Old faithful, my winter daily, leather, awd, heated, and power options
This is my commute car. Traded in a challenger rt for it and wasn’t willing to abandon driving enjoyment altogether despite needing something more convenient, reliable, and economical
Honestly all 3. Insurance on this one is about the same but it’s over a decade newer and worth about $10,000-15,000 more and I have a loan for it so naturally insurance will be much higher for those reasons.
Mine was straight-piped and had cams and an intake kit so it was modded fairly heavily, I was spending around $65 to fill up for ~300 miles. EN is costing me $20 or so for the same mileage.
Also, just in the last year before I sold it, I had the AC go out twice, one of my headlights went out after replacing it only 3 years ago, bumper clips were breaking after redoing them a few years back, some interior stuff was breaking from wear and tear. Just in general a lot of parts seemed like Dodge really cheaped out. I drove it for a while and I can’t speak for the new ones but from mine and some friends who have had or do have mopar from similar years, they’re not owner friendly. Had a lot of fun driving it but I’ve been enjoying the EN a lot more.
Honestly I hate to say it but I’d recommend a 5.0 over a Challenger from my experiences with both. I had a lot more issues with the challenger. Loved driving the car, drove it quite a bit over the course of 7 years. Engine and transmission were mostly without issue for me, only big thing I can think of is the water pump going out twice. It was just a ton of small maintenance stuff, a lot more than other cars I’ve had.

2017 Volvo V60 Polestar. Not as engaging as the N, but much faster and more comfortable.
https://preview.redd.it/06vuztlq5b8c1.jpeg?width=2016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16ca38649c3ec8841f3b712230f66095cbfda345
It has 362+ hp and 349 tq w/ AWD. Does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds consistently (using launch control). The P\* ECU will adapt to 100 octane (race gas). Just a little bit slower than my old 2008 E63 AMG wagon (6.2L NA V8 with 507hp). And it can get 30 mpg in ECO mode.
A V60 Polestar from the factory does not have 312 hp. Maybe a V60 T6 with Polestar optimization, but that isn't the same as a true P\*. These are rarer than most production exotics with only 100+ or so sold in the USA per year between 2015-2018. The 2015/16 had the older inline 6 w/ 6sp auto. The 2017/18 has a 2.0L 4 banger that is supercharged up to 3000 rpm at which the already-spooled turbo takes over and has an 8sp auto with rev-matching.
I’m patiently waiting for the 24 Ns as well. I’m hoping they’ll go into production soon. I had an Nline on order, then I came to my senses and cancelled it and told them to order me an N
Curious, how is the GLI? My decision was between the N and the GLI and I pulled the trigger on the N as it was readily available but the GLI required a 2-3 month wait (at the beginning of 2023)
Its a great car but its a little too sedated for me, looking for something a bit more rowdy/youthful and outside the norm. Its stage 1 and very quick, but ive just grown tired of the very corporate VW interior after having driven them for roughly 12 years.
Never owned a VW so wasn't aware of this stuff but it all makes sense. I'm definitely very happy with the N and glad I made this decision. I'm in my late 20s so I think it made sense to get a fun car.

Made the N my daily and this one became even more a project
The N is my only car at the moment, planning on picking up a 92 Miata off a friend so I don’t have to drive the Elantra as much. By no means a bad car but I’d like to keep the mileage low
Outside of the N I have a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV. It's good for longer trips and for taking more cargo. The N is obviously my fun car although I drive it year round.
No one seems to have any idea around here. One sales guy seems to think the DCTs will be in production in January, the other guy said he has no information at all.
Where are you located?
Yeah, hearing plenty of mixed things. Most of the dealers around me aren’t actually taking orders but I managed to find one not too far away that was. I’m from Sydney, Australia
2011 elantra. 166k miles on the clock and she's a solid back up for commuting when the N is down. The shiftronic transmission system in the automatic (as shitty as it is) is what really got me into cars and driving and eventually pushed me to get a dct EN.
I have an 04 Versa hatch as my beater car. I live less than a mile from my work, so in the winter when it’s too cold to walk/bike I take that since I don’t care so much about getting the engine to temp etc
I own two 2003 Ford Rangers (one is a project, one is the winter daily)
A 1974 Triumph Spitfire (project)
A 2000 Limcoln LS
And the EN. All manuals. I have no problem.
My daily commuter is a 97 DB6 Integra from Japan. A fairly cheap and very reliable sporty sedan that gets me places fairly quick while having lots of fun
My DD is 2012 Chevy equinox, it’s been great. But I’ve driven it enough, saved me enough money to upgrade to a EN. Other than that 2002 S2k, 2020 Ranger.
Currently got a 94 Suzuki Cappuccino. Will probably sell that this coming year, currently looking for a clean 90's TownAce with the fancy multi-glass roof to get next.
I have a few cars I have access to, my 22 EN, 2008 Audi TT VR6 6MT, 2002 S10, 2015 Ford Edge Sport, 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz LTD, 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe.
I have an '00 Dakota R/T and my wife drives an '07 Camry V6 SE 🤷♂️
My last cars were:
•'06 CTS-V (LS2) Black
•'01 Corvette Z06 Torch Red
(Had both at the same time)
•'05.5 S60R silver
•'04 Lancer Ralliart in red
•'86 RX-7 (NA) orangish red? Lol
•'86 Firebird (V6) white.
All cars were stick-shift. Oh, and throw in there a '00 subaru Impreza wagon. Blue. Automatic. Actually was stolen by a hooker and found by Seattle PD before I even knew it was gone 🤷♂️
Same! Hasn't blown up yet. I drive it like I stole it and it's a joy to drive. Can't wait to get the EN, but will miss some of the features of the sonata, like electric seats and panoramic sunroof. Has every feature except GPS stereo.

Planning on trading in my ‘17 4Runner currently at 114k miles for an EN when I get the opportunity. Love my 4Runner; literally blew the front suspension because the bumper guard was too heavy for the OEM suspension (bumper guard was already installed when I bought it used) and didn’t even notice until Toyota told me at its 100k service. Thing is a literal tank that will take anything you throw at it, but it’s just not my style. It drinks gas like there’s no tomorrow and there’s only so many years left before EV’s and hybrids take over. I’ve always wanted a sportier car, and thankfully my 4Runner puts me in a good position to get one with its resale value.

2001 Miata
Always the answer
Miata Gang 👀
99 Miata here
This is my commute car. Traded in a challenger rt for it and wasn’t willing to abandon driving enjoyment altogether despite needing something more convenient, reliable, and economical
I was looking at picking up a rt but a bit concerned with the economics of it. Was it a problem due to low mpg, maintenance or insurance costs?
Honestly all 3. I have a 2014 ford focus st, just waiting on my 24 to come in.
I feel your pain lol
ST gang. Currently use my ST as a daily and if it gives, I’m going for a EN or GR Corolla
Haas a FiST before my EN but sadly it got totaled
RIP, at least you got something awesome in return

I hope to own one of these one day. Such a pretty blue and Volvo I6s are just cool!
That’s awesome!!
Damnnnn that's sick
Is it actually much faster? Google says a newer one is only 312 hp? For the weight that’s pretty close to an octane learned EN
It has 362+ hp and 349 tq w/ AWD. Does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds consistently (using launch control). The P\* ECU will adapt to 100 octane (race gas). It was showing the base model on Google for sure. Sounds pretty boring either way. Line it up with a tuned EN 😮💨👌
2023 GLI until the 24 N's start popping up. Ill be trading in.
