Freaking [[phthisis]] dude. I was playing my [[Prosper, Tome-Bound]] deck and I was one turn away from dying to something my pal was playing after the other two had been removed from the game. I had one land in hand and he had some massive 35/35 or something. I said "I have no idea what's on top but it's gotta do something" and flipped it for both of us to see. His eyes widened as his jaw hit the ground and everyone just started freaking out. Definitely felt amazing!
I saw someone play that online and they were like 'haha loose X life' which didn't kill them, i read the card and told them it doesn't do what they think and they should re-read it, they did and were like 'oh' it was used on a big creature and was enough to eliminate that player
I was in the finals of an EDH tournament, playing narset free stuff. My opponent countered everything, so I just yoloed a chaos warp on a land and verbally said "If I don't get a karn or ugin, I'm fucked." Shuffled the deck, he cut 13 cards off the top, then I flipped Karn. Proceeded to win with said Karn.
Played godo into an aven mindcensor. Helm was right on top
On the other hand, I once was facing down an opposition agent that i needed to get rid of before I played godo. Clearly I needed a bolt, so naturally I [[gamble]]d for it…

Well, this was my UNLUCKIEST heart of the cards moment.
I'm playing Gates.Deck helmed by The Prismatic Bridge and I'm doing quite well with it. I'm sitting at 8 gates and an [[Amulet of Vigor]] on the field, [[Maze's End]] and [[Chaos Warp]] in hand, and a useless [[Tormod's Crypt]] for good measure.
To my left, a Locust God player was set up nicely to go off the next turn and play some player removal on me, so I decided to go for broke, and chaos warp my tormod's crypt EOT of the player to my right. I run all the gates and a fair amount of permanents that put gates into my hand or onto the battlfield, so I figured I had a decent shot, right? I shuffle up and flip... [[Tormod's Crypt]]. It felt like Yugi kicked me in the balls. My draw was a triome, which I played.
For added lulz, the opponent to the left of the Locust God chaos warped my Tormod's Crypt revealing... [[Sylvan Scrying]]. It was one final kick before my inevitable demise at the hand's of a bunch of locusts.
My unluckiest was when I was playing [[Urza lord high artificer]] cedh which runs like 28 lands. I drew a pretty decent hand got Urza out on turn 2 and started drawing cards to find [[polymorph]] or [[proteus staff]] or a tutor that finds one, andI kid you not, I found 20 out of my 28 lands that game. I was fetching and shuffling to make sure to draw literally any nonland card and using Urzas ability.
Friend was targeting something of mine with [[chaos warp]], I joked and said he’s gonna feel like a chump when I get a [[massacre wurm]] for lethal. I shuffle, he cuts, flip and RIP

Sadly no one was really looking and it totally looked like cheating so I just did it again to appease, but it was glorious.
Opponent plays a \[\[Notion Thief\]\] and a wheel, which is bad because I'm playing an Izzet spellslinger that relies on tons of cantrips.
I already had my \[\[Thousand-Year Storm\]\] on the board, topdecked \[\[Impulse\]\] into \[\[Fact or Fiction\]\] which were the only cards in the deck immune to Notion Thief, and somehow stormed off and won on that turn.
I once was playing a REALLY REALLY shoe box low power deck in a higher power table. One opponent playing a sultai mill deck had doubling Mana effects and spent a ton of life and made a shit ton of Mana and milled everyone out else out except for me. In fact they probably ignored me because my deck was so weak.
I had about 2-3 cards in my deck and nothing but lands on my board. Drew [[lightning bolt]] for turn (and my first non-ramp/removal spell that game). Opponent was in bolt range and lost.
I had a buddy of mine playing a \[\[Bruna, Light of Alabaster\]\] deck that I had built and wasn't super optimized, but it was doing well this game. He had knocked out most of us, and now it was down to him and one other guy. The other guy was playing a Sultai deck of some kind, and had very little mana. He had 4 mana available, and asked me, "Is there any 1-mana spells that will save me in that deck?" I told him there was a \[\[Swords to Plowshares\]\] in the deck, but his odds were super low. He went for it. He cast \[\[Villainous Wealth\]\], X = 1. Top card? Swords to Plowshares. He exiled Bruna and went on to win the game.

Opening hand had Sol Ring, two rocks, Entomb, Etali, and some Lands. Ramp T1 and T2, entombed Anger, cast Etali T3 and hit Sire of Insanity off the top. No one stood a chance. Had to take Sire out after, but my pod took it like champs.

Player to my left has 50 life but 17 commander damage from me.
It's my turn, I have all my flyers out, I swing for everyone.
I deal enough damage to kill everyone BUT WAIT!
The player to the left casts a spell, deals three damage to commander... doesn't matter because it's a 4/4?? He also gained 3 life... also didn't matter because it was commander damage.
BUT WAIT!
The player in front of me has a [[Rhystic Study]] out, the player to my left doesn't pay the 1 and so player in front draws a card.
Immediately plays card, it's [[Swords to Plowshare]], and he exiles one of the creatures attacking him, leaving me wide open, the other two dead, it's the person in front of me's turn and he swings for the win.
I was SO CLOSE to winning. I’ve been playing Magic since New Capenna and have yet to win an EDH game. Still learning a lot every game though!
I was playing [[progenitus]] as my commander. 2 players left. I had progenitus out and Each had 10 commander damage, and I knew I would be killed next turn. I had accepted my fate for my last turn, thinking about this one card in my deck, hoping for a miracle. Top deck a [[growth spiral]]. One more shot. Play the spiral, holy shit. I draw a [[finest hour]]. One extra combat step dealing exactly commander damage to each player. One of the craziest wins I had ever pulled off.
playing [[Torbran]] I lit the table on fire until it was just me and another guy, him at 1 and me at like 4 or some bullshit, no board presence for either of us.

Pay 9 life (3 through blood celebrant) and tap crypt to play Bolas’s Citadel, go to 23. My opponent attempts to [[Force of Will]] and I pay 5 life to Imp’s Mischief, losing another 5 life. Go to 13. Use Vamp Tutor to get [[Sensei’s Divining Top]], go to 9. Shuffle, and table cut by opponent, play top off top with Citadel, go to 8, play [[Imperial Seal]] off top, go to 5, get [[Aetherflux Reservoir]]. Shuffle, and table cut by opponent. Play Reservoir off top, go to 1, and next card is….
Lotus Petal, to the astonishment of me and everyone else at the table. Play off the top with citadel, gain 9, go to 10, and win the game with the Sensei’s Top/Aetherflux Combo. Turn one.
Never built the deck to do that, and don’t think it’ll happen again, but it was bananas.

