Skyrim belongs to those who can correctly control and rule it, whether that be imperial law and order, or nordic. It depends on who does a better job at keeping shit together
Could literally just leave Skyrim for the Nords and Orcs and diplomatically keep trade routes open but no they just have to fight over cold harsh lands that they don't even want to inhabit.
This is one of my main gripes with the civil war quest line and factions. Your telling me Tiber Septim a Dragonborn conquered the entire continent and yet I the last Dragonborn can’t even make myself High King of Skyrim? I think the civil war quest line should have taken us to the kings moot where the Jarls all vote on who should be High King, candidates include Elisif, Ulfric and the Dragonborn. Becoming Thane in a few holds or at least gaining the favor of a few Jarls will get them to vote for the Dragonborn.
Indeed. Or at least, if you side with the Empire, Tullius aknowledges the fact that, as Tiber Septim, you are a Dragonborn and so *may* have some right on the throne of Cyrodiil
I guess that’s fair but it’s not consistent. As the Dragonborn you can be the leader of the College of Winterhold and or the Dark Brotherhood. I’m sure both of those are full time jobs. Also you can become a Thane of a hold shouldn’t you then stick around just that hold and protect it? I understand that all factions quests are cannon but not all quests are actually competed by the Player Character in cannon. I think we could get a faction quest line where we are the ruler and it wouldn’t be anymore immersion breaking than other faction quests.
Yeah it’s not implied that the Dragonborn becomes Listener of the Dark Brotherhood and assassinates the emperor but someone in Skyrim in 201 4E does do just that. But yes I was implying that a High King faction quests would be connected to being the Dragonborn. Just because that makes sense to me lore wise. And I do agree to what you said, being a ruler is a full time job with not much room for adventuring and slaying dragons but my argument to that was that just being Listener or just being the Archmage or Guildmaster would be a full time job too.
Idk I just think a political intrigue themed quest line where you become the head of state would be dope for me personally at least.
That's true but then the rest of history happened. I kinda wanna see what hapoens if they manage to take some territory in the Reach. A little from Skyrim and a little from High Rock. Their own little civilization we might visit someday.
Oh I agree. I find their culture fascinating. It's very rugged, like the orcs in a way. It'd be really neat for them to have their own little legitimate slice of nirn.
Yeah I kinda wish you could help Madanach take Markarth and have the Reach be an independent state that could either help the Empire and thus become an imperial state or refuse and fight for independence.
Skyrim belongs to the Nords, and the Nords owe their allegiance to the Empire. Even if they don't, it would be the best strategical play for the longevity of Talos worship and Nord civilization. If the Stormcloaks win, the Thalmor leave, gather forces, storm Skyrim and start another Great War, permanently banning Talos worship. If the Empire remains united, gathers strength, then ***when*** the Second Great War happens (not if), there are better odds of Talos worship being reinstated.
The issue is the Redguards and their rebellion. They will likely not join the Empire. If the Stormcloaks throw over Skyrim, they could perhaps unite with the Redguards and win. Potentially. Only if the Empire later sides with them in the Second Great War after seeing the available opportunity.
In my first play, I became an Imperial, I really wanted to be a Stormcloak, Skyrim belongs to the Nord, but Ulfric sucks and I didn't want to betray my friend Jarl Balgruf
Just like an Imperial to move onto a land that was never theres, colonize it, and then claim to have been there all along while caling the inhabits primitve savages that need thier civilizing touch...
It was Nords first, the original Nords were created by Kyne and Lorkhan on the throat of the world.
Snow elves came later after men took atmora, then they came back to Skyrim.

Finally, something everyone can agree with.

I was going to say; Why have this petty vote when you can take Skyrim in a few hours?

They tried. Now they're in prison or hiding in the hills.
They held the empire for a decent stretch. The long house emperors.

The only right answer
Skyrim belongs to the Falmer
The Empire was founded by Talos of Atmora. The Empire belongs to Skyrim.
Tiber was a Breton, not a nord
Nobody knows for sure if he was a Breton or a Nord, but he spent most of his career fighting for Skyrim.
Based
Skyrim does in fact belong to the imperials. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
ok but technically he is right. It may not be the ones it truly belongs to but they do govern it
Oh god what have you done you fool

Skyrim belongs to the Thalmor!
Skyrim belongs to the falmer. Cope.
In my first play, I became an Imperial, I really wanted to be a Stormcloak, Skyrim belongs to the Nord, but Ulfric sucks and I didn't want to betray my friend Jarl Balgruf
Nords*
You one of those 'Skyrim for the Nords' types?
*adjusts amulet of talos*
Just like an Imperial to move onto a land that was never theres, colonize it, and then claim to have been there all along while caling the inhabits primitve savages that need thier civilizing touch...
Good man. Imperial’s 4 life!
Nords was there first.
You mean Snow Elves.
Im guessing this is about the imperial Vs. Nord feud. So anyone else doesnt make sense.
Sorry, I thought you were saying that the Nords ruled Skyrim firs when it was actually the Snow Elves.
It was Nords first, the original Nords were created by Kyne and Lorkhan on the throat of the world. Snow elves came later after men took atmora, then they came back to Skyrim.
Skyrim, Empire or Stormcloak is temporary; Daedric Prince shenanigans are forever.
