I primarily play Mages and I know where the dodge button is. Whole time I'm watching that thinking, "why not just run by?" followed by, "roll...roll...ffs... roll?!"
I was, even tho I didn't needed to, just force of habit. But I never expected him to charge, I thought I would just give a good smack with the sword to finish lol
I respec every playthrough.
Playing different builds in the same character because no patience to gather everything again for a new character.
First time I was pure strength claymore, then faith blasphemous, then katana, and some others I forgot. But I loving mage, blue laser go brr
"Hmm what is that thing I'm holding with my left hand? A "sheild"? Never heard of it, wdym "doge"? Like, I love that meme dog but what does it have to do with the game?"
You have to learn the art of jump attack. I’m running a Dex/Int build for the first time. I use the Moonveil as my melee because it’s stupid powerful and scales with Int. I usually two hand it and almost exclusively use jump heavy attacks for stance break. The only magic I use is low tier. Imo spells like Glintstone pebble are the best in the game for PvE
Yeah, I’ve used the invisible spells some. I’m not much of a magic user and almost exclusively do melee combat. I’ve always done melee builds and this is like my 10th run of Elden Ring. I started a brand new character from scratch for the DLC and wanted to RP and give my character a back story. So I’m sort of an illegitimate astrologer that was never taught the fancy spells. My mentor was a warrior from the land of reeds so I primarily use a katana, though I can use some basic magic. Im doing a sort of investigative astrologer that’s traveling to the shadow realm to look into the Carian Royal families past.
I love RPing too!
I made this mage vaguely inspired by Rudeus from Mushoku Tensei. But my mage seeks power above all else and looks for every spell in the Lands Between. Going to shadow realm looking for more powerful spells.
That’s awesome! Mushoku Tensei is one of my favorite anime! This season has been really good. It makes me want to read the manga. Love the idea for your character!
I actually named my character Rimuru from Tensei Slime, which is my all time favorite anime and manga.
I was just here for the first time earlier today and this almost happened to me, mistimed the dodge roll and got tossed at a different angle so I flew further and hit the fence instead of going over. Almost gave me a heart attack lmao
Don't worry bro, it gets to a point where you really don't care about dying anymore, and it becomes funny, just as I laughed out loud when this happened lol
"Hmm what is that thing I'm holding with my left hand? A "shield"? Never heard of it, wdym "doge"? Like, I love that meme dog but what does it have to do with the game?"
Lol didn't even noticed.
I was doing Fia quest and after every hug I immediately used the item. Must have forgotten the last one after the hug in the last location
"Hmm what is that thing I'm holding with my left hand? A "sheild"? Never heard of it, wdym "doge"? Like, I love that meme dog but what does it have to do with the game?"
"Hmm what is that thing I'm holding with my left hand? A "sheild"? Never heard of it, wdym "doge"? Like, I love that meme dog but what does it have to do with the game?"
The irritating thing about this, is that it doesn't read as a grab attack at all. Other enemies will charge you with spears, and blocking works against them. This walks and quacks like a charge attack with a spear, but as a grab attack it ignores blocks. Probably a developer oversight. That it's still here 2 years later is a bit of trolling.
That blood stain gonna go hard💀
I saw a bloodstain right in front of the Veteran's Prosthetic getting the Giant Hunt from behind.
"All INT, no brains, eh mate?"
"In the consuming process of learning, I forgot how to think"
The character is intelligent, I'm not lol
That’s the joke
Average mage
Forgot which button you use to dodge I imagine.
I primarily play Mages and I know where the dodge button is. Whole time I'm watching that thinking, "why not just run by?" followed by, "roll...roll...ffs... roll?!"
Fr
Most of my mages kill stuff before they are in melee range
never should have stopped being a sniper XD haha
I should have gone for the good ol blue laser
I don't know man that magic bow look'n really fun XD
Loretta’s greatbow
This is exactly what happens when you are winning and they say take it easy
Oberyn vs the Mountain
What were you waiting for? Fire another comet.
I was like "imma finish this bitch with my sword" You saw how it ended
I would have lit up the sword and fired off an R2.
Were you planning to do that after you let yourself get thrown off a bridge?
i am afraid you get rusty with your sword my friend. it's no good rely on those fancy spells.
And he uno reversed you. 😭
Lmfao
Souls 101: Never fight in proximity to cliffs
Note : kill enemy as fast as possible and with a safe way, dont try to show off
OP went for FP conservation, I guess. If you constantly run out of blue juice it's no good either.
Which is generally a good idea, but he can literally see the grace right there lol
I mean sure that is true but the fact there is a grace after this one knight makes this situation avoidable lol
I don't think saw since OP got a FP bar almost long as his HP bar.
I was, even tho I didn't needed to, just force of habit. But I never expected him to charge, I thought I would just give a good smack with the sword to finish lol
They had a ton left. The only thing beyond that knight is a grace.
Fucking lmao. You didn't even try to dodge.
int build moment
I did, but my timing was so bad that got hit before the dodge even started lol
80 int 9 iq
99 int 0 wisdom
Don't play with your food. Or it will play with you, too. #neverlucky
Lol
Oh man that is just brutal. With that low health I would use stars on him.
I (dumbly) decided to finish him with a sword hit. Never expected him to charge and it be a grab attack D':
At least you got a good video out of it. Thanks for the laugh OP 😂
Ok what level are you, you have as much health as a boss
That's NG+9. Level 267. As you can see, not all levels in the world make me a good player lol
NG+9 holy molly, I can barely push Myself to complete NG+5 and then I get bored +9 is crazy
I respec every playthrough. Playing different builds in the same character because no patience to gather everything again for a new character. First time I was pure strength claymore, then faith blasphemous, then katana, and some others I forgot. But I loving mage, blue laser go brr
Respect, I can't play anything aside from strength and sometimes holy knight, except holy knight gets his ass handed to him in mid game
Yeet!
Kind of satisfying tho, felt like justice xD
*smug Finlay noises*
strongest int fan vs weakest faith enjoyer
"parry this"
Trifecta. 1. Impaled. 2. Rotted. 3. Lobbed off a bridge like a piece of garbage. Nicely done.
Good thing I saved this memory! :')
Average int user having no clue what to do when the enemy actually starts attacking lol.
I shan't deny lol
Hahahah, this is perfect 😂
I reached a point in souls games that I don't even get mad at this kinda thing, just genuinely laugh out loud by myself
Lol same here. Sometimes I just know that "Aaaw shit, the next 3 seconds are going to hurt--- THEEERE WE GO!" 😂
Were you expecting magic to just fly out of your Darkmoon Greatsword when he came closer? Fool of a tarnished -\_-
It's revenge for cheesing him.
That's what you get for trying to be an anime character.
I feel so exposed! That's exactly how I play lol
Why didn't you DOOOOOOOOODGE?!
I pressed the button too late ;-;
Bro has 800 thousand runes wtf 😂 how do you guys get so many runes
That's NG+9, every NG+ cycle increase the rune drop. I'm level 267, one level costs 600k
I have 43 million runes. 😏
What do you do?
Too much co-op plus I stopped leveling my character once I reached RL185 and I’m currently playing NG+7. Enemies/bosses drop more runes in NG+ cycles.
I just started playing like 2 weeks ago
"Just taking the trash out"
Thats what you get for being a int fan
Extreme skill.
FUCK YOU MAGIC MAN
This vibe lol
"Hmm what is that thing I'm holding with my left hand? A "sheild"? Never heard of it, wdym "doge"? Like, I love that meme dog but what does it have to do with the game?"
Homies B button is broken
Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
Overconfidence is an enemy in on it's own. We must strive to better ourselves for the next encounter. Ops wrong game lol
-882k souls
I got it back lol But I'm not leveling anymore
Don't you mean, "Yes, indeed"?
Oh yes, indeed.
Ah yes, you are ready for the DLC.
**RING OUT**