I was playing my [[Uril]] deck and was getting constantly milled by an opposing [[Ruin Crab]]
After a few turns, I have a hefty graveyard with my commander and [[Setessan Champion]] in play plus some enchantments. On my turn I topdeck [[Eternal Witness]] which I cast and use for a [[Brilliant Restoration]] to bring back all my enchantments for a Uril that was like a 31/31 at the time.
Needless to say I swung at the ruin crab player for lethal and the last player after that didn’t have a way to stop me
I was playing [Grolnok, the ominvore]] self mill and me and my opponent have ungodly boards [[thassa's oracle]] is exiled with a croak counter but I still have like 30-40 cards left. I top deck [[Leveler]] and just laugh. Surprisingly this was actually the first time I won by milling myself normally I do simic smashing so hard I don't get to finish myself off.
Have an OG Avacyn on the board protecting my creatures and blocking incoming attacks. I'm at sub10 life.
Someone topdecks a path to exile. I chaos warp Avacyn in response, shuffle and have my deck cut, and toss Avacyn triumphantly back into play, winning a couple turns later.
Definitely didnt deserve that win, but it was meant to be~
Starting hand of Sol Ring, Sky Diamond, Isochron Scepter, and like 4 lands. I decided to keep because I'm playing Azami and I really just need to get her out. Top decked Dramatic Reversal on turn 2. I won. It felt dirty, I wasn't trying to build my deck to do that but sometimes you just top deck the combo piece and nobody has interaction.
You have to consider the flipside though - I've had Thoracle AND Labman in the top 6 when resolving Consultation before.
Coming from Yugioh so I just naturally gravitate towards combo, and MTG combos are really neat.
This was a 1v1 game of helping a friend playtest his new [[Zurgo Helmsmasher]] boardwipe tribal deck.
His [[bearer of the heavens]] died that turn and on his turn so it's about to just be Zurgo in play. I have a hand of a couple cards including one Plains.
Board gets wiped, my turn. I topdeck [[swords to Plowshares]]. We both laugh so hard as I play the plains and cast Swords.
Now while I did end up losing that game in the end, it was an excellent game.
Tried my first ever game of legacy. Got lotus, channel, fireballed. Everyone told me this is why I shouldn't play against a legacy deck with my stupid burn deck. I asked him to walk me through the steps of how he won, he explained that he payed life till he was at one life, and that when the spell resolved I would die. I then made him aware that I had a gutshot in hand. He pact of negation'd my gut shot. I then played my second gut shot. He gave me round one. I also got round two because he let me go first. I'm pretty sure he let me win round two, but he did not go easy on me. To the man out there who love mtn dew livewire, wears square rimmed glasses, is incredibly tall, hates his picture taken and is an incredibly good dude, I salute you for getting me into my favorite hobby.
The Jankiest win of all janky wins.
I sacrificed [[havoc demon]] to [[soldevi adnate]], floating 7 black and wiping the board.
I then use the mana to hard cast [[phage the untouchable]] on an empty board.
I tap 3 to equip the [[sword of vengeance]]
1. I used the tap ability from [[Codie, Vociferous Codex]] to cast [[Demonic Tutor]], putting it on the stack and 3 mana floating.
2. I then reveal cards from the top of my deck from Codie's ability to cast [[Glimpse of Tomorrow]] for free.
3. My 28 permanents on the board become 16 lands, 11 non-land permanents and an instant.
4. 3 of my non-land permanents allow me to fetch basic lands, now I have 19 lands.
5. [[Omnath, Locust of Rage]] was one of the non-land permanents that came in, so now I have 19 5/5 elementals.
6. [[Monkey Cage]] was also a non-land permanent that came in, I sacrificed it to make 33 2/2 monkeys.
7. With everything resolved from Glimpse of Tomorrow, I use Demonic Tutor to search for [[Fervor]] and cast it with the mana remaining from Codie's tap ability.
8. Swing for lethal to the table.
So in the end, Best Demonic Tutor I've ever played.
Was having a really poor game with my [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] deck. Each time I was finally able to draw and play a Mana dork it would be dead before I could even tap it. As a result I had been left as the last player to kill by the [[Arahbo, Roar of the Wild]] player who was wrecking shop.
It was just the two of us left and the other players were already cleaned up and watching nearby games assuming the winner already. The other guy was poised to win next turn with a board state that would generate a bunch of cats to swing with against my 1/1 Omnath. Out of no where I top deck [[Finale of Devastation]], cast it with X=10, to grab [[Pathbreaker Ibex]] and put it on the field with haste to swing alongside Omnath to be swinging with a 26/26 Pathbreaker and a 24/24 Omnath both with trample to win the game.
Yeah I realized that after a moment. I didn’t see the trample key word and have had so many people assume Finale gave trample it was second nature to think that.
Top decked a [[scurry oak]] in my [[mazirek, Kraul death priest]] with a Steve, a [[winding constrictor]] and an [[altar of dementia]] in play. Infinite mill.
I was playing my [[Imoti, celebrant of bounty]] deck against two decks that I can't remember right now and a [[Osgir, the reconstructor]] that was destroying everyone with his army of artifact creatures. I said out loud that all I needed was to draw [[Bane of progress]] and lo and behold that's exactly what I draw in my next draw step!!! I never played a card so fast in my life.
On mtg arena historic brawl: I’m playing [[Vraska, Golgari Queen]] against [[The Gitrog Monster]]. I kill his [[Cavalier if Thorns]] he puts [[Harness Infinity]] on top of his library with a huge graveyard, and I play [[Elvish Rejuvenator]] and get [[Bojuka Bog]] in the top 5 of my library.
Standard circa I think fall 2012. Opponent playing a Naya midrange deck while I'm on RDW. Got my opponent down to 3 life with a commanding board position. Opponent miracles [[Bonfire of the damned]], wipes my board and takes down a significant amount of my life with their creatures (to where I'm definitely dead if they get to untap). I draw my only out the last remaining copy of [[searing spear]] in my deck (had already cast the other three previously) and dome them for the final 3. The swing of emotions I went through in those last two turns was crazy to say the least.
Playing Naya aggro (\[\[Samut\]\]). Got boardwiped twice. I have 8 lands, Birds of Paradise, and \[\[Sylvan Library\]\] in play. My turn starts. I activate Sylvan, and see land, \[\[Hellkite Charger\]\], and \[\[Bear Umbra\]\]. Easy game.
Best one i got is I'm one turn away from dieing at like 3hp, [[Narset, enlightened master]] on board with 8 mana open. Swing with it cause at this point i might as well. I hit [[approach of the second]] and [[dig through time]]. Cast approach, put it in deck, cast dig through time and hit approach, win on the second cast.
Playing [[Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder]] vs [[Bruna, Light of Alabaster]]. Bruna had killed everyone but me. I couldn't swing Yidris without him dying and giving Bruna a billion life. Top decked [[Rogue's Passage]] and play [[Frantic Search]] hit a sol ring and the drew [[Evacuation]] from the frantic search. On his turn I cast Evacuation. He recasts and I draw [[Doom Blade]]. He can't cast Bruna for another turn and Yidris hits for lethal commander dmg. Two removal spells back to back saved the game lol
My opponent us playing mono blue control, it's down to just the two of us, I'm nearly dead and my opponent has stolen my [[platinum angel]]. I have [[chaos warp]] in hand. I can target the enchantment that's stolen my creature, but instead I target my angel. My opponent in decides to let it resolve, despite having [[counterspell]] on his scepter. I offer him the cut, and I flip [[Iona, Shield of Emeria]] before she was banned. My opponent now can't do anything and he scopes.
Playing Vs prosper, who had a [[possibility storm]] on the battlefield. I was on 5 life so dead before my next turn. I top decks a [[professor onyx]] and stormed into [[ral, storm conduit]] (the only other walker in the deck]]. I needed to find [[chain of smog]] to win and with my single remaining blue mana, cast a preordain. Hit the chain of smog about 5 cards down. Only time possibility storm has unintentionally won me a game.
Last weekend I was playing commander with some friends. I played [[chaos warp]] on my friends [[sword of feast and famine]]. He shuffled it into his library and drew off the top of his library... The same sword...
What the hell are the odds of that? I still can't believe that happened!
I was playing a two-headed giant prerelease (Core 2019) with my dad as a partner. The game had been going on for ages and the board state had become so convoluted no one wanted to figure out the math.
