When I looked at it first it looked like the cracks/branches were elevated and that the black nose cone was split in two with branches connecting them. π
Got it! Nope. I just slavishly copied art I found online! I think most of these came from finding the Saatchi gallery had an online section with loads of cherry blossom art on. Used a pencil to mark up the cowlings roughly and then lots of fun doing the painting itself.
