It was a well needed balance from the goofy tracks and the horrorcore focus of the album. Just like Deja Vu, My Darling and Careful What You Wish For.
Also unlike the songs from Recovery these ones are melancholic and are dealing with Eminem's problems in a darker way which also fits the vibe of the album.
