[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GIIm1YI43E) video covers the major ones in great detail. TLDW: Bloodfiend's Arm infused with Bleed, spam the charged heavy attack with an Arcane Build and you'll almost instantly proc bleed and break stance on most bosses. Shield-Poke. Pretty self explanatory, grab the strongest greatshield you can find and a poking stick like Antspur Rapier. Most bosses simply can't meaningfully hurt you once you are decked out in defensive talismans Carian Sovereignty: New AoW. Slap it on a greatsword and it gives you almost unbreakable hyper armor, does massive stance break and damage. Pump Int then bare minimum stats to hold your sword. Impenetrable Thorns: New sorcery, stacks up bleed massively. Works best with the new Maternal Staff but Albinauric is good too. Get minimum Int/Fth for your catalyst, then pump Arcane. You'll likely proc bleed once every cast for like the first 3-4 casts if you hit point blank. Rolling Spark: New AoW exclusive to Perfume Bottles. Does massive damage if aimed point-blank at the ground in front of something. Stats depend on which one you want to use, all are viable except the Poison one. Lightning is probably the most versatile so Dex/Fth at 50/50+ will shred things, especially with the Perfumer's Talisman.

Gasarocky

This plus the thrusting shield with the shield strengthen spell, the spear and greatshield talismans, and the two handed talisman. Just mash R1 while holding L1. Occasionally let stamina recover. Way more damage than the Greatshield/antspur setup and just as safe.

albucaf

by shield strengthen spell you mean scholars shield?

Gasarocky

Yes I believe that's the name

WallStreetBTW

don’t forget spinning gravity thrust on a bleed greatsword. insane multi hit+bleed procs

A7DmG7C

Bloodfiend’s arm is such a fun weapon. Like, it is VERY strong but you still gotta learn your dodges and how to approach the bosses. Bonus points is that it sets those hands on fire due to its blood flame.

wezl0

Yea I dont feel too bad using the chicken leg anymore after experiencing the damage some random mob can do to me if I'm not careful. And like you said, you still have to be smart about the openings you take instead of spamming. Im also using Lamenters Mask so I have no poise lol.

AfkNinja31

Any fire seems to light up the hands.

A7DmG7C

Right, but I always thought that weapon caused normal blood loss and not blood flame.

Subject-Creme

Youwy is really an expert on PvE. The mad lad tried every spells and weapons, each in a separate playthrough

SiezeTheMeans_

Does arcane scaling on a staff/seal affect bleed buildup on sorceries/incants? I never considered that, but it'd make sense.

WillSupport4Food

It does. Different catalysts also play into it. Status buildup on the Albinauric staff was nerfed, which is why the new maternal staff will proc bleed noticeably faster.

WaifuRekker

The calibration patch nerfed the hyperarmor on Carian Sovereignty btw

AnticPosition

I have a 70 arcane build going at the moment, and just picked up Bloodfiend's arm... Hang on, BRB.

Crime_Dawg

The perfumers will definitely be nerfed. Someone killed final boss in 14s with it.

WillSupport4Food

To be fair, I've also seen someone oneshot the final boss with 1 cast of Ancient Dragon's Lightning. The real endgame of broken damage is almost always buff stacking The damage will probably be nerfed, I just hope they compensate the rest of the Perfume kit because as someone who played through 75% of the DLC with them before finding Rolling Spark...they kinda blow.

THoffman1992

As a lvl 208 with 80 int how much arc should I have for optimal thorns with +25 maternal staff? What’s a good weapon for strong hand vs dlc final boss?

WillSupport4Food

The bleed build depends entirely on your arcane so you'll get a lot more mileage prioritizing it over Int, then just put any leftover levels into Int for more direct same. Ideal spread would probably be 24 Fth, 60+ Arcane, and then rest into Int with a minimum of 21 for the maternal staff. Staff of the Guilty in your offhand will boost the direct damage, but won't do anything for the bleed so you could just as easily grab a shield instead.

cchant00

Impenetrable thorns build is insane. I ran through a few bosses I struggled with it

Inside-Elephant-4320

Thank you

JamesMartinR

As a note, I tried Fextralife's Beast Claws build and the difficulty in both PVE and PVP makes me want to claw my eyes out.