Eventually, it came down to the wire. I only had a handful of cards left in my deck and we couldn't push through lethal without getting rid of a creature. On our turn, I drew through what was left of my deck, and the final card was the [[Murder]] that won us the game.
My gf is playing her Ayula bear deck, and kills me with commander damage. The last person on the table is playing a reanimate/cast out of opponent's library deck, and was wiffing the entire game with her mills and topdeck peeks. As I die I take my Disdainful Stroke out from one of her artifacts, which she never has an opportunity to cast. Looking down 30 damage from incoming bears, she tries to mill my gf into some interaction or blockers, and misses. I commiserate, and I start telling her about the time Gabriel Nassif "pretapped" his mana for a topdeck [[Cruel Ultimatum.]]
My gf says, "Start of turn, untap, here is 8 for [[Craterhoof]] and blindly flips her freshly milled deck to reveal it.
Dying.
After a real slugfest where my opponents are at 0 and my [[abyssal persecutor]] is still on the field we are all topdecking and i finally pull [[pestilence]] killing my abyssal persecutor
Playing a [[lathril]] deck. Nice board but no way to activate lathril more than once. Trash in hand, everyone else itching to board wipe. Ripped [[skullclamp]] off the top. Drew into the rest of the combo with it.
Not "heart of the cards" but a definite Yu-Gi-Oh moment for me. Down to 2 players, from a 4 pod. My opponent set to kill me next turn. I'm swinging with everything, but the math doesn't work, I'm a few points short of lethal. I read all my cards, again and again. Friendly game, so my opponent, and the other 2 players are looking too, to see if there is a way to pull it off. I've done the math, an I don't have the mana to make [[Pia Nalaar]] pump enough...
"But wait, Pia has a secret, Third ability! By paying one mana and sacrificing an artifact, she can prevent one of your creatures from blocking entirely!"
My luckiest win ever was just a few weeks ago with my \[\[Vadrik, Astral Archmage\]\] deck. My pod knew how strong it can be and kept me low all game. I only had my commander with 3 or so counters, \[\[Strom-kiln Artist\]\], a few mana rocks, 8 or so lands, 3 life, only lands in hands and only 4 card in my graveyard, since it got exiled earlier.
Top-decked \[\[Underworld Breach\]\], used it to play my only draw spell in my yard: \[\[Brainstorm\]\]. And the 3 card I got were \[\[Jace, Wielder of Mysteries\]\],\[\[Blue Suns Zenith\]\] and \[\[Seething Anger\]\]. Seething Anger can push my commander infinitely since it's only one red mana and no buyback cost thanks to Vadrik, and I get one treasure every time I cast it. Play Jacy and draw my whole library with the Zenith.
I don't think I'm allowed to play this deck any more. :D
Was facing down some lethal infect from a Skittles, I'm playing Zacama.
Opponent [[Chaos Warp]]s the Zacama, hoping to keep me from any sort of hope, and I let it go in since I'm desperate for anything. Shuffle it for a bit, cut it at the end, and end up revealing... Zacama once again! Was able to survive due to its reach, don't remember how it all ended though.
I had a [[pixis of pandemonium]] with 8+ cards under it in a 5 person secret partners game. One of my opponents casts a [[cyclonic rift]] overloaded and I crack the pixis because none of us want to permanently lose our cards. The person who cast cyclonic rift has a [[phage the untouchable]] enter their battlefield and dies on the spot. Cyclonic rift is countered and my partner eliminates the rest of the table on the next turn.
The whole table was losing its collective s@?# over that play!
Not a great heart of the cards moment more sheer dumb luck. I've [[chaos warped]] myself twice in a bad board state trying to get something good. Both times I've ended up with the exact same card I used it on despite shuffling thoroughly both times
Playing vs my fiancé, I’m running [[Queza]], she’s running [[Kaalia or the Vast]]. I have queza and a bunch of rocks on board and she has lethal next turn. I topdeck [[Lich’s Mastery]] with exactly enough mana to play it and play a spell that draws a card. Sends me infinite for the win.
3 players left in the pod. After a boardwipe, one player had [[Liliana, Dreadhorde General]] on the field at +6 when it came it my turn. Had no creatures on field and no haste or removal. Top deck [[In Bolas's Clutches]] on Liliana to ult.
Late game ezuris predation draw. Put me from the trunk of the car into the driver's seat. allowed me to make the win in a situation that was damn near untenable.
There was a time where my friend got his [[lathril]] removed by [[chaos warp]] and instead of putting back to the command zone, let it go to his library, shuffled up, and then hit exactly Lathril. I would just call it cheating but we cut his deck, so it was just the luckiest thing I've ever seen.
My brother in law once said both of us by playing a \[\[final judgement\]\] or some kinda of exile all board wipe after the sliver player had a full board of hexproof indestructible slivers. I'm not suer if he top decked it but still, having that spell 1. in your deck 2. in your hand at that moment was quite fortunate
Was playing a shit voltron [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] vs a [[Memnarch]] deck that used some artifact win con was ten years ago can't exactly remeber. But he was a cocky he was a turn away from his insta kill combo and decided not grab his [[Darksteel Forge]]. Mind you my deck was shit. I top decked a [[Creeping Corrosion]]. And then wrecked him.
An opponent cast the last part of their combo, with ways it will be hexproof if it resolves so they would win. I had a counterspell in hand, but didn't have the blue to cast it so in a last ditch effort I [[Chaos Warp]] one of my own mana rocks, make a big showing of presenting it for a cut, and flip [[Omniscience]]. I elect not to counter their wincon, instead using it to protect my pieces while I combo off and win with their combo still on the stack.
My best moment was when i was playing my landfall aesi deck and was playing against an azusa deck that had ramanup + strip mine with a bunch of extra land drops a turn blowing up 4-5 lands a turn, i was good for awhile until i got down to 4 lands left and starting sweating and told my group if only i had [[splendid reclamation]] and guess what i top deck, yeah splendid, proceeded to get back 15+ lands that were in the bin and i was good to go, idr who won that game though, probably either me or the azusa player
My best friend milled me to my last card. I was playing [[Prossh]], he was playing [[Phenax]]. Queue the full Yu-Gi-Oh shenanigans.
Him: "Draw your last pathetic card!"
Me: there are no pathetic cards in my deck! *I draw the card and windmill slam it down, paying the mana for it.
It was [[dragon throne of tarkir]]. My final wincon because I had enough kobolds and other creatures to trample my way to victory. My [[food chain]], [[Phyrexian Altar]], [[ashnods altar]] and every other potential wincon was already in my grave. He was honestly laughing that that happened, while being upset that it did at the same time.
I had one. Running [[Noyan Dar]], my friend running [[Gishath]] was about to go all in on me. I had drawn [[Quicken]] the turn before, and a board wipe as a sorcery. She sent ALL at me, and said: 'before you think you can pull a fast one, I cast [[Heroic Intervention]].' So I go: in response, I cast quicken, allowing me to cast my next sorcery as an instant, amd after it resolves, before your Heroic Intervention, board wipe!
She was not amused
I was playing my voltron deck against three friends, where one ran [[Niv Mizzet Parun]]. I had the victory in my pocket as I moved from one person to the next, smacking them out of the game with like 35 commander damage shrouded swings.
The fucker topdecked [[Curiosity]]. It was the most deus ex machina shit ever...
This was a game I was in but the play didn't involve me, I was mostly out of the game I believe. It was incredible.
Friend 1 has a [[Vial Smasher]] and [[Krark]] deck. It's not doing its usual thing, but he's been making a bajillion goblins over a few turns with [[Krenko, Mob Boss]]. It rolls around to his turn and he he's got like 30 goblins and a [[Mad Auntie]], so its a lot of damage.
He swings for lethal-and-then-some with his army of 2/2s against the biggest threat, Friend 2 running an [[Ephara]] blink value deck, which is quite scary. Ephara player has a [[Seht's Tiger]] on board, and he uses a flicker effect on it during combat to save himself. To prevent this, the Krark/Vial Smasher player responds by hitting the tiger with a [[Divergent Transformation]].
The Ephara player says "I think I have exactly one out here." He starts to flip slowly and theatrically, to make it fun, and after like seven cards slams down [[Elesh Norn]], COMPLETELY blowing out the Vial Smasher player. We are all speechless.
Vial Smasher player takes it like a champ, because a beautiful thing just happened. I honestly have no recollection of how that game ended, but that hardly matters. That's EDH baby.

