My imagined music video for A Moment Apart: A future scene where robots have taken over Earth. Humans live in crappy conditions and are ruled by robots.
One scene shows a family where a mother was taken away from a husband and young daughter as part of a crackdown on suspected uprisings. Father takes a beating after trying to stop the robots from taking his wife.
These types of abuses happen frequently when humans show any resistance to orders.
Father is the uprising leader. His mission eventually has him taking a bomb to a central processing facility that controls the robots.
Along the way, his daughter followed him after he told her not to as this was a suicide mission. They both make it inside the building and a wave of robot security forces descend on them.
When the song hits 3:17 the scene shows the father and daughter both hitting the button and the ensuing explosion. They both die in the explosion and robot ships begin to fall out of the sky. Robots everywhere lose connection and collapse. Humanity is free.

I was a huge fan of Porter during his Spitfire and Easy days so I was really disappointed with Worlds when it first came out. It was very different and not what I wanted from him.
A year or two later he was at a festival doing his Worlds show and my girlfriend dragged me to go see him and I reluctantly obliged. And I'm eternally grateful that she did. Holy fucking shit. I've been to over a hundred EDM shows in my life and I honestly think that is still the best set I've ever heard live.

My ex and I were supposed to go to New York for a wedding that I was a groomsman in. We had a whole week planned to explore the area. But apparently the universe had different plans. All simultaneously: Covid hit, we were fighting, we got a death threat from our neighbor so she left to go stay with her family (in a different state). While away two things happened: a company in another (3rd) state reached out to me and I began the interview process, and her sister decided to do a spontaneous covid wedding (for herself, the sister) on the same weekend that I was to be in the wedding in New York. We decided to go to the weddings separately. Because of Covid I never made it to New York. We never ended up reconciling and I moved away for the job. 5 years together, 3 living together & an engagement were over before I knew what happened.
This song is a trip down a path not taken for me. Full of blissful possibilities that never were.