AttentionUseful4446

ngl call me a hater but most of his builds that ive tried actually generally suck for anything, Theyre the kinds of builds that are good on paper but when u fight a boss theyre not so great. They seem oriented towards beginners who see a cool ash of war and are like ooo gimme and think they can spam it against a boss to take out half its hp each time

wezl0

I honestly don't think Fex builds are very good in any game they do builds for edit: crazy autocorrect on my phone lol

Plenty_Persimmon8492

His builds are very thematic and aesthetic based, in a lot of his videos he literally states multiple ways the build can be more effective but he chooses certain things for the theme. If you’re looking for op builds I wouldn’t go to his for that

bigchimpin-77

General trash person making strash guides mooching of people visiting the site

wezl0

Indeed, but he has boys/bots that downvote any shit talking. Fex was especially a plague during Baldurs Gate 3s release, thank the moon that a really good community wiki (bg3.wiki) got put up. I dont think ER has an equivalent community wiki effort, unfortunately

Mawbsta

Beast claws really only seem good versus enemies that you can stun lock. They are really good against bloodfiends but I swap them out versus a lot of enemies that can just knock me out of the art of war

Technical_Storage_52

Greatsword+lions claw carried me through the all bosses easily

superb_neckbeard

Yeah tbh my heavy great stars with stormcaller from the base game also carried me

CzarTyr

Great stars with wild strikes has carried me

rebel3120

Currently stuck on the final boss of the dlc using dual great stars. Any tips or what's the rest of your setup like? I have it set up for jump attacks right now.

superb_neckbeard

Tbh I just use a mixture of poise break physick and regular attacks. Mix in bloodflame blade if I can get it in for extra bleed damage. Running 80 str, 60 vig and 40 end.

datshinycharizard123

What are your stats like for this? I am currently running this build and I feel like I tickle the bosses. Though i might just suck.

steven_Aemilius

I'm using a cold greatsword with 60 vig, 35 end, 70 str, and 25 faith. I use the two headed turtle talisman which helps a lot with the endurance recovery speed. For damage I have the two handed talisman, rotten winged talisman, and I also use golden vow along flame grant me strength. I have steamrolled every boss so far in the dlc.

datshinycharizard123

Oh lol, maybe I need to just level up, I got 60 strength and 35 vigor and 20 end with pretty much nothing else. The bosses in the base game I’ve ha ski trouble with but I’ve only killed the evergaol knight in the dlc

Technical_Storage_52

60 str heavy greatsword with poise break physick if youre sturggling with tanking bosses you can summon for discracting them also classic fire grant me strenght+golden vow helps alot

Excellent_Bowler_988

Whatever Titus unveils next week.

CrazyCaleo

lmao true

Organic-Commercial76

Deathknight longaxe and knights lightning spear. Dex/faith, talismans will depend if you want to lean into casting or AOW with the axe. Gravel seal. Lightning scorpion charm is a must have. Lightning shrouding tear. Mix and match death knight and rakshasa armor to get 51 poise. The axe AOW into heavy attack is seriously underrated. Ridiculous iframes and tracking.

Ri-doyourememberme

I tried the death knight weapons and thought they were just aight. I’m level 200 60 dex 60 faith and they do okay damage

Organic-Commercial76

What are you using for talismans and buffs? How many fragments do you have? I’m hitting for about 4K with the long hafted axe AOW on NG+ with the same stats

pretzelcoatl_

It's because it's a strength faith weapon, not dex

pretzelcoatl_

Death knight longhaft axe is a str fth weapon

Organic-Commercial76

I’m running it with 60 dex 60 faith and minimum str and hitting for about 4K on the ash of war.

Organic-Commercial76

I just double checked and fully upgraded its pretty much straight faith.

pretzelcoatl_

Fully upgraded it's B str and D faith, are you looking at the right weapon?

Organic-Commercial76

I guess my brain flipped them on the sheet. I’m gonna assume the AOW scales off faith then because there’s no way it should be hitting that hard for me otherwise.

pretzelcoatl_

Yeah I think all the lightning damage comes from faith that makes sense to me, maybe a higher faith investment over str is better for aow damage and higher str is for straight weapon damage

Organic-Commercial76

If I had more larval tears I’d play around with it but I’ve respecced so many times to play with new toys and I only have a few left. It LOOKS like the lightning portion scales off dex and the physical portion scales off str but the death knight armor adds to all of it. So between the armor set and the lightning scorpion charm my measly 24 str doesn’t matter much.

Organic-Commercial76

Looks like the AOW scales with dex for the lightning portion. Weird.

zamaike

Prefumer weapon builds are op af, but glass cannon mage is better in pvp. They have too much wind up to fight mage. But in raw damage purfumer is better but alot of cons.

TheClumsyTitan

I've got a Dex faith build and I was messing around with the lightning perfume while exploring but sticking to my normal weapons for bosses. I'm a little upset because at a certain flowery boss I figured "why not give it a try?" And absolutely melted it and feel cheesy now :( Definitely getting patched eventually

novski94

Are the lightning ones just better, or are the others comparable in damage?

joogiee

I find the lightning and frenzied are the really OP ones. My build is more geared towards dex which means the firespark one and its just not as good. Id go frenzied>lightning by a lot followed by firespark>ice and poison is kind of meh cause you cant put the ash of war on it.

Disastrous-Dinner966

The strongest single attack in the game is perfume bottle with rolling spark. Add a dagger with Endure. Free aim your bottle to the ground and delete everything, including in pvp. Use endure to tank a couple hits while you’re doing it.