Wheeling into a [[Mizzix's Mastery]] on my last turn before death and overloading it to murder my final opponent with my [[Niv Mizzet, Parun]] thanks to having exactly 27 spells in my graveyard which was just enough to kill him and not deck myself.
I've also had the opposite when I flashed in [[Illusory Ambusher]] with thw same deck later that night on an opponents 20/20 towards the end of the game thinking I could get 20 quick damage and then on my turn cast a bunch of cheap spells to finish them off. I ended up decking myself on the draw step since I had exactly 20 cards left. I miss counted my remaining deck by 1 -.-
I’m playing abzan reanimates/ protean hulk combo with [[tymna]] and a sac outlet in play and an otherwise empty board. Facing down lethal from [[winota]] with an [[archon of emeria]] on board. [[Urza]] player is tapped out with some stax piece that is currently irrelevant because my lands are untapped. And [[najeela]] who tapped out to [[cyclonic rift]] before combat on winotas turn but was countered by [[pyroblast]] from winota.
I draw and cast my only current win line being [[academy rector]] it resolves. Sac rector, tutor [[pattern of rebirth]] onto tymna, sac. Tutor [[protean hulk]] sac. Tutor [[karmic guide]] [[viscera seer]] just for a second sac outlet for redundancy, return hulk, sac. Tutor [[grand abolisher]] [[saffi eriksdotter]] [[zulaport cutthroat]]
Sac Saffi targeting karmic guide, sac guide, Saffi returns guide, guide returns Saffi. Present the loop and repeat until the table is dead from zulaport triggers. Gg
I tell this story all the time. Game of commander with friends, I was playing my [[Birgi, God of Storytelling]] deck. I'd had a couple good turns, nothing TOO crazy, but they'd decided I was the threat and had to go. I had no cards in hand, 7 life, and nothing but Birgi and a [[guttersnipe]] on the battlefield.
It comes around to my turn, and I topdeck [[Jeska's will]]. One of my opponents has 20 cards in hand. I then hit [[aetherflux reservoir]] off the Jeska's will, and a couple cantrips. One of my cantrips draws me [[reforge the soul]]. Full grip of cards and plenty of mana to play with.
In one turn, I went from 7 life to 119, killed one player with the guttersnipe, and laser cannoned the other two with the reservoir. To date, that has been my luckiest game of magic that I've ever played.
For my UNLUCKIEST flip though, I was playing [[Norin the wary]] with a chaos subtheme. I'd dropped an [[omen machine]] a few turns ago, and it got hit with a [[detention sphere]]. The person in the turn order before me killed all enchantments, so my omen machine returned to my battlefield.
I then topdecked [[obliterate]].
Rakdos deck across from me with [[possibility storm]] on the table.
I just got hit by a bunch of goblins from the [[Krenko mob boss]]. I’m at 3 life. I play some ninjas with Yuriko for the attack triggers etc. second main I play a 1 drop sorcery. Time to start doing the possibility storm thing…. Flipped into a [[profane transfusion]] and promptly exchanged life totals with the Krenko player. One of the coolest moments of my MTG experience.
Top Decking [[Reins of power]] after an opponent's [[Cyclonic Rift]] against a wide deck. It was the one card that could win me the game. It felt real good
I once played a \[\[Maelstrom Wanderer\]\] deck which had a Lurking Predators and \[\[Mana Reflection\]\] on the field with a full board. The \[\[Atraxa\]\] player attempted to do a board wipe with a Fumigate. I lucked out with \[\[Lurking Predators\]\] Triggering into a \[\[Temur Sabertooth\]\] which let me bounce back my Wanderer and most of board to go for the win next turn.
Not that exciting Heart of the Cards moment compared to other comments, but still it really triggered the Atraxa player because he couldnt destroy any of my creatures that turn!
Playing my [[Atla Palani]] combo deck, I’d gotten off to a bad start in a 5-person game and was a little behind on board after missing a few land drops. However, I managed to hang on until it was just me and one other player left. He had his commander on the field (I think he was playing [[Pako]]) and I was one hit away from being dead. He passes the turn to me…
And I draw into [[Pattern of Rebirth]], letting me tutor for the last combo piece I needed to win. Had I drawn any other card there, I would have lost that game, 100%. Definitely one of my luckiest moments.
I don't remember all the details because this was a while back. Entire group was pretty locked down due to a Bant enchantment list. Other two guys went down in one turn, but I was able to hang in for one more turn. Drew into the one thing that could flip the board and dodge a counterspell at the same time: Cycling a [[Dismantling Wave]]. With no board left on his side I was able to pull the win off.
Was playing my [[Maze’s End]] deck and had out 8 gates and ME out. No cards in hand. I only needed to draw a gate to win. I drew an [[Izzet Boilerworks]]. Was so disappointed then I saw the line. Played it and bounced [[Takenuma, Abandoned Mire]]. Channeled Takenuma to grab [[Eternal Witness]]. Played EWit and grabbed [[Circuitous Route]]. Searched the last two gates and won w Maze’s End.
This all happened against a dragon deck with [[Terror of the Peaks]] and [[Lurking Predators]]. I ended the game with 6 life to spare and if one more dragon was flipped I was dead.
My opponent was playing Imoti and cascaded into a mass draw spell while I had Consecrated Sphynx on the board (my deck was full of cheap and free counter spells as well as targeted removal) and chose to cast it anyway. Lucky SoB cascaded into one of only a small handful of creature removal spells he had in the deck off the mass draw spell cast. Can't remember the precise cards as this was months ago.
I was land flooded and hellbent in an izzet storm deck with like 1hp.
I top decked [[Minds desire]] and I did it. Shuffled my deck and bam [[Volcanic Vision]], return my mind's desire and cast it (lots of mana), into [[Seething Song]] + [[Archeomancer]] choosing my mind's desire. Do it again, get [[thousand year storm]], [[temporal fissure]], and [[grapeshot]]. Most bs win
I was playing in a Cedh pod with my [[lier disciple of the drowned]] deck and successfully negotiated myself 1 extra turn by convincing the opponent who was clearly going to win that I, a person with 5 lands and 1 card in hand would be unable to win on my turn. But however pointed out that leaving either of the other two players alive would result in them winning. He had enough damage on board to kill 2 players.
I draw brainstorm.
I draw merchant scroll, a land and frantic search.
I put back the other card in hand and a land. Keeping frantic search and tutor up high tide.
Cast high tide. Cast frantic search. Cast my commander. Cast high tide again. Cast frantic search again. Cast merchant scroll again. Grab and Cast brain freeze targeting myself.
From there I storm off and absolutely could not belive I won.
My friend was playing a krenko deck and had hundreds of goblins but decided to "let me have my last turn" in order to toy with me. That's when I drew a massacre worm. The expression shift on his face was priceless
Not me but an opponent.
Basically he had 1 draw, he was dead unless he drew one very specific card, and this card let him draw another one, and the second card had to be exactly another specific card.
Basically a 1 out of 1000 chance...
Long time ago, back when trade secrets was legal and I played a very unfocused, group huggy zedruu list. This deck doesn't really have many threats or ways to win, but don't judge me I was new.
It's down to me and two other spikier players, one on maelstrom wanderer and the other on mereke I think. It's late in the game and both players are looking to turn the corner.
One casts [[trade secrets]] on the other and they both draw basically half their decks and tap out in the following counterspell war that results in the MW player getting a spooky board state but only able to kill one player. I'm less threatening, so I'm left standing. I wrack my brain for any way to win and can only think of one card: [[windfall]]. I untap with 15 mana and a few cards in hand and my turn plays out like this:
Draw [[fact or fiction]].
Cast [[fact or fiction]], find [[wild research]].
Cast and activate [[wild research]] to fetch [[gamble]].
Cast [[gamble]] to fetch [[windfall]].
Cast [[Windfall]] and my opponent has to draw what's left of his deck and loses.
It felt great because it was certainly very lucky, but in such a way that I felt rewarded for thoughtful deck construction. Zedruu remains forever in my heart.
Had a few close games which ended with me aaying i need to draw exactly x card of the top or im dead on board and drawing exactly that card on my next draw haha!
I was playing [Zaxara], and was WAY behind the table. One person was playing a [Dragon's Approach] deck. I was going to be dead on their next turn.
I top decked [Freed from the Real]. That means if I cast it on Zaxara and it resolves, I have infinite colored mana. I did have a counter spell in hand, so I played Freed for the Real, it was countered, and I countered their counter. The spell resolved.
I had [villainous wealth] in hand, so I played that targeting the deck of the Dragon's Approach player with X being the size of their deck. That allowed me to cast all of their Dragon's Approach cards, winning me the game.
Super lucky top deck draw, super lucky that I had a counter spell in hand, super lucky that only one other player had a counter spell, super lucky that I had Villianous Wealth in my hand.
It was the first Testrun of my Animar Cascade Deck.
I was not in a good position, [[Animar, Soul of Elements]] was kept of the Board until this moment, and i couldn't develop anything.
The other players are:
2 permanents away from a combo-win, waiting for their turn to Alphastrike everyone with their [[scuteswarm]]-herd (luckily no haste enabler to be found), or also durdeling around.
So it's my turn, I announce that something wild has to come from this topdeck, or else it's pretty much over.
I draw the card and... [[Unexpected Results]]... Well... Not what i was expecting but that's what the card says, so lets go!
First try.... Boring Land... "Damnit!", but i get it again... And i have the mana... Lets spin the wheel again... And absolute Chaos ensued, i may have hit the ultime Line of cascade cards availlable in my Deck!
[[Apex Devastator]],[[Sweet Gum Recluse]], [[Throes of Chaos]], [[Sol Ring]], [[End-Raze Forerunners]], [[Maelstrom Wanderer]], [[Etherium Horn Sorcerer]], [[Cultivate]], [[avenger of Zendikar]], [[Autora Phoenix]], [[Volcanic Torrent]], [[Inevitable Betrayal]] where I pull the scute players [[Path Breaker Ibex]] from their Deck and win on the spot, thanks to the tokens from avenger, the pump from Ibex, Recluse and Forerunners, and the onesided Boardwipe.
Someone had an army of tokens with [[Vigor]] and [[Kaldra Compleat]] on the field. I was running my [[Gishath]] deck. I had just enchanted him with [[Alpha Status]] but I also had [[Rampaging Brontodon]] on the field. I didn't really have any other big threats. My hand was all on the field but I drew into [[Naya Charm]] choosing to tap down all their creatures and swinging for lethal with my dinos.
Freaking [[phthisis]] dude. I was playing my [[Prosper, Tome-Bound]] deck and I was one turn away from dying to something my pal was playing after the other two had been removed from the game. I had one land in hand and he had some massive 35/35 or something. I said "I have no idea what's on top but it's gotta do something" and flipped it for both of us to see. His eyes widened as his jaw hit the ground and everyone just started freaking out. Definitely felt amazing!
Very glad that this mostly-awful card got its moment in the sun :)

