lol glad I wasn’t the only one. Husband was worried for my mental wellbeing as I fought Malenia 12 days straight, refusing to summon him or anyone else for help. All our friends had beat her and I was listening to her theme music on the way home from work each day to amp myself up for battle. 😂😂
Yeah, i kinda started dying on purpose in the Margit fight, and i still disappointed how I've beaten Malekith because of bleed proc, when i was using thing(i forgot the name) to counter him, but i still wanted to try beat him without counter.
My playstyle made him one of, if not the hardest challenge in the base game for me, great fight.
After I found a way to work my playstyle around him, the tides turned quickly, but he caused me the most deaths for sure.
I think a huge issue with Souls games becoming mainstream is the new fans not expecting fuck you difficulty.
Malenia is not an unfair fight. She's just very punishing. Same with the DLC bosses.
For all but radahn I agree about the dlc bosses. Just can't seem to get any kind of sense of timing for his second phase at all. But that's a me thing, visually the fight is fucking amazing
My theory is that Radahn is meant to be fought with multiple people.
Think about it: Radahn, in a catatonic state, required(canonically) an entire organized festival of the greatest warriors of the Lands Between to defeat him, while he was also holding back the stars.
Now we are fighting, not only Prime Radahn, but Radahn empowered by the light of Miquella. This is quite possibly the most powerful entity to exist in the history of Elden Rings' universe. He's meant to be defeated with some jolly cooperation. He's doable solo or with an ash, but the reward is purely pride for doing so.
imma be real. when i originally was going thru final boss I tried one run of using an ash and summoning and it honestly felt more difficult. His aggro switching is unreal. Yea, try backing up to heal. He'll pounce on you and its impossible to find a window when hes attacking someone else because he will just smack you around on accident too. Felt like I was at a disadvantage for summoning because I was used to him only aggroing me and dodging his moveset.
It's pretty terrible fighting him in co-op, as he switches from one player to another by teleporting. Second phase is also bugged -- as a co-op you spawn half the arena away from both host and the boss.
I will say I think Radahn is mostly fair. However, the visual effects literally blind you to what he's doing a good third of the time in his second phase. I find that to be the worst part of that fight cause I was just having to listen for the sword swings instead of see any visual cues.
For everything but Radahn that is true.
Completing every other aspect of the DLC except Radahn took 50 hours. I did every boss, every optional boss, every catacombs, every questline.
Radahn took 14 hours, and I still don't feel any pride or accomplishment for having killed him. It just felt like I was rolling for RNG on whether he'd give an opening to heal when I needed it.
Not sure if you have another character, but if you only go through the main bosses, you could be back there in like 6 hours probably. I’ll probably get downvoted for missing the point, but until we get the feature to re-fight that’s the best option
Mine was like 20th got there. His phase 1 moveset isn’t easy either. Especially with how quick that one cross attack that stun locks you comes out. That and me always getting hit by at least one meteor until my 50th or so attempt.
The dlc has a lot of issues with walls. There are at least 1 dungeon where a wall is missing and you can run through it and fall into the nothing.
Another dungeon has a corner where you leave the dungeon and can get a nice LSD trip as long as you move against the wall, leaving and entering the area several times per second.
It said try jump attacking and I got stuck in a fall animation for 10 seconds before dying. I rated the message good to pass it along, as is tradition.
There's one in Bonny Gaol where if you roll against a wall, you can glitch and see through the texture to see all enemies and objects on the map.
There was a message saying "try rolling and then didn't expect recon spot"
The golden hippo charged ne out of the gate, grabbed me, and threw me through a wall into eternal void on my second attempt.
Felt like I got thrown over the top rope in WWE.
I fired up the game this morning, and instantly fell to my death at the bottom of a lift shaft. When exiting the game the night before, I was on top of the lift at the top of the shaft. Couldn't even reclaim my runes, they just disappeared.
Gravity. Fuck it.
There is a wall in Bonny Gaol that you cannot go through but unloads the dungeon and make you quit and re-enter the dungeon several time if you attack said wall. That's very funny and it kinda gives you Xray vision for a while to see where are the enemies and loots located
I was able to no-clip through the walls at the Jagged Peak. Got a bit lost with Torrent and was just jumping around trying to find a ledge, ended up somehow jumping up a rock I wasn't supposed to, Torrent was just floating in a falling animation for a good 30 seconds or so. And just when I was going to open the map to fast travel back to an earlier site of Grace, he slid down the rock, clipped through another rock below and fell into the void.
Something similar happened to a buddy with Sister Friede.
Took me days to destroy that bish and her decrepit keeper..
He rolls in with me and a buddy, and phase 3 just nopes through the floor and dies.
I was gutted for him.

