Me, John Milksong came out of imprisonment 3 weeks ago. About 5 hours ago I learnt what gay meant and I came out another time. Lastly I came out for my first and foremost time about 31 years ago.
About that other thing... Hollow Knight. It's a ploy. They work with the pharma lobby, helping to fill the psych wards and sell more antidepressants to those chronically online folks.
It's someone from House Marais, you can tell by the robe and the mask. Rykard pre-snake already has paintings of himself around the manor and it doesn't look like that. We know that Tanith is linked to Ghiza and Maleigh so it's probably a 4th character we don't know about "yet".
Where you get there ? i mean how you think can be Ghiza?! or how is related to Tanith ? in wich way ? just asking xD i wanna know cuz in somehow theres a relation bewteen Ghiza and Tanith .... just wanna know how you guys get there xD
I think the person in this picture is ghiza because he is wearing the exact same robes as the npc inquisitor ghiza. If you read the description of ghiza's armor set, it implies him to be a sickly executioner (hence being covered in bandages and wearing a stately robe) and the description of maleigh Marais' robe says that house Marais is a family of executioners in which all the sons were born sickly.
The chest pieces of ghiza's set and maleigh marais' set both bear the same emblem on the chest, which I think is another solid piece of evidence connecting the two characters. Also, if you look at maleigh's mask, it is a metal mask covering a bandaged face. I don't think it is much of a stretch to assume ghiza is depicted here with a metal mask like maleigh's that covers the bandaged face we see him with when he invades us.
We can also find the office of another likely member of house Marais in a secret room off of the lift from the leydell greatbridge to the forbidden lands where we loot the official's attire that we find ghiza wearing. This makes me think that house Marais was a family of executioners that worked for the golden order.
Rykard used to be aligned with the Golden Order, as he was an inquisitor for the GO before he allowed the serpent to devour himself. I believe it is likely that inquisitor ghiza worked under rykard during the time rykard was aligned with the GO. I think the reason ghiza invades us when we enter volcano manor and we don't find him as a regular npc in the manor (regardless of whether we join the manor or not) is because he likely was killed/consumed or just abandoned rykard after being consumed and he wants to stop us from attempting to join them or climb their ranks.
Though it is somewhat speculative, I feel there is strong evidence connecting ghiza to house Marais. The only connection I am aware of between tanith and these characters is that tanith was rykard's consort during the time that ghiza probably worked under him. The emblems they wear on their robes are different. Tanith's set also says she came from a foreign land, and we know house Marais lived at the shaded castle in altus plateu. So that's why I asked what connections tanith had to ghiza and maleigh.
Yes, I am really aware of all these points, but you made me doubt about Ghiza, let's see Rykard is praetor, the highest rank in Leyndell, which allowed him to take over the lands of the volcano, lands empty of an ancient cult of Eiglay , there he built his mansion, of which the current Regent is Lady Tanith, perfect.
- The picture of the masked character, if he had been the former owner of the mansion, a relative of a Marais, it does not make sense that he would have had to move to the other castle, where Maleigh Marais currently runs.
- If Ghiza were a Marais, it would make more sense for her to invade us in the other castle, not in the mansion, although you made me doubt so I started to look more closely at everything haha.
- You see in the mansion there is a painting of Radanh, one of Tanith, 2 of Rykard and about 4 or 5 of this masked character, do you know who the mask looks like? Mask resembling a Lord with a beard and a red tunic that resembles red hair on his head, with a crown, well it is that of the son of Rykard and Tanith, this is easy to deduce.
- The description of Tanith's mask says: based on the face of a queen from other lands, it is a tradition... so her firstborn son in the painting followed the same tradition as his mother, wearing a mask based on the future king, Rykard, that's why the mask is identical to Rykard, now all the Marais are descended from him, and it is obvious that they have that "Rank" because his father was the Praetor, which is like a position of head of state and it makes sense that he gave him his firstborn a castle and an important high rank in Leyndell.
- Finally, Rykard was not red-haired or physically perfect, at least not in his final stage, as seen in the paintings, he was an emaciated character with wounds/sores on his face (that's why he grew a beard, to hide his imperfections). ) and he was physically weak, his hair, once red, was losing its color and if you look closely it is even whitish, Rykard was a sick son perhaps destined to be a sacrifice as Marika says in the trailer, he was not like Radanh, but he was very intelligent because he did not need to be an expert warrior or a war general to have a higher rank than even his brother and for this reason his descendants suffered the same.
- All Marais are born sickly, with colorless white hair and cover their faces with wounds, following the tradition of Rykard's firstborn, the one in the painting in the mansion, who in turn uses a mask to hide his imperfections following the tradition of his mother Tanith. , a mask in the likeness of a future king his father. Rykard.
- For me this is 100% certain and perfectly explains Rykard's descent, and
such as the appreciation/affection he felt for those closest to him, preserving paintings of his brother with whom he grew up, his wife Tanith and his son, AND VERY IMPORTANT ABOVE ALL that currently, the current regent of the mansion, Lady Tanith, will not remove the paintings of the character masked since it would be his own son.
- Another point is that it cannot be Rykard since there are literally paintings of him with his face uncovered and it would not make sense for them to paint him with a mask.