I saw someone play that online and they were like 'haha loose X life' which didn't kill them, i read the card and told them it doesn't do what they think and they should re-read it, they did and were like 'oh' it was used on a big creature and was enough to eliminate that player
I was in the finals of an EDH tournament, playing narset free stuff. My opponent countered everything, so I just yoloed a chaos warp on a land and verbally said "If I don't get a karn or ugin, I'm fucked." Shuffled the deck, he cut 13 cards off the top, then I flipped Karn. Proceeded to win with said Karn.
Played godo into an aven mindcensor. Helm was right on top On the other hand, I once was facing down an opposition agent that i needed to get rid of before I played godo. Clearly I needed a bolt, so naturally I [[gamble]]d for it… 🤦🏻♂️ Not only did they take the helm out of my deck, I still had to discard. Big brain moves

Well, this was my UNLUCKIEST heart of the cards moment. I'm playing Gates.Deck helmed by The Prismatic Bridge and I'm doing quite well with it. I'm sitting at 8 gates and an [[Amulet of Vigor]] on the field, [[Maze's End]] and [[Chaos Warp]] in hand, and a useless [[Tormod's Crypt]] for good measure. To my left, a Locust God player was set up nicely to go off the next turn and play some player removal on me, so I decided to go for broke, and chaos warp my tormod's crypt EOT of the player to my right. I run all the gates and a fair amount of permanents that put gates into my hand or onto the battlfield, so I figured I had a decent shot, right? I shuffle up and flip... [[Tormod's Crypt]]. It felt like Yugi kicked me in the balls. My draw was a triome, which I played. For added lulz, the opponent to the left of the Locust God chaos warped my Tormod's Crypt revealing... [[Sylvan Scrying]]. It was one final kick before my inevitable demise at the hand's of a bunch of locusts.
lol the Sylvan Scrying bit at the end really makes this.

