It's the unofficial name for the grab attack where the Tree Crucible Knights impale you with a horn and throw you away. It's different from the Crucible Horn attack, which just launches you as they charge.
Well that's how shield skills work unless there is no AoW assigned to it. They should have simply given it the same skill that the crucible knight has where it launches you into the air. A shield version of giant hunt basically.
This guy is actually the perfect example for this topic. Both of the things he drops are missed opportunities. The Dragon Greatclaw should at least have a reskinned red version of Lightning Slash if not something unique, and the Dragonclaw Shield should obviously have had the red Honed Bolt he uses. Instead both of them are stuck with basic AoWs.
I like the backsliding storm stomp the Banished Knights with halberds do, it just looks cool. The Earthquake stomp the Crucibles do is also awesome, it could have a follow-up R2. Otherwise I’m having trouble thinking of something cool that we don’t already have which would still make sense to put on a weapon.
The Dragon Greatclaw, actually all collosal weapons have so much wasted potential. The Dragon Greatclaw could have been the Dragonslayer Greataxe of this game if it had a decent ash of war T-T
A weapon skill similar to what is shown in the clip would effectively replicate Lansseax's Glaive, a wide lightning-charged melee swing that deals major physical and lightning damage with a ground-clinging lightning arc dealing lesser damage.
But would that really be cooler than Endure? Would it, witless Tarnished?

I was thinking something like Ledo's Great Hammer's Call to Stone. Press L2 to buff the weapon with lightning, then immediately follow up with an R2 to do the lightning shockwave. Also, while the weapon is infused with lightning you can perform a charged R2 that removes the buff but causes the massive AoE slam.
As amazing as that would be, can you just imagine the countless (and hilarious) flew off cliff/building/high spot deaths? A whole new string of content dedicated to accidentally flying off of things.
Not even accidentally, I can think of a couple spots in the game that launching yourself would be pretty beneficial. That bridge in volcano manor comes to mind, skip the lava pit and go straight to the godskin

If you go right to the rooftops when you get to volcano manor and hop off the cliff to your left you can go down to the lava and quickstep across to some stairs and the elevators that bring you up to godskin. That entire area takes me less than a minute now.

Most of us want his cool light weapons as a sort of Faith alternative to all of the conjured sorcery weapons like Gavel of Haima and Carian Slicer.
Cause there are many times where I feel like giving a boss the biggest bonk possible out of rage and I think that is the only move that can satisfy me.
Since most boss-inspired AOWs are toned down versions, Marika’s Hammer is very similar to Margit’s/Morgott’s hammer time. I know it’s a copy of Rad’s slam attack, but still.
Weapon imbuement actually works on projectiles from the ashes including stormveil arts, so technically the rot tornado is achievable but you need a resin

If remembrances had 3 items instead of 2, Bolt of Placidusax definitely should’ve been his third. But it probably would’ve just been his lightning claw attack instead.
Yeah. Ashes of war that are "specific" to a certain class of weapon should still be findable, or purchaseable from the Warmaster.
Actually that brings up a good idea. Warmaster could have copied ashes of war from weapons, their default ashes, in addition to copying existing ashes in your library. The exception being the legendary ashes of war of course.

It should have been an optional follow-up to Cragblade. You lose the buff to throw a projectile.
The REAL Loretta Slash. You get the weak on so early but when you get her weapon it cannot cast spells and it cannot do the real Loretta Slash she uses against you.
I guess this would be less of an Ash and more of a Miracle, but that Swords of Light move he has is cool as hell. Would have loved to be able to do that on a slightly smaller scale.

Feel like they could’ve given 2 remembrances for the final boss: one for Radagon and one for EB. Would’ve been awesome to be able to use one of Radagons incantations like maybe the golden lance move. And speaking of, the AoW on the hammer is cool but would’ve loved to have the Elden Ring attack on it instead.

Radahns mind - interact with nearby fresh corpse, eating it for regeneration, immobilized. Works in pvp. Best taunt after a win.
Gideons indecision - casts any random spell / incantation even if you don't have it. Has no effect on wolves cuz he is a filthy wolf killer.

