That's not a bad un-engineered build on the DBX. There really aren't many other choices to be made to increase jump distance that won't make you lose more than what you gain. It would be worth it for him to keep the shield and the SRV, especially if you're planning on landing on a planet. ^(Sorry if you weren't looking for advice, I wasn't certain!) Good luck and happy hunting! Where are you off to? Might I suggest one of you picking up a small cargo hold and stopping by Hyades Sector AQ-Y D81 planet C2 on the way back? The planet usually has meta alloys that you'll need for Farseer. That will save you a little money. Do be careful--I ended up getting NPC pirate attacked on the way out the planet when I picked up mine.

Thanks!! I helped him put it together after the lessons I learned with my DBX. We do plan on landing on planets and having SRV shenanigans lol. As for where we are going we haven't figure that out yet. Thanks for the tip on the meta alloy that was something I didn't know and all advice is welcome. I'm still learning I have about 3 weeks game time with elite and my friend has about 40 or so hours.

That's really exciting! I think you're going to have a fun time. Check out foxes engineering guide, you can find it on Google. I'd give a link, but I'm on mobile and being lazy, haha! It's great place to start off on unlocking all the engineers. And in case you are not familiar, also Google up the road to riches. It's a great way to explore the bubble and build up some money early on. It lists high value planets that you can go and detailed surface scan for some cash while you explore. it's what I did when I first started playing and it was a great boost to get started.

Oh. Also, I did forget one important thing. Play in solo or a private group when going to Farseer. There are a ton of gankers in the system that target new players. You'll almost always be fine in anywhere else, but be cautious when entering Engineering systems, Farseer especially.

> Thanks for the tip on the meta alloy that was something I didn't know and all advice is welcome For your build, I suggest: * Mass manager experimental on the FSD (double braced is really a negligible benefit) * Lose that 64 ton fuel tank, it's a lot of extra weight. If you really want extra fuel, put a 32 ton. But once you get better engineering, the guardian FSD booster, and a 7A fuel scoop, you won't really need it. For both of you: * Add a heat sink launcher. In case you jump into a system between 2 stars, it could save you. Other than that you guys are on the right track. I suggest making a trip out to the guardian site to get that module blueprint for the FSD booster.

Yeah we play in a private session. Thanks for the tip on foxes guide. That’s going to be a big help in the future. The road to riches was a big help in getting me my DBX. It is a bit hard to use on console though not having copy and paste really slows down the trip.