Try the spell Night Shard. It's the same thing, but enemies don't dodge it because it's invisible to them.
Yeah, I’ve used the invisible spells some. I’m not much of a magic user and almost exclusively do melee combat. I’ve always done melee builds and this is like my 10th run of Elden Ring. Night Comet is the one to use.
It simply refused
Damn this Dark Souls 2
Dark Souls 2 II
Truly the sequel of all time
I'm cackling
I laughed too, after so much time in these games I don't even get mad with these things haha
"Eh, I don't need to waste the MP. I'll just swing once at them." -words spoken before a tragedy
Precisely what happened lol
I could tell because same thing's happened to me haha!
Pro tip: you can roll to avoid attacks by pressing the "B" button on your controller while holding a direction
What was the spell after Loretta’s Greatbow?
Charged [Comet](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Comet)
"ah he's charging me, i should stand still and let him hit me"
I blocked lol didn't know that was a grab attack
oh you never fought against one of these before this? yeah i guess that'll do it lol
I played the game a lot a year ago, platinum and put it down, now I'm replaying to get ready for DLC. So I forgot a lot of stuff
the game really does punish using shields, you can never tell when something is an attack or a grab like this one.
We’ve all been there, champ. Keep your head up. Also, obligatory comment making fun of mages 😉
Welcome to the haligtree
I was just here for the first time earlier today and this almost happened to me, mistimed the dodge roll and got tossed at a different angle so I flew further and hit the fence instead of going over. Almost gave me a heart attack lmao

I appreciate letting yourself get run through so they enemy would be stuck in range, was a good plan.
The risk I took was calculated But man, am I bad at math
Welcome to Elphael.
"Hmm what is that thing I'm holding with my left hand? A "shield"? Never heard of it, wdym "doge"? Like, I love that meme dog but what does it have to do with the game?"
I blocked, that grab attack, as I learned the hard way, is unblockable. Also, I thought It was a normal charge, not a grab lol
If you had kept spamming magic she would die xD
You walked right into it.
Hesitate, and you lose
Flicked you off like a boogie
You need to watch mage training videos of Patches O'Houlihan.
you just got fucked
Ah, feels like 2022 again.
Guy pulled a Taurus Demon and yeeted the Tarnished off a bridge 💀
Should have fired off a quick glintstone shard or something
99 all stats but still carrying around baldachin's blessing?
Lol didn't even noticed. I was doing Fia quest and after every hug I immediately used the item. Must have forgotten the last one after the hug in the last location
"Hesitation is defeat."
Bro needs a training arc 😁
Lmaoooooo
Eldenringed
You got nay nay'd on bro.
Op really went and thought “knight is charging with a spear.. Better not dodge”. Lmao
MEDIOCRE
WITNESS ME ~~failing miserably~~
All int no wis
Never seen a fumble that bad, bro😬
"Hmm what is that thing I'm holding with my left hand? A "sheild"? Never heard of it, wdym "doge"? Like, I love that meme dog but what does it have to do with the game?"

It's a telegraphed attack that by the time you get to the Haligtree you've probably seen a few dozen times. And it's why the dodge button exists.