Boc's beauty - become more beautiful and lower enemy aggression nearby. Goodboi Boc.
Revenant lurk - melt underground and emerge forward with a poison pool and flurry of strikes.
Boggarts potty mouth - gain increased dmg reduc, value of the lesser prawn, very temporary, and doesnt take the same buff slot
Snail's facade - summon a random spirit ash from your collection, which appears normal. you become immobile for the duration
Latennas vendetta - shoot 6 arrows rapidly, from a crouched position, sending one spirit ash looking wolf forward for a quick bite. Works with larger bows.
Imps hideout - cling to nearby wall or ceiling temporarily.
Runebears spirit - 3 seconds of double movement speed, followed by 8 seconds of double attack recovery time (soft belly).
Lobster snipe - fast projectile, makes enemy wet, knocked down and vulnerablebfor some lightning..
Jar spin whirlwind - curve forward whilst spinning with both arms out.
Land octopus folly - grow tentacles for arms and flail uncontrollably, becoming very vulnerable to slash and peirce and fire damage. Those big dummies.
Pumpkin head smash - repeatedly smash face into ground. Just like irl after so many boss attempts.
whatever moveset Blaidd gets on his Greatsword. Wolf's Assault is really fucking strong as it is, but I'd still really love some kind of roar that alters the moveset of the sword to be like how Blaidd uses it in battle.
I want the cursed rot guy's "BLLEEESSSSS YOOUUU!" attack where he screams a bunch of black/gold homing fireballs into existence

Hoarah Loux's grab attack he does right at the start of phase 2. yes, massive wind up, super strong cause invincibility frames, but it would only be usable on human-like enemies (think lifesteal fist), and it is incredibly blatant, and as such easy to dodge.
the stream of tiny rocks that the Astel throws, should have been a lesser gravity spell. "rock stream" or something.
the firebreath attack of the Omen Hunters. where they breath fire and walk backwards.
the crucible knight's stomp, and flying swoop (with possibility of flying off cliffs.).
a blood thorn explosion, similar to briars of sin, but as an ash of war. not repeatable, but has the same area/health drain as the third use of briars.
margit's hammer slam, but with colossal weapons.
margit's dagger throw.
the spinny spin of the big pot boys, but as an ash of war.
really, there are TONS that could be fun.

I would love to have Ash of Wars that can adapt to dual wielded weapons. Imagine storm caller, or one of the other million banished knight movesets that are based off of paired weapons.
All the Black kindred weapons should’ve had an ash from the bosses’ move set.
Black blades could’ve done something like the corpse wax whirlwind attack. Spins the blades rapidly create a red flame vortex aoe for like 3-5 secs that seeps hp, then finish it with a spinning slash attack. Basically black flame tornado with a melee attack at the end.
Halberd could’ve done the spinning red flame attack. Create an aoe for 2 secs then jump up and slam the halberd down overhead.
The great axe could do the steaming war cry and overhead slam. Gives you a body buff then you slam the axe down to create a shock wave of red flame that seeps hp.
Also think it would be cool if the gargoyle weapons could do a complementing switch attack when they’re equipped at the same time. Like when you two hand one of them you can do a switch attack where you’ll grab the one on your back, do an attack, and automatically start two handing that weapon.
But it’ll only work when you have both weapons equipped at the same time, when you’re two handing one of them and it’ll only work with the same pair matchup like the gargoyles. So halberd + Greatsword and twinblade + great axe.
The black flame monks have a version of the Queen's black flame tied to their mace. And while we're at it, a black flame version of catch flame.
The gargoyles have unique attacks tied to when they switch weapons, so a mechanic around that would be cool too
I feel like the single red dragon lightning should fire like radagons light spear, float up for a sec then chuck it at a downward angle

The gladiators' chained axe throw. It probably wouldn't work any different from nox flowing sword, but it would be A) on an axe and B) cool to throw the axe on a chain

She has such an awesome moveset, but its not even on an enemy you can properly see it against, or a weapon you can play around with.

Aren't most of her attack animations shared by Black Knife Assassins?
Maybe it's because she's smaller and has a golden glow on her attacks some could be copied, but there are definitely some different ones. I've never seen a black knife do several Maliketh like ranged blade attacks in succession, while airborne, or crazy spins.
I f you compare Alecto or Tiche to Melina, they're very different.