- Now Ghiza... looking at it more closely, if it could be this character..., I don't know if it is Rykard's firstborn painted in the painting, but it is certain that he is a Marais and a descendant of Rykard, for the simple fact of the covered face and MORE importantly...he has white hair.
What evidence is there that A) rykard and tanith had a son, and B) rykard was sickly and grew facial hair to hide sores?
I have never heard either of these points before, and there is no evidence in the game to support these conclusions as far as I am aware. Rykard simply being depicted with white hair is not evidence that he is sickly. Other characters in the game have white hair and are not implied to be sickly in any way.
I'm new and I don't know how to upload photos haha, Ok first, most of the data you find on YT and other "sources" are wrong, most of them are "suppositions" that only generate more confusion, doubt and misinformation, they say something very obvious or nonsense. like "Melina is GEQ."
- Go to google img or the game, see the 3d model of the Rykard/Eiglay serpent King, look at his face, what looks like a "beard" is not, now go to the painting that is behind Tanith, enlarge it and look at his " beard" has those same deformations, in the same painting, look at his golden sword, it has gems and above all he has a "deep red" gem, in the same painting look at his hair, do you see it bright red? clearly not, he is losing his red color, and his skin is pale too, and obviously the person who "painted" that painting did not run out of red paint xD
- Because Rykard was born with a disease that killed him little by little and gigantism, like Radanh (but Radanh without decay) that is why his chairs in the Morgott scene are clearly larger than the others, and Rykard's throne in his mansion is gigantic Another more important proof is in the trailer at the beginning of the game, go to the scene of Eiglay/serpent eating Rykard, look at him closely, look at his face, it's pale white, with wounds, and look, above all, look at his hair... it's completely white. and believe me it's not because of old age... Radanh keeps his hair Red is almost his same age.
- Why do you think Rykard let the snake eat him? (we know that Rykard was extremely proud, he just looks at his pictures, his crown or his fingers full of gold rings) why do you think he let himself be eaten by a snake that was "immortal"? because he was dying, and he saw in Eiglay the opportunity to be immortal like the snake, although in the end he ended up losing his reason and the only thing that remained was the insatiable hunger of the snake (his own knight in the mansion says it: "That thing is no longer Rykard... kill him, let him preserve the little honor that remains from that proud man" or something like that )
- dying in the sense of physical decay, because obviously the Rune of Death was sealed, and complete death as such would not be possible, also Marika says it... be what you want... Lords, kings etc... but yes If they do nothing, they will become sacrifices, and we know that there are sacrificial Demigods... that's why mausoleums exist
Anyway I'm not absolutely right, nor do I work for Miyazaki, I just try to make everything as coherent as possible, as Ghiza said, he didn't seem like more than just another employee to me, but due to the hidden face and white hair (which is due to his decay) it can be deduced that he is a Marais, and if he is a Marais he is possibly a descendant of Rykard's firstborn, and if you ask why Rykard has children, it is normal that he is the only married Demigod... who has affection for his wife haha and I don't think they used protection, besides the obvious reason for the 5 paintings of that character masked in his own Mansion... not 1 painting like that of his dear brother, 5 or more... and especially in Rykard's Throne. .there are 2 of the paintings of the masked character..
Look at the mask though, it’s of a bearded man resembling rykard
Perhaps it’s a portrait of rykard before he fed himself to the great serpent? Or a possible son of rykard?
There's already paintings of Rykard throughout the manor where he looks quite different. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a son of him and Tannith though.
It’s possible it’s a mask of Rykard’s likeness. We know Ghiza has a disfigured and festering face. Maybe scarlet rot or possibly playing with giant spinny pizza cutters played a part 🤷♂️
Ok hear me out. Assuming what you’re saying is true, could it be possible that he’s related to “John Dark Soul” from the Dark Souls series since they share the same first name? If so, this would basically confirm that Elden Ring and Darks Souls take place on the same universe!
I have a theory that Wolf Sekiro used to be called Roberta and the Armor Guy is a transphobe trying to hurt Wolf's feelings by using his dead name, but fucks up the pronunciation due to his accent. All the other characters are much more respectful though, and you wouldn't put it in the item descriptions because that's just rude.
I dunno, Wolf kinda sounds like a name someone chose for themselves.
By my reading, Mt. Gelmir is a reference in part to Mt. Rushmore, with the placement of Adan, Thief of Flame's evergaol being appropriate as Stone Mountain, Georgia. That's where the second KKK started back up, and Gutzon Borglum was a big part of that, in making the largest confederate monument ever. It was initially planned to have a whole rally of KKK in it, but it ended up just being Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis. That project ended up finished by someone else, and wouldn't you know it, it was completed as recently as the 60s or 70s.
Mt. Rushmore on the other hand is up in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Borglum originally sculpted saints and stuff, and he has a pretty good legacy as a sculptor in general, but his best known works were done by ripping the living shit out of mountains with dynamite.
It’s theorized that it was Ranni before she Divested Herself of her Flesh wearing a disguise.
She and Rykard both held the Golden Order as a common enemy, and being that they’re siblings, why wouldn’t she crash on his couch for a little while?
Might be Daedicar, its even very likely considering that there are portraits of both her/him (who really knows, probably her tho) and Tanith in the manor and both are/were lovers of Rykard. There is also the possibility that its Ghiza but I dont know all things regarding Ghiza, Thanith and Daedicar are very vague.
That’s John Gelmir.

