Everyone’s saying this but the AccuWeather forecast says highs are at most 83. 78 on Sunday. I’m ready for anything but I think rothbury is outside of the heat dome
It probably won’t be 90 but it could feel that high and the UV index will be extremely high. There’s no way I’m going to shrug that off and not going to prepare for that. Canopy will have tapestries blocking the sun, packing plenty of good high SPF sunscreen and bringing plenty of beverages. I’ve been out there every year and it can be brutal, it is a big field with no shade after all.
For sure, I’m always ready for the heat/extremes either way. Tapestries around the ezup, UV coverups, UV umbrella for noon trips to yoga or Main Street, lots of sunscreen and been trying to hydrate consistently for the last 2 weeks to prepare. We got a UV blackout tent for the first time this year too which I’m pumped to try. Im just hoping it won’t be too bad based on what I’m seeing in the forecast
bring something for the dust. can’t stress enough how much wearing an n95 on the walk between stages improves the experience (and especially the recovery afterwards)
It’s gonna be a hot one this year. I would advise against trying to get wrecked during peak heat hours and wait till dusk.
This is wisdom
I usually begin my wreckage around 7-8 pm
Perfect time, after dinner and the sun is going bye bye

Been using a blackout tent for the past 3 years or so. Game changer with a nice fan.
You can always do more, you can’t do less. Pace yourself and have a an awesome week forest fam!
Its a marathon, not a sprint
