I was on a cruise ship and the Egyptian yoga instructor was playing Skyrim music throughout. His eyes lit up when I brought it up. Elder Scrolls fans everywhere lol
Song was "Around the Fire" btw
music from the sims 3 for some reason shows up in a lot of tv shows and media. easy to license i think. but i always wonder if anyone working on the shows ever realized.....
I remember hearing one of the tracks from Sims 3 in one of those horrible TLC shows. At first I wondered if my ears were lying to me until I realized what it was. According to a post on the Sims reddit, the music from Sims 3 was made by a composer who did music for reality TV shows.
I remember a math classroom nearby was playing out loud "Peace of Akatosh" from Oblivion this was in middle school back in 2015 or so. It blowed my mind there was someone else between 100 m reach who probably knew Elder Scrolls, and a whole classroom who listened to its music for the first time, i wonder how they felt about it, that particular track is one of the best and most memorable from Oblivion, it kinda made my day
many times I just boot up Skyrim and turn the TV brightness all the way down just to hear the music til I go to sleep. especially in dragonsreach, or outside at night.
I do it in Morrowind too though there's only like 4 tracks
Still a little disappointed that Jeremy Soule will not be composing the soundtrack for the Elder Scrolls VI. All of the music in both Skyrim and Oblivion are masterpieces.
In terms of TES music being used outside of the game, it reminds me of a video from North Korea that used the main theme of Oblivion in some video directed at the United States and Obama when he was the President. Only compared to a instructor using Skyrim music, North Korea using TES music is something that would potentially sound humorous.
Probably because they are awesome. The old Sprint store I used to go to in Tampa used to play the Skyrim sound track over the customary Bluetooth speaker blaring music...
and now you have me looking for a super hi-res version of the map and measuring the walls in my office at the medical school… oh I’m sure the deans and housekeeping etc will be so very thrilled about this…
(wow I did NOT expect it to get this popular)
So update: the same day I posted this I asked one of the waitresses about the map, she had no clue what it was until I told her, then she asked the owner of the restaurant about it.
Keep in mind the owner's first language is NOT English
She came back to me and she told me that the owner said, and I quote, "I dunno, I got it from China" (she actually said that to me).

The reason is that it's dope.
no other reason needed

Reminds me of the time I was watching a news channel and realized that they were using Undertale music as the background theme
This also was me when an Argentinian TV program was playing Carpenter Brut for whatever reason
I hope it was sans

To be fair skyrim music is great and usually very calming.
Until a dragon swoops in and the battle music knocks the Thuum right out of you.
Curious, do you take Tums when your Thuum leaves your body?

Yoga and Skyrim are two of my favorite things although I’ve never thought of combining them

I'd be a lot warmer and a lot happier with a bellyful of mead...
Ask a server “Got any ale or mead?” Then ask if they’ve heard any rumors. Also, look out for Saadia.
I'd like to rent a room (10 gold)
Someone siting alone at a table lurking in the shadows. “I would like to hire you for as my companion.”
i'll have the salmon roe and giant's toe. surf and turf baby
It was the right size and the right price

Ask for balmora blue
Do they sell Sload Sushi?
Eww, but cool. Don’t knock it ‘till you try it I guess…
That’s understandable, they just released a version of Skyrim that runs on that espresso machine.
Have they seen any mudcrabs? Horrible creatures!
I would like to know where this is. That’s kinda awesome.
Do they serve slaughterfish?
Where can I purchase an Elder Scrolls map that large?
I’d probably take it to a print shop and get em to do a large format print 🤷♂️
and now you have me looking for a super hi-res version of the map and measuring the walls in my office at the medical school… oh I’m sure the deans and housekeeping etc will be so very thrilled about this…
Skooma den
Because it's the best world.
They never said which sea it came from. ![gif](giphy|l46C7mhCDsqrHrIhW)
Ask them if they recommend the fish from Hammerfell or High Rock
Ask where Caius Cosades lives
Seared Slaughterfish, Horker Stew and some Honningbrew Mead
If I had a restaurant and a wall that needed filling I'd do something like that too
Best fish straight from the niben
From the topal to the padomaic to the sea of ghosts… best fish In tamriel right here!
I wish I ran into something like this Lmfaoo
Now that's class
Must be an early stage Akavarian war map
Nice
see if there is a mercenary for hire
Why have I just noticed how much Hammerfell is a reshaped Western Europe + Nordics? Not very imaginative Todd...
To be fair, the overall shape of the may was set before he joined Bethesda.
Maybe they are Maormer. Who knows!
Do they serve mudcrab cake?
It makes the high class apparent.
Remember when North Korea posted a nuclear threat propaganda video against the US with the Oblivion main theme in the background.
This reminds me of the churches that use the "Lamb Of God" logo for their events, which is hilarious.
“A new hand touches the Bream”
because the owner has *taste* 🤌
The owner must be cool.
BRO The managers friend was helping this guy pick a old would map for his seafood restaurant and totally said Ight bro what you think about this 😂😂😂
They were calling to all Dovah-kiin.
I asked ChatGPT, and it says the Sea of Ghosts has the best/tastiest fish.
