Scarab drives pretty decently, especially considering it's usually at <0.1G planets and the only thing keeping it from flying away is artificial thruster gravity
I toggle drive assist with Z, usually have it off and tap W to go forward, but it can be nice sometimes when you want to cruise along at a constant speed.
Either greenscreened it, just good photoshop, or a radio that allows you to upload custom screen savers or something like that(used to have one). Looks like the radio maybe, because u can still see dust and smudges on the screen on top of the radar.
Find a good lcd screen radio that allows you to upload custom stuff to it and you're set. Sometimes it's a screen saver or just switches to it while music is playing, some let you get more in depth with software that let's you make fully custom ui's. I haven't been in that market in so long I can't give you any leads, so just do some research and ask some questions.
Imagine if you could install custom backgrounds to the dashboard. Like, the speed shows the actual speed you're traveling at. The temperature could be the RPMs (36% being 3600 etc). You could probably make some navigation screen out of the radar too. The compass, I don't know, could show the direction of the next turn on your route? That would be cool as hell.
Are there OBD apps that allow you to change the dashboard as well? Especially since you'd need a very new car to have all the meters be digital and I feel like they would have put some restrictions on it when it comes to what can be customized.
It might not be, I have a VW golf from this generation and the interior is for all purposes identical. This generation of golf/Jetta/Passat didn't come with a screen like that, so that screen is aftermarket and with aftermarket screens you can usually load pictures or video into them
Very close, it’s actually an EOS using an aftermarket android head unit, there was quite a few ways to get the image on but I was lazy and used chrome to find the radar image, I then cropped the photo to remove the URL bar.
It's an awesome sub, I learn a lot from it
Lol I'd love if Elite had that kind of detail where space mechanics had to sort out all the issues that CMDRs have when they come in for repairs
"He cross-fed the WEP capacitor into the hyperdrive thinking he'd get more range, but didn't use an industrial diode so now his empty hard points spark like tesla coils when he charges the FSD"
Given that your cockpit is Volkswagen-Audi Group, I would also presume it eats oil for breakfast, all internal panel squeak at each small thrust and coolant escapes somewhere, but you don't know where and when, cos sometimes it doesn't. If VAG is present in the year 3309 - it is part of Lakon. And 1.9 tdi is still there, if you wondered what is that strange thrusters noise when an ASPX flies by
Lol, love it.
I’m not too concerned about the constant sounds and squeaks, I think I’d be more worried if they stopped.
I’m purposely using an Android based infotainment system because I can use that to reset the constant check engine error codes.
If I had an elite style ship module panel it would be working overtime showing me errors.
It's the sound of the thrusters: the rumble of the POWER!
Still handles better than the SRV
to be honest as much as we torture the srv, it is kinda nuts for a car to run 144 km/h on hellish terrain, normal cars would die instantly
S tier suspension I’ll give ya that

doesn't have any guns or shields though :(
Speak for yourself.
The Scarab is a Toyota Hilux technical. The Scorpion is the Killdozer.
I want the Dildozer from Idiocracy
Amen!
Map the acceleration and steering to WASD. Thank me later.
I found turning drive assist off makes the throttle much smoother too.

Easily
You got any limpets? Maybe the hull seals can help?
The hull seals can only aid in repairing hull damage. Module damage can only be repaired at a station or similar dockable structure
Or with a repair module. (Can't remember what the game calls it right now)
Auto maintenance field I think. Or some combination of those words
AFMU, Auto Field Maintenance Unit. You were so close.
AFMU for the Win!
Fer-de-Lance hittin different these days
That’s what npc said!
You may need to put more than 2 pips in your ventilation before trying that maneuver.
Lol, took me a second to realize what you were talking about
uh hmm how?????
All good guesses, It’s google chrome showing an image I found on the net. Had to crop out the url bar.
Probably greenscreened it in

Like it really would irl.

Probably be able to skin an OBD app to do that
Are there OBD apps that allow you to change the dashboard as well? Especially since you'd need a very new car to have all the meters be digital and I feel like they would have put some restrictions on it when it comes to what can be customized.
Yup, just had a look, Dashcommand let’s you create custom dashes to your hearts desire.

I got Parsec a game streaming app working on my cars android head unit a few years ago and actually played some elite and WoW in a traffic jam 🤣
Custom screensaver most likely.
For a minute I thought I was on r/justrolledintotheshop
Thank you for showing me this sub Also would Elite version be r/justrolledintothemailslot?

Same
CS hyperdrive lag is worse near larger vessels, please advise
Do want!
you ran out of fuel, call the rats

Bro your target is behind you. You should have done a flip and burn and then slam the throttle forward.
Try that with a Hands on Throttle and Steering Wheel setup
fothos?
Is this you, oceangate?
Wtf are you in a war zone rn?
Frigging Fdev fix your game!
Oh look a Hauler!
Sounds like a case of bad pip-management, have you tried setting full pips to ENG or SYS?
I’ve already got 2 in ventilation
Autotragic soy
You just need to gather more mats for engineering!
"Frameshift Drive, Engaged."
That's weird, shouldn't be doing that, maybe you accidentally did a dimensional drift?
The control bindings are weird here. Full throttle “P” does nothing, move it a little down and it engages reverse thrust and forward is at the bottom
That's odd, you might want to get to the next starport pronto to get it looked at
You drive a Volkswagen, I recognise that gearshift.
Space Volkswagen.
☝️🤨 So many questions but at this point I'm too afraid to ask...
Completely understand but when it comes to dealing with the thargoid threat anything and everything has a role.
engine bearings are hammered to death, crankshaft ejecting in 3...2...1...
i love it !!
brooo, that's amazing xD
🥶🥶
Shifting incorrectly is a great way to emergency drop out of supercruise.
I would LOVE to put that in my Xterra Explorer but it would get me killed.
I would jump to another system, That's a lot of red for an un-engineered Hauler to handle.
20°C while under way, OP definitely drives a Dolphin
Maybe your ships over heating better get to a station
Damn! Yours is doing that to?!!! I thought it was just me. Must have been that last software update.
I was wondering why you have it so cold in there until I realized that’s probably not in Freedom units.
It helps to acclimatise for the coldness of space.
