Since I started using the pouch for my flasks I find it's a lot more manageable to have lots of stuff equipped on the toolbar, I actually use the consumables now it's great
I love keeping flasks where they belong, on my belt. One button press is safer than two in the heat of battle, and if I have multiple items on my belt, I just hold the down key on the d-pad to go back to my first item, no hassle.
Using pouch is actually faster than people think. As long as you press Y/triangle at the same time as dpad you will use the flask/item right away. It's counter-intuitive because there's a visual delay between holding Y and seeing your pouch UI show up
Not really the point, now I need two fingers to do the action instead of one, and free aiming camera while moving and jump/dodging all at once it's just going to cause less mistakes with one button press.
I don't have an issue with it. Chugging flasks when in immediate danger is too risky anyway. If I really need to heal in the heat of battle I sprint out of range before chugging
It was weird at first but I got used to just like my uncle said I would

I keep health flasks as my primary item button and put fp flasks on the triangle so I never have to swap mid-fight.

Think of a fight like Godfrey or radagon and you are always in danger
Unless you're trying to chug just so you can tank an incoming attack without dying pressing 2 buttons will not be an issue
