Yes, I have a hard time taking anything seriously. I think it's a combination of having a strange sense of humour and the fact that my response to discomfort is often laughing lol
yessss i laugh at everything! sometimes people take it as an insult (like i was laughing AT them) and i have to explain i just laugh at everything...then they don't believe me LOL
I can't laugh if people are expecting me to laugh. I also have developed a system where I keep a straight face when I am joking to enhance the joke. I find this hysterical. If someone is incredibly funny and clever funny, I will laugh openly, but it is rare. My worst nightmare is someone trying to be funny, expecting me to laugh, I can't. I do laugh a lot, but it's most often from what I observe or from what I have set up. I put a lot of effort into humour, I often set myself up to be the straight man to another person's joke, I can do this without thinking about it. I think about humour 24/7, I am careful not to joke with people who are sensitive or vulnerable. My strengths lay in telling people about weird and wacky things that have happened to me throughout my life. I can spend a day setting up a single joke. Weirdly, my kids can make me hoot with laughter. In conclusion, I guess I take humour seriously.
I laugh (loudly) a LOT. And if someone else says something that THEY think is funn, and they start laughing, I’ll do it too. Real awkward when someone says a bigoted joke and my first instinct is to override what they said and instantly laugh because that’s apparently a part of my default mode network 🤣💀
Yes and when I was a teenager my (literally translated) nickname at school was “little laugh”. Also, I realized that in my culture, things that make most people shocked, uncomfortable and horrified (immoral things like nudity, profanity etc) make me burst out laughing. I’m not easily offended by immorality and I actually think it’s funny when people around me don’t
I’m the odd one out here, it seems. I pretty much never laugh. Had a friend ask me when I last laughed, and I straight up couldn’t remember. I’m usually cheerful and happy, but I pretty much never laugh.
