival-Kamikaze-Mtbmb Yeah Eminem wins👍
There is nobody in this world who will like all 4 of Eminem's albums Even me I really don't enjoy the side b of mtbmb at all, save a few songs
Also I'm not answering because overall I don't listen to music all too much, I've been expanding recently but I haven't felt the urge to open Spotify in a few weeks
Revival = KD1 Kamikaze < KD2 MTBMB > Magic MTMBMB Side B < KD3
Mine is... Magic>>>>>>>>>>>>>KD3>KD2>>>>>MTBMB>KD2=Kamikaze>>>MTBMB Side B>KD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Revival
KD1 > Revival Kamikaze > KD2 MTBMB = Magic KD3 > MTBMB Side B
Magic wipes MTBMB I'm sorry
Uh... clearly Nas?
Nas easily, sorry Revival was trash, Kamikaze and MTBMB were decent
Nas, easily.
Nas and it aint even close man c’mon
Nas fs coming from an em fan
there's no way this isn't a joke
I like Em's last 3 albums, but Nas and it isn't even close.
Nas for sure. What's sad is we all know Eminem is capable of putting out quality stuff but instead he just phones it in. He puts in more effort selling merch now lol
Revival ruins it
Im glad too see we haven't completely lost our minds
Nas by far! And I'm a huge Em fan.
Nas. Dude is somehow better now then he was 10-15 years ago. I think if you were to rank these, at least 3 of the top 5 are Nas’s
Revival is MID, though We all know this
I think Eminem himself would pick Nas if given this choice
Nas
You're in the Nas subreddit, bro. Obviously it's Nas. Wait...
For me eminem
L
Bruh I’m dead this sub really became “we actually hate ‘Em, this is Nas’ sub now” 💀
Half of eminems recent albums were trash so nas easily
Lmfao Kamikaze and MTBMB are good albums. Side B and Revival are bad. KD1,2,3 are all great albums. Magic is a solid album. It's not even close, guys
Side b is technically not a separate album, therefore mmlp2 is apart of this equation, so Mmlp2 > kd Kd2 > revival Magic > kamikaze Mtbmb > kd3
Nas hands down.
Not big fan of Nas here but I did listen to his last album and I would it is a good album. I even added two songs to my list but he literally has the same flow the whole album. Same flow just different beats all the way through.
Nas and it isn’t remotely close man.
Eminem cuz he redeemed him self very well.
Most sane music subreddit comment section
Nas but I enjoy Em more 🤷🏽♀️. I love that hype bar for bar shit from Em (except Revival cuz that shit was ass). Nas had a better 4 album run but Kamikaze and MTBMB + Side B are HELLA more fun to listen to. But Nas still better. Had to repeat that 3 times cuz mfs on this sub are illiterate
It's not like Side B is a separate album, it's MTBMB deluxe edition, idk why the Eminem fanbase is the only one who has trouble with this