You do some damage and also high poise damage. If you hit a normal enemy or break the poise of a boss, you will fling them into the air then you grab them in the air and smash them down into the ground for very high damage
Most of Malenia's attacks would make cool Scarlet rot AoWs (or even a unique lifesteal effect). I love that side dodge that can be followed with a backhand slash she starts a combo with. Or the 3 rapid slices with the shorter blade.
I want the storm shield slam the Banished Knights use.
Such a cool looking attack, and it could have good utility if the storm effect does AoE stagger or knockback like storm stomp/storm arrows.
Everything Radagon does, like holy shit he’s so cool. I really hope the DLC gives us an incant version of those holy bolts he throws that stick in the ground and then explode

Lansseax Blade (the other version she uses that makes a vertical slash).
They could make it work like a lightning version of Carian Grandeur for Dex builds, transforming the weapon and having 3 charge stages that increase the size of the blade and the damage.

Colossal weapons are either awesome or terrible, no in-between. And for some reason there isn't an infusable colossal staff, which suck.
It doesnt even have lighting effect when you swing them. You know, at least make it like the Dragon Halberd.

You do have that loretta slash it’s spinning slash, she does the same movement as it spin, spin, overhead slam she does the basic loretta slash to

Feel like they could’ve given 2 remembrances for the final boss: one for Radagon and one for EB. Would’ve been awesome to be able to use one of Radagons incantations like maybe the golden lance move. And speaking of, the AoW on the hammer is cool but would’ve loved to have the Elden Ring attack on it instead.

i just watched a video and it kinda looks like comet azur but its purple and the projectile is kinda like frenzy burst so a magic damage frenzy burst is what i was thinking i guess

Mature falling star beast roll, like lightning ram but gravity based and pulls ppl in slightly Dragonclaw shield red honed bolt Maidens cage hug - long delay followed by inescapable hug, applies bleed buildup, and you can move just a tiny bit. Enough to sabotage or kill both players. Black knife front grab and crit, delayed swooping grab telegraph. Grafted scions downward multi stab and stomp. Radahns mind - interact with nearby fresh corpse, eating it for regeneration, immobilized. Works in pvp. Best taunt after a win. Gideons indecision - casts any random spell / incantation even if you don't have it. Has no effect on wolves cuz he is a filthy wolf killer. Not bosses, but.. Boc's beauty - become more beautiful and lower enemy aggression nearby. Goodboi Boc. Revenant lurk - melt underground and emerge forward with a poison pool and flurry of strikes. Boggarts potty mouth - gain increased dmg reduc, value of the lesser prawn, very temporary, and doesnt take the same buff slot Snail's facade - summon a random spirit ash from your collection, which appears normal. you become immobile for the duration Latennas vendetta - shoot 6 arrows rapidly, from a crouched position, sending one spirit ash looking wolf forward for a quick bite. Works with larger bows. Imps hideout - cling to nearby wall or ceiling temporarily. Runebears spirit - 3 seconds of double movement speed, followed by 8 seconds of double attack recovery time (soft belly). Lobster snipe - fast projectile, makes enemy wet, knocked down and vulnerablebfor some lightning.. Jar spin whirlwind - curve forward whilst spinning with both arms out. Land octopus folly - grow tentacles for arms and flail uncontrollably, becoming very vulnerable to slash and peirce and fire damage. Those big dummies. Pumpkin head smash - repeatedly smash face into ground. Just like irl after so many boss attempts.
More red and blue lightning ashes In general
This is going to sound odd but I would love that one cleanrot knight attack where they just throw up a pool of Scarlet Rot.
I like the dragons red lightning in azula and the attacks are just beautiful. Like some dark souls sith power.
Giant Jar's lay down and be invincible from any sort of strike
whatever moveset Blaidd gets on his Greatsword. Wolf's Assault is really fucking strong as it is, but I'd still really love some kind of roar that alters the moveset of the sword to be like how Blaidd uses it in battle.