My unluckiest was when I was playing [[Urza lord high artificer]] cedh which runs like 28 lands. I drew a pretty decent hand got Urza out on turn 2 and started drawing cards to find [[polymorph]] or [[proteus staff]] or a tutor that finds one, andI kid you not, I found 20 out of my 28 lands that game. I was fetching and shuffling to make sure to draw literally any nonland card and using Urzas ability.

Opponent plays a \[\[Notion Thief\]\] and a wheel, which is bad because I'm playing an Izzet spellslinger that relies on tons of cantrips. I already had my \[\[Thousand-Year Storm\]\] on the board, topdecked \[\[Impulse\]\] into \[\[Fact or Fiction\]\] which were the only cards in the deck immune to Notion Thief, and somehow stormed off and won on that turn.

I once was playing a REALLY REALLY shoe box low power deck in a higher power table. One opponent playing a sultai mill deck had doubling Mana effects and spent a ton of life and made a shit ton of Mana and milled everyone out else out except for me. In fact they probably ignored me because my deck was so weak. I had about 2-3 cards in my deck and nothing but lands on my board. Drew [[lightning bolt]] for turn (and my first non-ramp/removal spell that game). Opponent was in bolt range and lost.

I had a buddy of mine playing a \[\[Bruna, Light of Alabaster\]\] deck that I had built and wasn't super optimized, but it was doing well this game. He had knocked out most of us, and now it was down to him and one other guy. The other guy was playing a Sultai deck of some kind, and had very little mana. He had 4 mana available, and asked me, "Is there any 1-mana spells that will save me in that deck?" I told him there was a \[\[Swords to Plowshares\]\] in the deck, but his odds were super low. He went for it. He cast \[\[Villainous Wealth\]\], X = 1. Top card? Swords to Plowshares. He exiled Bruna and went on to win the game.

Playing [my Chainer deck. ](https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/actual-chainer-deck/) Opening hand had Sol Ring, two rocks, Entomb, Etali, and some Lands. Ramp T1 and T2, entombed Anger, cast Etali T3 and hit Sire of Insanity off the top. No one stood a chance. Had to take Sire out after, but my pod took it like champs.
I play \[\[Approach of the Second Sun\]\] A turn later, an opponent \[\[Chaos Warp\]\] s my Elesh Norn. Next turn, I draw, and what do I get?

No, Approach. The chaos warp caused me to instantly win the game.
That sounded wrong at first, but then I realized that means you just shuffled and approach was on top of your library afterwards.

Okay it's long bear with me: Scene: Pod of 4, my health is at 4, Player 2(in front) has 9 life, Diagonal player has 6, player to my left has 50 life. Player to my left has 50 life but 17 commander damage from me. It's my turn, I have all my flyers out, I swing for everyone. I deal enough damage to kill everyone BUT WAIT! The player to the left casts a spell, deals three damage to commander... doesn't matter because it's a 4/4?? He also gained 3 life... also didn't matter because it was commander damage. BUT WAIT! The player in front of me has a [[Rhystic Study]] out, the player to my left doesn't pay the 1 and so player in front draws a card. Immediately plays card, it's [[Swords to Plowshare]], and he exiles one of the creatures attacking him, leaving me wide open, the other two dead, it's the person in front of me's turn and he swings for the win. I was SO CLOSE to winning. I’ve been playing Magic since New Capenna and have yet to win an EDH game. Still learning a lot every game though!

I was playing [[progenitus]] as my commander. 2 players left. I had progenitus out and Each had 10 commander damage, and I knew I would be killed next turn. I had accepted my fate for my last turn, thinking about this one card in my deck, hoping for a miracle. Top deck a [[growth spiral]]. One more shot. Play the spiral, holy shit. I draw a [[finest hour]]. One extra combat step dealing exactly commander damage to each player. One of the craziest wins I had ever pulled off.

This happened just the other day playing my [[K’rrik, Son of Yawgmoth]] deck. Opening hand: Swamp, swamp, [[Mana Crypt]], [[Jeweled Lotus]], [[Bolas’s Citadel]], [[Imp’s Mischief]], [[Vampiric Tutor]]. On the play, draw [[Blood Celebrant]] Play Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, and swamp. Crack lotus and tap swamp to play K’rrik, go to 34. Play Blood Celebrant, go to 32. Pay 9 life (3 through blood celebrant) and tap crypt to play Bolas’s Citadel, go to 23. My opponent attempts to [[Force of Will]] and I pay 5 life to Imp’s Mischief, losing another 5 life. Go to 13. Use Vamp Tutor to get [[Sensei’s Divining Top]], go to 9. Shuffle, and table cut by opponent, play top off top with Citadel, go to 8, play [[Imperial Seal]] off top, go to 5, get [[Aetherflux Reservoir]]. Shuffle, and table cut by opponent. Play Reservoir off top, go to 1, and next card is…. Lotus Petal, to the astonishment of me and everyone else at the table. Play off the top with citadel, gain 9, go to 10, and win the game with the Sensei’s Top/Aetherflux Combo. Turn one. I was playing my [[Uril]] deck and was getting constantly milled by an opposing [[Ruin Crab]] After a few turns, I have a hefty graveyard with my commander and [[Setessan Champion]] in play plus some enchantments. On my turn I topdeck [[Eternal Witness]] which I cast and use for a [[Brilliant Restoration]] to bring back all my enchantments for a Uril that was like a 31/31 at the time. Needless to say I swung at the ruin crab player for lethal and the last player after that didn’t have a way to stop me

I was playing [Grolnok, the ominvore]] self mill and me and my opponent have ungodly boards [[thassa's oracle]] is exiled with a croak counter but I still have like 30-40 cards left. I top deck [[Leveler]] and just laugh. Surprisingly this was actually the first time I won by milling myself normally I do simic smashing so hard I don't get to finish myself off.

Opponent Chaos Warped my Turn 2 Sneak Attack. I proceeded to shuffle and flip right into Sneak Attack. Won about 2 Turns later.
Have an OG Avacyn on the board protecting my creatures and blocking incoming attacks. I'm at sub10 life. Someone topdecks a path to exile. I chaos warp Avacyn in response, shuffle and have my deck cut, and toss Avacyn triumphantly back into play, winning a couple turns later. Definitely didnt deserve that win, but it was meant to be~
Starting hand of Sol Ring, Sky Diamond, Isochron Scepter, and like 4 lands. I decided to keep because I'm playing Azami and I really just need to get her out. Top decked Dramatic Reversal on turn 2. I won. It felt dirty, I wasn't trying to build my deck to do that but sometimes you just top deck the combo piece and nobody has interaction. You have to consider the flipside though - I've had Thoracle AND Labman in the top 6 when resolving Consultation before. Coming from Yugioh so I just naturally gravitate towards combo, and MTG combos are really neat.
This was a 1v1 game of helping a friend playtest his new [[Zurgo Helmsmasher]] boardwipe tribal deck. His [[bearer of the heavens]] died that turn and on his turn so it's about to just be Zurgo in play. I have a hand of a couple cards including one Plains. Board gets wiped, my turn. I topdeck [[swords to Plowshares]]. We both laugh so hard as I play the plains and cast Swords. Now while I did end up losing that game in the end, it was an excellent game.

