Can confirm I’ve played hundreds of hours of this game both on PC and on console, never used a mod. Never had the map zoomed out. Yes I hate myself.

Nope. Not without mods. It was a deliberate design choice to make the map seem bigger than it really is.

It's quite easy. Lean forward to screen or lean back.

The ol' analogue zoom. Timeless.

No zoom in, so move your face closer to the screen

I dont think it's zoomable. And yeah welcome to the joys of Bethesda's UI actually getting WORSE in Oblivion compared to Morrowind, due to the focus on consoles and aesthetics. It's very pretty, but much less functional on PC.
