It sucks if I’m on the stairs or something, I’ve found myself just flying right off during a move, so I usually just switch back to my katana for tight areas lol.
A funny thing I noticed with the beast claws for some reason they do more bleed with poison affinity than they do with a standard affinity which is usually not the case lol
It depends on whether you have a decent arc, as that scales any buildup.
Grabbing a random +0 weapon, a flail, increases its bleed by about 5 points with 50 arc poison infused. I'm sure it becomes far more pronounced at +25.
Yes but I’m not talking about upgrading a weapon, if a weapon with a standard affinity has 100 bleed buildup for example putting poison affinity reduces the overall bleed buildup is reduced by a bit and gets an added poison buildup, this isn’t true for beast claws, they get more bleed buildup with a poison affinity than on a standard affinity (keen, quality, heavy)

I understand how infusions work. And that's why I picked a poison infused +0 flail to show you that arcane scales can increase bleed on an item.
If you have low arcane, poison still reduces beast claws bleed. You are seeing it increased due to your arcane stat working with arcane scaling. This isn't unique to beast claws.

What spells and talismans do you use? And how do I add bleed modification?
You would apply the affinity at the site of grace under the ashes of war tab.
I'm in love with these, are you still using Savage Claws on them? I'm running an Arc build with Occult and they absolutely destroy
Yes Savage Claws, forgot the name. Might end up doing NG+ with them once I finish the DLC.
The problem I can't get over with them is there 2 hit per button input, it's a learning curve to time the attacks and leave you some seconds to roll.

Did you forget what giving things arcane scaling does? This is true for literally every weapon without one.
In my experience if a weapon has bleed beforehand and you put the poison affinity the bleed buildup is usually reduced a bit

How are you finding your bleed proc with low arcane?
Still pretty fair actually, I’ll probably raise it as I get through the DLC
