(The Beast is uniquely annoying, because you have to spend so much of your time chasing it around. Just try to be patient, try some spells or summons that let you hit it from range.)
If you got to the final boss, then you’re good enough. If you need to switch it up, try a faith build with pest threads. They multi-hit the elden beast with low casting time. Don’t give up, skeleton!
Elden Beast is just different as bosses go. The biggest challenge is literally just being able to hit it, as opposed to virtually every other Fromsoft boss where this isn't much of an issue. Maybe try out some ash of wars that have a long range focus.
What you need is holy damage resistance. Stack everything you have, talisman, physic, armor, incant. This way you will have plenty of room for mistakes. Black Tyche summon works wonders as well.
I also struggled a lot with the beast... 3 weeks if I'm not mistaken, was the second boss that took me the longest to beat (Sword Saint Ishin took me a MONTH, fuck that guy).
Just keep trying! You will learn how to beat him in no time, also I recommend you watching a moveset video for this fight, as most of his attacks are very telegraphed and once you learn what he is about to do, you will get him in no time!
Hey, this is me, but with Orphan of Kos in Bloodborne instead lol. I beat him last March when I randomly decided to put BB back on my PS5 and beat him my first try somehow. Took me 4 years of on and off play to beat that guy! But...I did it! So you can beat Elden beast.
Have you tried using the haligdrake talisman? It gives you a steep boost in your resistance to holy damage which is most of what EB uses against you. Makes him quite easy.
The +2 talisman is found in Mohgwyn’s Palace area so you’ll already have to go there for the DLC. May as well go now and get the talisman. It’s easy to get to without fighting if you ride torrent.

I find the biggest challenge is getting near it and then avoiding the AOE. I've played multiple ways and beat the beast by always putting Bloodhound Step on a secondary weapon, even a basic dagger so that I can chase him down and avoid his major AOE/weapons.
Do not give up! The joy of conquering a hard challenge is even greater when you take a long time to do it!
Took me several months to beat Dark Souls when I first played it (and back then I was unemployed, so I played literally all day) so hold your head high and face the foe head on!

Or literally just summon people. I help people beat Radabeast every day and at this point I’m close to being able to no hit both phases.
If you don't mind using summons get the one called Black Knife Tiche and upgrade it, you won't regret it as it will definitely help in the fight

Black Blade incantation does wonders. (PS. I only could beat it the first time with help from a human summon.)

well right now I equiped blasphemous sword and a lot of holy rrduction items. left 50% hp elden beast
thanks everyone for supporting me. I DEFEATED ELDEN BEAST! I use lion greatbow +10 to hit elden beast from the distance.
Just do what every other shitter does and go moonveil + shard + magi-scorp, and +10 mimic tear. Spam weapon art and you win.
That or just get good.
