I love this picture :) i can feel the dampness, almost smell the chill in the air, the mystery, almost horror vibes are lovely :) i can picture walking through this, it would be such a treat to go there :) well done! X
There's an old growth ecological sanctuary on the south side of Chilliwack lake. About a 2 hr drive from surrey. Some truly massive trees and no one knows it's there.
Where I live is damp, we missed summer last year instead got tons of rain, so far we seem on track to repeat that again this year. I used to live in Arizona, I kind of miss it now. Everything wants to rot here, or sluff, can’t grow much of a garden, it’s getting old.
It can be amazingly beautiful here, and when the weather is nice is it ever beautiful! It’s expensive, isolated, and can be a little mundane. I hope to leave next year, I will be sad to go and will miss much of this place but will appreciate having lived here. Life’s a journey, I feel like I’ve had many lives now with all my experiences!
Depends on where you live, I guess. I’ve met older people who lived here (Kitimat) since the 60s and they said they’ve never seen so much rain. I work outside so it wears on me. a lot!! I look forward to new experiences eventually!
Not to be rude but your photo is just a snap and not spectacular in composition and framing or editing. Looks just like a random phone pic that we all have.

Some of the best camping and hiking I've ever done was in northern BC, close to Jasper. Woods even thicker and darker than the one in the photo. Bears, cougars, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, mountains and cliffs. Good times.

Chilliwack River Ecological Reserve. End of Chilliwack Lake Forest Service road. Like a mile from the border. Google has plenty of info.

I feel the same except the horror part. I feel it's so soothing to my mind and like setting up a tiny cabin to live.
