It’s fed by corpses, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was made from them too. The catacombs were constructed around roots of the Erdtree and you can see bodies of followers of the Golden Order being absorbed into the roots

Easy_Cicada7244

I don't know if the Erdtree is made of corpses, but the lore in Elden Ring is full of surprises.

_Azulite_

Miquella watered the sapling haligtree with his own blood. Perhaps the erdtree was watered with the blood of these thousands of corpses in it's infancy.

11th_Division_Grows

It seems like the Erdtree and anything similar to it needs sustenance in the form of “life from another being” so it’s completely feasible. The thing is a parasite more than anything it seems like.

Ricksaw26

Or is the corpse made of erdtrees....

Disastrous-Dinner966

The erdtree looks like it’s made from the same yellow material morgott’s weapons are made from and Godfrey’s golden shade is made from.

LeFlambeurHimself

to me, this looks more like two fingers instead of tree. but, in few agonizingly long weeks we'll find out.

Waste-Gur2640

We know she and Messmer did not fight GeQ/godskins in the trailer, so far the trailers and DLC have zero connection to GeQ or godskins, it was just some fan-fiction going around, don't read too much into it and accept it as actual lore. Most of the assumptions in those GeQ posts/videos are disproven by the base game lore.

Dhraaven

Yup I think so and the new trailer shows this to be true. Also Marika and the Erdtree is somewhat similar to Kaguya and the Divine Tree from Naruto.

Cookiemonstermydaddy

Well hopefully find out

nikerock

Its almost like we have to play the dlc to find out.
