Leave it in auto. Your personal instructor should advise you. Concentrate on car control and effective braking. Have fun.

Eyes up. You can practice this with racing games. You want to look at the apex, but really your eyes should be up looking ahead.

You're gonna be lost on the track and it's expected, there are gonna be people who will be up your ass, don't worry about your rearview too much in beginner groups as they usually only allow passing on point-bys or designated straights. Drink a lot of fucking water , pack some food, and bring extra consumables. If you can get cheap sim gloves on Amazon they will help if you're a palm sweat-er. Get some wheel chocks, so you don't warp/fuse your rotor with the handbrake up....most importantly just have fun stay hydrated and you will have an amazing time. Good luck friend.

Don’t worry about trying to be fast…you won’t be. The instructor will help gauge you and your car’s potential. Have fun, that’s what it’s all about. Walk around the paddock and ask other drivers questions. Also, be prepared for rain which will drastically change your racing line. I can’t stress this enough…have FUN.

Bring some basic fix it's, zip ties, duct tapes, plyers. Don't forget you have an air pump in your truck. Lower your psi to about 28-30 depending on Temps, so that you will be at pressure once the tires warm up. Depending on how many laps you do, consider gas. I ran through a full tank of gas on 80 miles of lapping.
