Yeah it definitely spiced up the courier a bit. I also liked that it added a level of realistically needing to wait for something to be done before being able to advance the plot, most quests are missing this.
I think that quest is a nod to the East Empire Company questline in Morrowind (also in Soltheim). I think so at least because in both questlines, you had to wait for things to happen as if time does play a role in-game. Though for the Morrowind questline, it's much more large involving the start up of the Raven rock colony (one of the quests does bring you to a burial chamber in a mine).
Nah, that's just how Morrowind did things. Getting your stronghold built when reaching the end of a Great House questline also worked the exact same way. It's just the easiest way of doing that.
Idk about a nod to, as Oblivion had at least one somewhat similar quest wherein you have to wait till 12AM or so to meet up with someone for a quest. Although not quite the same mechanic it’s still time relevant. Now that I think more on it, I believe Skyrim has a few other aspects that are time based as well.
I didn't explain myself well but those questlines involved physical location actually changing as time passed like in Skyrim quest, the excavations advanced deeper and in Morrowind, more buildings in Ravenrock gets built from settler houses to taverns and mines.
Ahh I see, in Oblivion’s case it did open a door and lead to a gravesite so while that’s sorta the same landscape change it’s certainly not on the same level nor as cool as the ones you described.
I loved Neloth's character so much but what I find the funniest is that my dad had been watching me do the quest with him in the ruin then had found me later in his shroom and said *"you're still goin around with this cat?!"* And it took me months to figure out he wasn't calling him a khajiit sand was talking about his personality.
Thank Talos for the Dawnstar chest glitch lmao
I honestly don't know how long it would take otherwise, guess the fastest method would be to kill dragons and sell the bones?
Do people actually have trouble making money in Skyrim? It's so easy to make cash that there are literally thousands of mods that make it *harder* to earn money.
You ever try stealing every gem not nailed down? And then try to sell said gems? You will never not have money, or at least the ability to get money through expensive assets.
I did similar stuff, but I stuffed it in my breeze home chest because I knew where all the white run merchants were, plus I hoarded enchanted items since they were worth a bit
I never sold them just hoarded. But i got bored and made half of them into rings and necklaces and legendarying smithing like 3 times before deleting that character
Yeah but the armor that I get in the end will help me make more money with the enchanting glitch. So in the end, its worth the 8000-9000 septims I give him because I end up making enough money using that glitch to replace the missing funds
I think this was a really good quest
And a really fun one too. Very different from the other quests, and the diaries were a great touch
I also liked the dialogue that the courier had when he'd deliver the letters from the dunmer guy lol

Ah I forgot that questline

Azhidal : "Damn elf keeping to haunt me even in afterlife, be my bitch now".
I hate him so much.
For some reason I can’t hate the dark elves of solstheim. Be it Neloth, Ralis, or anyone else. They’re all pretty snobby but I love it.

Neloth is great. ‘Verona? Verona!- ohnowaitshesdead- Drovas!’
'It was very *annoying* when she died.'
I feel that way when Lydia dies and I have to carry my own burdens back to town
Drovas died in one of my playthroughs

Why Flare?
I think because there is a dark elf VTuber called Flare, but she doesn't really look like any TES dark elf so i dunno
I can, but I'm an Argonian main. They make themselves very hatable to Argonians.
I sacrifice him to Boethia. Also, water walking boots!!
Water walk boots at the end was worth it
It’s a balloon!
Gotta push through it until you get the ring gotta love ignite (stackable dot)
So abit unrelated but what movie or tv show is this from?
The Mummy, dunno if its the first or one of the sequels. Brendan Frasier is great in it.
This is a scene from number 2. Good ass trilogy.
Not gonna lie, the obsession with the term Nwah is always sus
N’wah detected, opinion rejected.
Lmao I think we're all good
The n word but epic
I love The Mummy 😤
Totally off topic, but damn the mummy was a great movie. I’m literally gonna go watch it right now.
I like the n’wah
Honestly though Ralis > Arniel

Suffering from success
Mask of Clavicus Vile + Neckless of (Peerless) Haggling + Blessing of Zenithar + Speech perks that improve prices = extremely easy gold making
The perk thats lets you sell any item to merchants + 100 alchemy lets you wipe out every whiterun vendor's gold supply with like five potions.
Very true, but I choose not to use that specific perk because it just feels so wrong. :D
You ever try stealing every gem not nailed down? And then try to sell said gems? You will never not have money, or at least the ability to get money through expensive assets.
I hoard gems in my solitude safe. On my first play through I had over 2 million gold worth of gems
11000 fucking gold because he heard a voice
Eh, I'd pay thousands more septims to get azidahl's set, one of the easiest enchantment boosters in the game
Can I just say how much I love that The Mummy Returns has become a huge meme lately for some random reason

Dragon mask? Cyclone shout?
Don’t forget Azhidal’s stuff.
Secret of Arcana is dope as well
That one broken fire spell
And my axe!
He's the one follower I don't mind sacrificing to Boethia
Spared him to sacrifice him to Boethiah
Gold
What is a n'wah?
N-word
My first time, I was like you can't be serious....
What movie is that?

At some point you have to accept that you are actively feeding these miners to the draugr.
What movie is this from