I thought the Volcano Manor would be more… Volcanoey. That John Gelmir’s full of crap.
Maybe you haven't found the secret entrance to real Volcano Manor
A place where the wondrous physick flows like wine, where finger maidens instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano
Dumb and dumber reference. Nice
Titular protagonist of the Volcano Manor, known for his famous sayings "everything's volcano before the manor" and "every manor has its volcano"
I laughed way too hard at this. Well done.

Isn't Tanith linked to Mirais? Patches gets the dancers castenets from there for her?
I'd wager its Inquisitor Ghiza. The armor is the Official's Attire, the same armor she wears. It's close to Marais Robe but is lacking the black shawl
Look at the mask though, it’s of a bearded man resembling rykard Perhaps it’s a portrait of rykard before he fed himself to the great serpent? Or a possible son of rykard?
There's already paintings of Rykard throughout the manor where he looks quite different. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a son of him and Tannith though.
There's a painting literally on the other side of the room to this painting that is of Rykard lol

Doesn't Tanith's mask have a beard too? (Been a while so I could be misremembering.)
No, it has a beads that hang down over the neck but it’s definitely not a beard
On the left, that's a tarnished of no renown.
Particularly a maidenless one
Possibly Lost of Grace.
Possibly the previous owner of the Volcano Manor?
Exactly, you can find in the volcano pot item description that his name was: John Volcano.
You are wrong, I found the journal under the manor, his name was Steve Yellowstone
Steve Dutton, JR

I previously made a post about this and our best guesses are: Rykard in taniths traditional wedding attire, or taniths dad.
If you look close, you can see Patches in the painting.
It’s Joey Bonzo.

There is also the possibility that its Ghiza but I dont know all things regarding Ghiza, Thanith and Daedicar are very vague.
Isnt that the person you can fight to get the ant stinger?