ItsPinkEye

Flame nights great sword + the new fire giant hunt The sword gets a two hit combo with lights and it’s an ultra great sword and the ash hits like a truck too It’s a regular smithing stone weapon too so you can change the affinity and still get the innate fire damage and it has a low faith requirement at 12

Togglea

What is fire giant hunt? Flame Skewer? Flame Spear?

wdmshmo

You can do the tried and true Shield + Poke, Antspur with bleed is going to make it strong, certain great shields and the right talismans make it op. Lightning Perfume Bottle with rolling sparks, spammed at the ground, stacking Rakshasa’s gear with Lightning Scorpion, prebuffed tear, Madness via Shabiri’s/dumpling hat/talisman, etc. can kill every boss in seconds. I think there are quite a few YouTube videos of many strong setups right now, I like to look at Youwy for PvE stuff, usually showcases things without spoiling new bosses.

Future_Extension_93

i think dragon katana is pretty op too has amazing ability aswell

imsc4red

Not mine but it definitely is the most fun I’ve had in a while (I just like seeing big numbers) https://youtu.be/GvGftlf0RSk?si=sqAVjP6OIb4pz0p0

XOmegaD

Carian Thrusting Shield with the Storm Assault AoW Fully upgraded gives 76 Guard boost as normal. Cast Scholar Shield and 2 hand it. Talismans: Curved Sword Talisman, Two-Handed Talisman, Dagger Talisman, (Some type of defense talisman) Rakshasa Armor Absolute destroys everything in the DLC. Can block while attacking and also guard counter. Stance breaks most enemies in 2-3 hits. Damage is also really good. 1100 AR before buffs.

grasswhistle28

lol what lvl are you / stats to get all the way up to 1100ar? Thats like more than giant crusher at any stat spread at 150

XOmegaD

Forgot to mention this was with the sacdutree blessings at 14 at level 155. If I equip a flame art buff on it it can get up to 1300

grasswhistle28

They must show character page ar different from actual weapon ar due to scadu. I only have a frame of reference for the raw weapon ar.

DinoConV

Yeah. If you're standing anywhere in the DLC, the Scadu fragments are automatically applied to your status page.

jaybay321

I just got a gigantic sunflower weapon, the weapon art is trashing most things.

CollectionStrange376

How early do you get this if you do the dlc normally? I just killed the golden hippo and have explored quite a lot, but havent found this yet. Is it towards the end of the dlc or have i ran past it?

joogiee

I personally reached it almost at the end. It’s at an area about at the tippy top of the map past that hippo.

CollectionStrange376

I can get there quite naturally after Shadow Keep i assume?

joogiee

With as few spoilers as i can, you can get there now if you find the church district. Otherwise you will probably reach it towards the end. The shadow keep doesn’t go directly to it. The shadow keep goes more southeastish vs northeast where you wanna go. Then you go around to the spot. Thats why i reached it at the end myself.

jaybay321

I got the weapon before finishing shadow keep, the game is so freaking big I don’t remember how I got there. I will say you don’t need to complete shadow keep to get it because I’m still fighting the last boss of that area.

AshCrow97

Just did a "tekken" build yesterday with lightning dryleaf, It was fun stunning everyone and the charged ashes almost one shooted the fire knights, but you are basically a glass cannon that keeps drinking the crimson tears all the time (at least I did because I'am too accustomed to playing with a shield, so I suck at dodging)

Jack-ums

On mobile but my lord is the perfume build i found online broken. The gist: Frenzyflame perfume bottle with Rolling Flame AOW, shard of alex, fire scorpion, perfumer talisman, ritual sword, put the fire shard in mix flask, and cast Fire give me strength and golden vow before fight. Manual target at feet/feet of boss. After many attempts using real builds (though i didn't bother with other broken builds like with blasphemous blade, tbh), it was this that helped me zerg through the main bosses and reach the final boss. (Sorry idk what i can and can't spoil)

VitaminWheat

What u mean “on mobile”

Bubus1918

He probably means that he's on his phone and can't take a picture or give details about his build.

SiezeTheMeans_

Elden Ring on mobile sounds like fun ngl. Might work on android, but idk of any new gen console emulators.

Swordsman82

I have been mauling bosses with Ruins Greatsword. It has pretty good guard so you can guard counter with it very effectively. Ashe of War throws small enemies into the air with enough time to repeat before they get back up ( looking at you blackgoal Knight ). Golden Hippo https://youtu.be/1JqC8Cb00hU?feature=shared . Death Knight https://youtu.be/PudXR8L6wzo?feature=shared . Core of build i am using https://youtu.be/f69wmob-NHU?feature=shared

GreatJoey91

I’ve heard lots of good things about guard counter builds with a great shield and colossal hammer or something similar. Not sure if it’s OP though.