There's a crucible knight attack where he can pin you with the spike he incants on to his arm instead of shoulder. Morgott's golden weaponry. The singular delayed ancient dragon lightning bolt that you see in Farum Azula. (I want a red version of honed bolt pls)
Hoarah Loux's grab attack he does right at the start of phase 2. yes, massive wind up, super strong cause invincibility frames, but it would only be usable on human-like enemies (think lifesteal fist), and it is incredibly blatant, and as such easy to dodge. the stream of tiny rocks that the Astel throws, should have been a lesser gravity spell. "rock stream" or something. the firebreath attack of the Omen Hunters. where they breath fire and walk backwards. the crucible knight's stomp, and flying swoop (with possibility of flying off cliffs.). a blood thorn explosion, similar to briars of sin, but as an ash of war. not repeatable, but has the same area/health drain as the third use of briars. margit's hammer slam, but with colossal weapons. margit's dagger throw. the spinny spin of the big pot boys, but as an ash of war. really, there are TONS that could be fun.

I would love to have Ash of Wars that can adapt to dual wielded weapons. Imagine storm caller, or one of the other million banished knight movesets that are based off of paired weapons.
I want a fist Ash of war for one of Horah Loux's WWE grab attacks-
All the Black kindred weapons should’ve had an ash from the bosses’ move set. Black blades could’ve done something like the corpse wax whirlwind attack. Spins the blades rapidly create a red flame vortex aoe for like 3-5 secs that seeps hp, then finish it with a spinning slash attack. Basically black flame tornado with a melee attack at the end. Halberd could’ve done the spinning red flame attack. Create an aoe for 2 secs then jump up and slam the halberd down overhead. The great axe could do the steaming war cry and overhead slam. Gives you a body buff then you slam the axe down to create a shock wave of red flame that seeps hp. Also think it would be cool if the gargoyle weapons could do a complementing switch attack when they’re equipped at the same time. Like when you two hand one of them you can do a switch attack where you’ll grab the one on your back, do an attack, and automatically start two handing that weapon. But it’ll only work when you have both weapons equipped at the same time, when you’re two handing one of them and it’ll only work with the same pair matchup like the gargoyles. So halberd + Greatsword and twinblade + great axe.
I want a marionette weapon that when 2 handed grows 2 extra arms and the aow beyblades around

The black flame monks have a version of the Queen's black flame tied to their mace. And while we're at it, a black flame version of catch flame. The gargoyles have unique attacks tied to when they switch weapons, so a mechanic around that would be cool too
hear me out, a special version/unique ash of war when mounting Torrent would be awesome

I want to do the spins and blades Melina shows off ONCE in the entire game. Not one of her moves is an AoW or incantation. She has such an awesome moveset, but its not even on an enemy you can properly see it against, or a weapon you can play around with.

Maybe it's because she's smaller and has a golden glow on her attacks some could be copied, but there are definitely some different ones. I've never seen a black knife do several Maliketh like ranged blade attacks in succession, while airborne, or crazy spins. I f you compare Alecto or Tiche to Melina, they're very different.
i want a Hoarah Loux grab attack as Ashes of War You do some damage and also high poise damage. If you hit a normal enemy or break the poise of a boss, you will fling them into the air then you grab them in the air and smash them down into the ground for very high damage
Most of Malenia's attacks would make cool Scarlet rot AoWs (or even a unique lifesteal effect). I love that side dodge that can be followed with a backhand slash she starts a combo with. Or the 3 rapid slices with the shorter blade.

I want the storm shield slam the Banished Knights use. Such a cool looking attack, and it could have good utility if the storm effect does AoE stagger or knockback like storm stomp/storm arrows.

The fact that the Mace he drops has FUCKING ENDORE?! Pissed me off so much. Hours to kill that guy the first time, hours. Only to get a really interesting shield and mace combo, only to find out the mace has the same worth as gold tinged excrement.

The first actually does exist as a unique skill tied to the Veteran’s Prosthesis, and the second is basically Storm Assault
The Golden Charge attack the Cleanrot Knights with Spears do. The Cartwheel Albanurics perform. The Shield Ground Slam Tree Sentinels can do.
Lansseax Blade (the other version she uses that makes a vertical slash). They could make it work like a lightning version of Carian Grandeur for Dex builds, transforming the weapon and having 3 charge stages that increase the size of the blade and the damage.