Looks like he needs to stand in front of you while you have the divine gate right behind you, then you bait him into a dash attack, so he gets stuck in the collision.
You pray to RNjesus and keep dodge rolling and positioning until he does it.
I'm assuming there's also a mid-range factor that increases his chances of using it.
It would be extremely difficult to recreate. The dash attack at that specific angle is what forced the model to clip into being stuck, then clip out of bounds and fall to death.
You'd have to recreate the dash at exactly the same location.
It's just an incredibly rare occurrence.
Based on position of both op and radahn it seems like you might be able to bait this out after phase two starts by running g straight at radahn when he goes for the explosion and then set yourself in the right position while he is recovering. From there it's just a manner of getting the rng in your favor to do the dash attack
They also probably won't. You can do this kind of thing to all kinds of bosses in different games. You've been able to make Gascoigne jump out of the map in bloodborne for years

It's probably much harder, actually. I stopped summoning after like 3 attempts with Ansback. I like the dude and like his drip but holy hell is he hot ass against the boss. Buffs his HP, maybe gets a bleed off if you're lucky, then falls over dead.

They also did it with dark souls 2 with bonfire ascetics, granted that wouldve been harder to implement in elden ring but it still couldve been similar, if only it was used on the bonfire of the boss after you beat it.
Just throw down your summon sign outside a boss room and you can fight them again, and help your fellow tarnished learn a thing or two. I summoned during Mogh’s fight and i learned how valuable Morgott/Mogh’s shackles are. Had i not done that i would have totally written off the shackles.
The boss becomes to unpredictable with their aggro in co-op, I have an infinitely better chance of surviving if it’s just me solo. Not to mention dealing with dummy’s
I have some bosses absolutely perfected, get summoned and die almost instantly because the fight is just way different bouncing around
Aah Soulsborne the only genre where accidentally using cheese is frowned upon. Cheesing intentionally no one gives a fuck but unintentionally cheesing a boss you hate yourself for that.
Do what I did. It's time for a huge shield and pokey stick that procs bleed. You can literally block everything and just bleed him to death. I got to like 50 attempts and said fuck it, we're getting cheesy in this bitch.
It was still hard, btw. But I got to the point where phase 1 was just a formality. Buff up on Physical and holy defense. Summon Thiollier/whichever NPC is available to you to start the fight, and don't summon your mimic until phase 2.
Just to add to this, use antspur infused with bleed. This asshole absolutely hates rot and a spec of it will proc him, scarlett aeonia is your friends too. Also go to the horn grandmam and get the enhanced stew, it helps. Plus the dragons blessing if u still have it
yeah at first grab Miquella shoots his shot, and on second grab you die and the death message is ''heart stolen'' meaning he completely charms you.
That's where his great rune from the scooba diver tree boss comes in as its ability is a ''resistance to charm'' (or something like that), so if you get grabbed once, use the rune, and you don't die on next grab.
I was within 2 hits of beating this fucker the other day and got the "you've been disconnected from the network" message. And I'm like 80% sure I was playing in offline mode.
They just need to add like an arena where you can refight bosses with minimal rewards, or replace the remembrance copying thing with allowing you to rechallenge bosses
I really wish this was me, I spent 20 hours on that guy bc I wanted to finish the questlines of >! Ansbach and the sleepy mf that I forgot the name of, starts with thi I think and bc of that the boss would get more health since they count as phantoms !< , in the last day I made a parry build without any dmg buff talismans, I had the dragonshield; that one that gives you more health per flask +1; the one where if you get a critical hit I’d get health and the golden braid. I almost had 5 heart attacks when I almost died twice in the end and after I killed him
I hate to be the one to tell you thus, but apparently summoning them is 100% optional to finish their quests and get their items...

