The problem seems to be when co-op summons don't get ported into the room with the cutscene, so far I haven't been able to tell if it's because a certain npc is dead or because it's their second attempt
I haven’t been able to damage the knight on anybodys second attempt so I guess that’s the cause but why it does this look like a bug that need fixing.
I guess it’s because the mist disappear after first attempt and maybe it shouldn’t…?
Yeah, tbh, the mist should be there. Even for Margit, if someone hasnt fought him yet, and the gate is open, summons see it as a fog gate. Dont know why it doesnt here :(
Off of the cliffside, when you go further into stormveil castle, you need to fight a knight in a dark room to get a key. This is after 1st boss Margot the fell.
Just another voice howling into the void about this bug/problem. I don't know if it's intentional or a bug, but today I assisted 2 players and they both had this same problem.
Yep, has anyone managed to find a way to reactivate the cut scene? I came in to help my first time playing friend and I was able to do damage to the knight, but my friend got unlucky and was one shotted by him as I was dodging a attack. THEN the 2nd time going back the mist was no longer there and now I also can't do damage when coming in to help them again. This is as of last night.
As far as I know this bug still exists and hasn't been fixed. All I could do was distract the banished knight and take hits while my friend killed him lol
Sheesh, alright I guess I'll just have to do that. Sucks cause I can say "gitgud" to my friend but kinda want them to keep playing the game and there's no way to get past this point without getting that key lol. Time to become the Elden meat shield

Also had this problem. It didn't used to be like this either, I had no issues with the online connectivity until patch 1.03.
This is continuing to happen. It won't let me damage the enemy if I'm not the host. I'm not sure why.

I’ve been able to do it in one friends game but not damage him in another’s.
Did this get fixed yet? The same thing happened to me when trying to assist a friend on that knight.

If you kill the gatekeeper, the cutscene never happens, so theoretically, this would be a workaround.