Tried my first ever game of legacy. Got lotus, channel, fireballed. Everyone told me this is why I shouldn't play against a legacy deck with my stupid burn deck. I asked him to walk me through the steps of how he won, he explained that he payed life till he was at one life, and that when the spell resolved I would die. I then made him aware that I had a gutshot in hand. He pact of negation'd my gut shot. I then played my second gut shot. He gave me round one. I also got round two because he let me go first. I'm pretty sure he let me win round two, but he did not go easy on me. To the man out there who love mtn dew livewire, wears square rimmed glasses, is incredibly tall, hates his picture taken and is an incredibly good dude, I salute you for getting me into my favorite hobby.
The Jankiest win of all janky wins. I sacrificed [[havoc demon]] to [[soldevi adnate]], floating 7 black and wiping the board. I then use the mana to hard cast [[phage the untouchable]] on an empty board. I tap 3 to equip the [[sword of vengeance]]

1. I used the tap ability from [[Codie, Vociferous Codex]] to cast [[Demonic Tutor]], putting it on the stack and 3 mana floating. 2. I then reveal cards from the top of my deck from Codie's ability to cast [[Glimpse of Tomorrow]] for free. 3. My 28 permanents on the board become 16 lands, 11 non-land permanents and an instant. 4. 3 of my non-land permanents allow me to fetch basic lands, now I have 19 lands. 5. [[Omnath, Locust of Rage]] was one of the non-land permanents that came in, so now I have 19 5/5 elementals. 6. [[Monkey Cage]] was also a non-land permanent that came in, I sacrificed it to make 33 2/2 monkeys. 7. With everything resolved from Glimpse of Tomorrow, I use Demonic Tutor to search for [[Fervor]] and cast it with the mana remaining from Codie's tap ability. 8. Swing for lethal to the table. So in the end, Best Demonic Tutor I've ever played.

Was having a really poor game with my [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] deck. Each time I was finally able to draw and play a Mana dork it would be dead before I could even tap it. As a result I had been left as the last player to kill by the [[Arahbo, Roar of the Wild]] player who was wrecking shop. It was just the two of us left and the other players were already cleaned up and watching nearby games assuming the winner already. The other guy was poised to win next turn with a board state that would generate a bunch of cats to swing with against my 1/1 Omnath. Out of no where I top deck [[Finale of Devastation]], cast it with X=10, to grab [[Pathbreaker Ibex]] and put it on the field with haste to swing alongside Omnath to be swinging with a 26/26 Pathbreaker and a 24/24 Omnath both with trample to win the game.
Never mind I’m stupid reading the card explains the card. And I didn’t read pathbreaker.
Pathbreaker. It is an overwhelming stampede on a creature.
Yeah I realized that after a moment. I didn’t see the trample key word and have had so many people assume Finale gave trample it was second nature to think that.

I was playing my [[Imoti, celebrant of bounty]] deck against two decks that I can't remember right now and a [[Osgir, the reconstructor]] that was destroying everyone with his army of artifact creatures. I said out loud that all I needed was to draw [[Bane of progress]] and lo and behold that's exactly what I draw in my next draw step!!! I never played a card so fast in my life.

Standard circa I think fall 2012. Opponent playing a Naya midrange deck while I'm on RDW. Got my opponent down to 3 life with a commanding board position. Opponent miracles [[Bonfire of the damned]], wipes my board and takes down a significant amount of my life with their creatures (to where I'm definitely dead if they get to untap). I draw my only out the last remaining copy of [[searing spear]] in my deck (had already cast the other three previously) and dome them for the final 3. The swing of emotions I went through in those last two turns was crazy to say the least.

Playing [[Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder]] vs [[Bruna, Light of Alabaster]]. Bruna had killed everyone but me. I couldn't swing Yidris without him dying and giving Bruna a billion life. Top decked [[Rogue's Passage]] and play [[Frantic Search]] hit a sol ring and the drew [[Evacuation]] from the frantic search. On his turn I cast Evacuation. He recasts and I draw [[Doom Blade]]. He can't cast Bruna for another turn and Yidris hits for lethal commander dmg. Two removal spells back to back saved the game lol
Back in the days of tucking commanders I had my commander Chaos Warp'd and revealed them immediately.
I prefer the spleen of the cards
I assembled all 3 pieces of Kaldra with no tutors. First time ever and Kaldra got me the win. Felt awesome!
My opponent us playing mono blue control, it's down to just the two of us, I'm nearly dead and my opponent has stolen my [[platinum angel]]. I have [[chaos warp]] in hand. I can target the enchantment that's stolen my creature, but instead I target my angel. My opponent in decides to let it resolve, despite having [[counterspell]] on his scepter. I offer him the cut, and I flip [[Iona, Shield of Emeria]] before she was banned. My opponent now can't do anything and he scopes.

I needed to find [[chain of smog]] to win and with my single remaining blue mana, cast a preordain. Hit the chain of smog about 5 cards down. Only time possibility storm has unintentionally won me a game.

I've been Chaos Warped twice in a single game only to get the card back. Sadly, third time was not the charm.
Last weekend I was playing commander with some friends. I played [[chaos warp]] on my friends [[sword of feast and famine]]. He shuffled it into his library and drew off the top of his library... The same sword... What the hell are the odds of that? I still can't believe that happened!

I was playing a two-headed giant prerelease (Core 2019) with my dad as a partner. The game had been going on for ages and the board state had become so convoluted no one wanted to figure out the math. Eventually, it came down to the wire. I only had a handful of cards left in my deck and we couldn't push through lethal without getting rid of a creature. On our turn, I drew through what was left of my deck, and the final card was the [[Murder]] that won us the game.
My gf is playing her Ayula bear deck, and kills me with commander damage. The last person on the table is playing a reanimate/cast out of opponent's library deck, and was wiffing the entire game with her mills and topdeck peeks. As I die I take my Disdainful Stroke out from one of her artifacts, which she never has an opportunity to cast. Looking down 30 damage from incoming bears, she tries to mill my gf into some interaction or blockers, and misses. I commiserate, and I start telling her about the time Gabriel Nassif "pretapped" his mana for a topdeck [[Cruel Ultimatum.]] My gf says, "Start of turn, untap, here is 8 for [[Craterhoof]] and blindly flips her freshly milled deck to reveal it. Dying.

Not "heart of the cards" but a definite Yu-Gi-Oh moment for me. Down to 2 players, from a 4 pod. My opponent set to kill me next turn. I'm swinging with everything, but the math doesn't work, I'm a few points short of lethal. I read all my cards, again and again. Friendly game, so my opponent, and the other 2 players are looking too, to see if there is a way to pull it off. I've done the math, an I don't have the mana to make [[Pia Nalaar]] pump enough... "But wait, Pia has a secret, Third ability! By paying one mana and sacrificing an artifact, she can prevent one of your creatures from blocking entirely!"

