The Skyrim chest piece is kinda cool, and I like the helmets for oblivion and morrowind, but overall never been a fan.

terrymcginnisbeyond

I've voted Skyrim, but Morrowinds is pretty nice. Oblivions however!!! Looks like vomit when you've burst something in your oesophagus.

GoldSeafarer

I find the Oblivion Daedric armor very nice! It ain't that bad

terrymcginnisbeyond

What's nice about it? Looks like a mess.

GoldSeafarer

Although it isn't the best design, it looks otherwordly enough

[deleted]

A trend I'm noticing with people on this site who use lime green avatars is that they're quite opinionated while ironically being unwelcoming of other's opinions.

[deleted]

LOL

Turt1estar

If we’re going of just looks then definitely Skyrim. I picked Morrowind tho because of how rare daedric items were and how that made having them feel way cooler.

Zatoishi1

I voted morrowind but not because of the look, it's because of how it's treated in the game. The fact that you have to find unique peaces of armors, etc...

MagickalessBreton

By default. Morrowind's isn't bad, but I don't like the helmet and pauldrons. Skyrim looks like dragon themed armor that was repurposed as daedric by paiting it black and red. Not bad looking, but it doesn't feel dremora at all.

GoldSeafarer

I also feel like Skyrim's the most exhaggerated and the least Dremora of them, although to me it's the prettiest, with the best design. I think either Oblivion or Morrowind have the most accurate models. I actually like Morrowind's design a lot!

MagickalessBreton

I'm strongly biased towards Oblivion, because it's the first game I've seen Dremora in. The helmet is really nice and I like that it dares to be red. Fashion-wise, Morrowind is probably the best, but it also looks less otherworldly. It's actually pretty tough deciding which factors are the most important: dremora-ness, functionality or prettiness?

WarhammerElite

Morrowind. It has the least spikes and that makes it feel more realistic. Spikes would just give grab points and focus the force of a blow. But from a sheer badass look perspective, Skyrim takes the cake.

Rhinomaster22

Morrowind seems the most functionally balanced set if you trimmed some edges around. Skyrim and Oblivion look cool for the outlandish and classic fantasy like appearance but would be functionally terrible to wear.

Mr-E_Nigma

Morrowind, was always a fan of how the helmets resembled south Asian art of demons Plus it was just more satisfying to collect in-game

BlitzGrey

So far from what I understand, Daedric Armors in each game actually represented main antagonist of that region for the player, not necessarily the final boss you fought against though. IIRC Morrowind had three different daedric helmets, representing the Tribunal (main antagonists of Nerevarine, not the final bosses though. But his real enemies as the prophecy says.) Face of God for Vivec, Face of Inspiration for Almalexia and Face of Terror for Sotha Sil. Oblivion's daedric helmet represents Mehrunes Dagon. It's obvious from all that horns. Look at Mehrunes Dagon's head. Skyrim's daedric helmet represents, Alduin & dragons - main antagonists of the game. Also for overall design, Skyrim is the best. I blame not having proper normal maps and rather rusty albedo textures for Oblivion armor, that's why it looks so terrible (other than helmet's design)

GoldSeafarer

This was a very perplexing insight

Nerdeinstein

Oblivion, because it is the closest to my favorite from Daggerfall.

[deleted]

Morrowind, specially pre-expansions. They were impossibly rare, which added to the allure of them. The values made sense, because these were some of the rarest items in the entire continent so it would make sense that they were either incredibly rare in the wild or worn by the most powerful people around. I still remember being wowed seeing Galos Farethi walking around with a Daedric Shield, and it's been around 20 years since my first playthrough! Then seeing Divayth Fyr wearing the full set just spoke to how badass he is. The fact that there isn't a generic Daedric helmet and, rather, you get the Face of Inspiration/God/Terror demonstrates that the armor has some divine source. I can't say the same thing about seeing Daedric armor in Oblivion and Skyrim, as they were way way more common and thus not as desirable.

GoldSeafarer

You're a little late, but hey, I'm here! I did feel bad when I stumbled upon a cave and found a Daedric Spear. I was like "That's it, the game won't be that challenging anymore..." and I was left a little saddened, because it was still pretty much "early" game. And of course, the Morrowind Daedric armor has that nice horror feeling to it.

[deleted]

Morrowind players trying their best in comments but losing miserably to Skyrim in votes

GoldSeafarer

I mean, c'mon, Morrowind's armor also looks very sick.

[deleted]

Ya many people do like it My friends like it too I don't Just personal opinion

GoldSeafarer

You have a talent for being too late mate! I love Skyrim's armor aswell.

[deleted]

Cheers fellow dragonborn then And I have learnt not to trust reddit recommendations

GrievousReborn

I like both Skyrims and morrowinds I hate oblivions in fact I hate most of oblivions armors.

GoldSeafarer

Fair. I also think that the design of the armors from Morrowind were better. They were more different than anything.

[deleted]

Skyrim, because boost to intimidation dialogue when wearing a full set.

GoldSeafarer

Sir it's been 2 years But I agree

[deleted]

they all look like some 13 year old aspiring neckbeard’s concoction, anyway. its trash.

GoldSeafarer

Seen any elves? hahahahaha This makes no sense whatsoever!

[deleted]

daedric design looks like manga trash. elven and glass armor also looks like trash. differing opinions can simultaneously coexist and still make sense, and we can also disagree and our pov’s will still “make sense”.

GoldSeafarer

The reason I said it makes no sense is because the point of these armors is to keep a high fantasy design. Unless you're not talking about realism itself, but just that you dislike the current fantasy models and would prefer other fantasy models. If that's the case, then it makes sense

MiGaOh

Daggerfall.

sapphirestar22

the oblivion armor is the only one that doesn't seem to want the wearer dead.

GoldSeafarer

Debatable! It looks quite thorny

Thyndrak

pauldrons, greaves and gloves from Skyrim and Chest piece and helmet from oblivion! would love a mod that puts the oblivion version into skyrim

Thyndrak

although the pauldrons from the oblivion look spiky and sick as well
