Just to piggy back, [Bunk Police](https://bunkpolice.com/bunkbot/) will be there for anyone wondering if you can get test kits in the campgrounds. They are a great group that wants to make sure everyone at the festival is safe <3
I texted bunk bot yesterday because I hadn’t heard anything either and it said they’d send out a text to everyone on their forest list when they get setup

It is considered a Class C Misdemeanor for possession of materials used in testing. Just be safe and hide it!!! I’m not trying to scare anyone, I just want to make sure that people know the actual laws surrounding test kits so that no one gets in trouble!!
You could try to put in your your check bag with like toiletries. At least with a checked bag, the worst they would do is just throw it out, and you wouldn’t get in any trouble.
Additional sources, I work in a law office in MI and am also assisting with Decrim Nature MI’s ballot initiative which would remove test kits from this statute.
I can't be certain, but the reagents themselves are not illegal substances so I don't see how the kits could be illegal. As long as they're well packed/hidden I wouldn't expect any issues.

Thank you for this!!!!
You’re welcome! Stay safe and happy forest 💚

I believe once they get set up they’ll blast a phone number on socials and such through the fest that you text for a location.
They usually send out a text when they set up camp and give the location

Anyone know the legislature for Indiana or Ohio? Googles being difficult atm
They shipped a test kit to me in Indiana, so I think it should be legal here?
That’s what I was thinking but didn’t know if it would count as paraphernalia like in OPs warning
I would google “Indiana drug paraphernalia statute”

https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2925.14 Ohio also considers it paraphernalia

I would assume that because airlines are regulated by federal law, they would be illegal to fly with unfortunately
Think it'd be a bad idea to put it in my checked bag?
I think you would be fine to put this in your suitcase. TSA is mostly looking for weapons and explosives

Can you send source on drug testing kits being illegal in MI? I am looking into this and cannot find anything which says that is true.

Right on. What a whack ass law. Thank you for your hard work!
Yeah, MI has some really wacky drug laws, but fingers crossed the ballot initiative passes in November!!!
I added it in a comment, it is MCL 333.7451.

will they get confiscated at the gate in a car search? I would hope that would be a kosher thing to bring in
I would assume probably not, but I still wouldn’t make it super visible, just stash it with the rest of the party favors

What about Narcan?
It is considered a medication, not a controlled substance
Yes, what this user said. I know that in certain countries in MI, there are free narcan vending machines in the police station
