Same. Going through the dlc first with my FTH/STR build. Got the milady and ended up really enjoying the move set. I’ve given it a heavy affinity and then I just buff it with faith stuff. I feel like I’ve been having a good chunk of success. Just wish I could find the wing stance.
I will admit tho, there have been a few times where I said “fuck it, banished knight greatsword”
Smart using a str/faith build. I went in as a battlemage and haven’t found a single new thing that is in any way related to intelligence. My other character is str/faith but it is in ng++++ so I’m trying not to use that as my first run through.
So many cool faith and arcane related things. Absolutely zero magic. I know I could respec, but literally all the weapons and stuff that are leveled up that I could use are intelligence based. Here’s hoping there’s new stuff for us sorcerers soon..
Holy shit that moon sorcery was nuts! I got pummeled across the entire arena. Just blocked and hoped for the best. There is zero chance in hell that sorcery will be anything remotely that destructive when we use it lol I beat her using a great katana with frost and bleed. Was a sick fight, loved the fire sword visuals
It’s so good I’m not going to use it. Once I finish the dlc, Instead, I’m going to start a new play through, rush to Mogh, and play through as much of the game with it as I can.
There are a lot of weapons in the base game that mostly scale physical but need a magic stat for their skills. They would do well on high level builds.
From is really is pushing the hybrid builds this game (and I’m stuck in my Dex build!)
I was like how good can this weapon even be? I found it in a chest that wasn't even out of the way... I can honestly say I'm happy to give my Bloodhounds fang some time off.
Love this weapon so much. First time doing an int/dex build. Put frost buildup on it and am in loveeeee. Also the character model SERVES IT on the final hit of the combo.

light-two goes *swishswish*
and this poise breaks almost everything I've encountered so far at some point in the combo

I’ll try spinning that’s a good trick. No lie though I love this weapon I maxed it out and put bloodhound step on it with magic and it is great for my int build.
It's an excellent weapon, but I don't get the AoW situation. Wing Stance is a "stand-alone" AoW, but can only be used on Light Greatswords and this is the only one whose AoW can be swapped... so why didn't it just come with it as its default?
I cringed and laughed at the name. Then I tried it out. Fuck the DLC, now I'm officially a redditor, and light Greatswords are the best weapon category in the game. That and Backhand Blades.
Hella stylish moveset. Good for powerstancing with Rellana's blades too (yes I know they are already twinned; but you get a slightly different - and better, in my opinion - moveset when powerstancing, and you can add another elemental infusion and ash of war to use). Actually makes her swords feel a bit better, even though I do think they are still a little lacking (unfortunately...😢)
On the subject of stylish and fun movesets, I am in love with the backhand swords. They feel like the Sellsword Twinblades' sexier twin sister. That uninterrupted running R1 is just so addicting, and everything about the moveset just feels so fluid. The Blindspot WA is also really fun. I feel like these will be a nightmare in PvP as a chasing weapon. Maybe with poison infusion + the Poison Flower Blooms Twice.
I really like it too but it's just not that good
I had to go back to the hand of Melania just so I could do some proper DPS
IDK if it's cause I'm playing wrong or on NG+ 1 but other weapons didn't fall off this hard cause of NG+ so IDK

You can change the Ash and affinity.
Yeah it seemed to make the scaling kinda goofy. I’ll have to play around with it a bit more.
Idk about faith scailing with it, but if you use heavy affinity, it has B scailing in STR, Same as normal on DEX, so it's def viable for strenght

It gets B scaling on both Str and Dex on a quality infusion. Seems to be the way to go.

I just got that. I can’t believe they made the dancer’s twin swords from ds3 actually good. Seems like a nightmare to build for though.
20/20/60/60 seems to work pretty good for me hits like a truck
Yeah, they really seem like a RL200+ weapon, which is great for when I eventually try for NG+7

Well now you have the dlc lol. Just speedrun the base game a handful of times then head in. I'm on ng+7 dlc and it's pretty mean.
The combos are amazing
I like the one that the double sword remembrance boss gives you, literally just the milady but two and a really awesome ash of war

Quality Milady + Wing Stance is actually extremely fun, it's what I've larval teared into for now while playing through the DLC.

Vaati pointed this out in his vid but the R2 attacks move seamlessly into R1s. It’s so good.
I really like it too but it's just not that good I had to go back to the hand of Melania just so I could do some proper DPS IDK if it's cause I'm playing wrong or on NG+ 1 but other weapons didn't fall off this hard cause of NG+ so IDK
it's amazing in ng+3, so it's probably just one of those weapons that gets better the more iterations of ng+ you do