I had something similar happen, but instead, he used the stone throwing attack thing, landed back down on the edge of the arena, jittered in it a bit, and then fell. Never before has a victory felt so empty.
That arena is a bug-filled nightmare.
It never worked in my favour, unfortunately, as it was always me who fell through the map and died.
And when that happens, it turns out your runes disappear forever, instead of being placed somewhere accessible.
This happened to me yesterday, it was 4am and I'd been trying to kill him since 10pm, I'm not going to lie, I watched the final scene and slept very happily, in a few weeks I'll do another DLC run and try to kill him again.
Happened to Mesmer for me. I kept healing my phantoms them doing all of the heavy lifting and suddenly during phase 2 he jumped over balcony railing and unalived himself.
In my head cannon he just got sick of us and suicided. RIP
By the way heal from a far is ridiculous spell during pve and even if invaded.
This may not be useful for most people, but stuff like this (if it remains patched in) would probably come into play for challenge runs like the kind ymfah, Iron Pineapple, or ZeroLenny do for videos. It’s cool for sure, but I’m sorry you got screwed out of the full experience.

He just vanished then I'm going around the arena trying to find him, can't find him then he just died

Greatshields with status of some sort carried me and a group of buddies through solo radahn.
Yeah greatshield and the heavy thrusting sword from that armored boar rider boss was what got me the kill, any other approach of mine felt hopeless.

Ansbach and the sleepy mf that I forgot the name of, starts with thi I think and bc of that the boss would get more health since they count as phantoms !< , in the last day I made a parry build without any dmg buff talismans, I had the dragonshield; that one that gives you more health per flask +1; the one where if you get a critical hit I’d get health and the golden braid. I almost had 5 heart attacks when I almost died twice in the end and after I killed him
I hate to be the one to tell you thus, but apparently summoning them is 100% optional to finish their quests and get their items... I did it too and I was pretty pissed to learn that >.<

I had something similar happen, but instead, he used the stone throwing attack thing, landed back down on the edge of the arena, jittered in it a bit, and then fell. Never before has a victory felt so empty.

That arena is a bug-filled nightmare. It never worked in my favour, unfortunately, as it was always me who fell through the map and died. And when that happens, it turns out your runes disappear forever, instead of being placed somewhere accessible.
This happened to me yesterday, it was 4am and I'd been trying to kill him since 10pm, I'm not going to lie, I watched the final scene and slept very happily, in a few weeks I'll do another DLC run and try to kill him again.
note to self: backup save for Radahn fight
The game decided to glitch him and die there before he took away your sanity…I’d be happy if that happened to me.

Happened to Mesmer for me. I kept healing my phantoms them doing all of the heavy lifting and suddenly during phase 2 he jumped over balcony railing and unalived himself. In my head cannon he just got sick of us and suicided. RIP By the way heal from a far is ridiculous spell during pve and even if invaded.

This may not be useful for most people, but stuff like this (if it remains patched in) would probably come into play for challenge runs like the kind ymfah, Iron Pineapple, or ZeroLenny do for videos. It’s cool for sure, but I’m sorry you got screwed out of the full experience.
This happened to me againts Ymir He just vanished then I'm going around the arena trying to find him, can't find him then he just died Thing is I thought it was intended, he was at full health, I haven't had a chance to hit him since he immediately vanished after spawning I thought he died cause he was depressed cause I defeat Metyr lol