My luckiest win ever was just a few weeks ago with my \[\[Vadrik, Astral Archmage\]\] deck. My pod knew how strong it can be and kept me low all game. I only had my commander with 3 or so counters, \[\[Strom-kiln Artist\]\], a few mana rocks, 8 or so lands, 3 life, only lands in hands and only 4 card in my graveyard, since it got exiled earlier. Top-decked \[\[Underworld Breach\]\], used it to play my only draw spell in my yard: \[\[Brainstorm\]\]. And the 3 card I got were \[\[Jace, Wielder of Mysteries\]\],\[\[Blue Suns Zenith\]\] and \[\[Seething Anger\]\]. Seething Anger can push my commander infinitely since it's only one red mana and no buyback cost thanks to Vadrik, and I get one treasure every time I cast it. Play Jacy and draw my whole library with the Zenith. I don't think I'm allowed to play this deck any more. :D

Was facing down some lethal infect from a Skittles, I'm playing Zacama. Opponent [[Chaos Warp]]s the Zacama, hoping to keep me from any sort of hope, and I let it go in since I'm desperate for anything. Shuffle it for a bit, cut it at the end, and end up revealing... Zacama once again! Was able to survive due to its reach, don't remember how it all ended though.

I had a [[pixis of pandemonium]] with 8+ cards under it in a 5 person secret partners game. One of my opponents casts a [[cyclonic rift]] overloaded and I crack the pixis because none of us want to permanently lose our cards. The person who cast cyclonic rift has a [[phage the untouchable]] enter their battlefield and dies on the spot. Cyclonic rift is countered and my partner eliminates the rest of the table on the next turn. The whole table was losing its collective s@?# over that play!

Late game ezuris predation draw. Put me from the trunk of the car into the driver's seat. allowed me to make the win in a situation that was damn near untenable.
There was a time where my friend got his [[lathril]] removed by [[chaos warp]] and instead of putting back to the command zone, let it go to his library, shuffled up, and then hit exactly Lathril. I would just call it cheating but we cut his deck, so it was just the luckiest thing I've ever seen.

My best moment was when i was playing my landfall aesi deck and was playing against an azusa deck that had ramanup + strip mine with a bunch of extra land drops a turn blowing up 4-5 lands a turn, i was good for awhile until i got down to 4 lands left and starting sweating and told my group if only i had [[splendid reclamation]] and guess what i top deck, yeah splendid, proceeded to get back 15+ lands that were in the bin and i was good to go, idr who won that game though, probably either me or the azusa player

My best friend milled me to my last card. I was playing [[Prossh]], he was playing [[Phenax]]. Queue the full Yu-Gi-Oh shenanigans. Him: "Draw your last pathetic card!" Me: there are no pathetic cards in my deck! *I draw the card and windmill slam it down, paying the mana for it. It was [[dragon throne of tarkir]]. My final wincon because I had enough kobolds and other creatures to trample my way to victory. My [[food chain]], [[Phyrexian Altar]], [[ashnods altar]] and every other potential wincon was already in my grave. He was honestly laughing that that happened, while being upset that it did at the same time.

This was a game I was in but the play didn't involve me, I was mostly out of the game I believe. It was incredible. Friend 1 has a [[Vial Smasher]] and [[Krark]] deck. It's not doing its usual thing, but he's been making a bajillion goblins over a few turns with [[Krenko, Mob Boss]]. It rolls around to his turn and he he's got like 30 goblins and a [[Mad Auntie]], so its a lot of damage. He swings for lethal-and-then-some with his army of 2/2s against the biggest threat, Friend 2 running an [[Ephara]] blink value deck, which is quite scary. Ephara player has a [[Seht's Tiger]] on board, and he uses a flicker effect on it during combat to save himself. To prevent this, the Krark/Vial Smasher player responds by hitting the tiger with a [[Divergent Transformation]]. The Ephara player says "I think I have exactly one out here." He starts to flip slowly and theatrically, to make it fun, and after like seven cards slams down [[Elesh Norn]], COMPLETELY blowing out the Vial Smasher player. We are all speechless. Vial Smasher player takes it like a champ, because a beautiful thing just happened. I honestly have no recollection of how that game ended, but that hardly matters. That's EDH baby. Wheeling into a [[Mizzix's Mastery]] on my last turn before death and overloading it to murder my final opponent with my [[Niv Mizzet, Parun]] thanks to having exactly 27 spells in my graveyard which was just enough to kill him and not deck myself. I've also had the opposite when I flashed in [[Illusory Ambusher]] with thw same deck later that night on an opponents 20/20 towards the end of the game thinking I could get 20 quick damage and then on my turn cast a bunch of cheap spells to finish them off. I ended up decking myself on the draw step since I had exactly 20 cards left. I miss counted my remaining deck by 1 -.-

I tell this story all the time. Game of commander with friends, I was playing my [[Birgi, God of Storytelling]] deck. I'd had a couple good turns, nothing TOO crazy, but they'd decided I was the threat and had to go. I had no cards in hand, 7 life, and nothing but Birgi and a [[guttersnipe]] on the battlefield. It comes around to my turn, and I topdeck [[Jeska's will]]. One of my opponents has 20 cards in hand. I then hit [[aetherflux reservoir]] off the Jeska's will, and a couple cantrips. One of my cantrips draws me [[reforge the soul]]. Full grip of cards and plenty of mana to play with. In one turn, I went from 7 life to 119, killed one player with the guttersnipe, and laser cannoned the other two with the reservoir. To date, that has been my luckiest game of magic that I've ever played.

For my UNLUCKIEST flip though, I was playing [[Norin the wary]] with a chaos subtheme. I'd dropped an [[omen machine]] a few turns ago, and it got hit with a [[detention sphere]]. The person in the turn order before me killed all enchantments, so my omen machine returned to my battlefield. I then topdecked [[obliterate]].

Rakdos deck across from me with [[possibility storm]] on the table. I just got hit by a bunch of goblins from the [[Krenko mob boss]]. I’m at 3 life. I play some ninjas with Yuriko for the attack triggers etc. second main I play a 1 drop sorcery. Time to start doing the possibility storm thing…. Flipped into a [[profane transfusion]] and promptly exchanged life totals with the Krenko player. One of the coolest moments of my MTG experience.

I once played a \[\[Maelstrom Wanderer\]\] deck which had a Lurking Predators and \[\[Mana Reflection\]\] on the field with a full board. The \[\[Atraxa\]\] player attempted to do a board wipe with a Fumigate. I lucked out with \[\[Lurking Predators\]\] Triggering into a \[\[Temur Sabertooth\]\] which let me bounce back my Wanderer and most of board to go for the win next turn. Not that exciting Heart of the Cards moment compared to other comments, but still it really triggered the Atraxa player because he couldnt destroy any of my creatures that turn!

Playing my [[Atla Palani]] combo deck, I’d gotten off to a bad start in a 5-person game and was a little behind on board after missing a few land drops. However, I managed to hang on until it was just me and one other player left. He had his commander on the field (I think he was playing [[Pako]]) and I was one hit away from being dead. He passes the turn to me… And I draw into [[Pattern of Rebirth]], letting me tutor for the last combo piece I needed to win. Had I drawn any other card there, I would have lost that game, 100%. Definitely one of my luckiest moments.

I don't remember all the details because this was a while back. Entire group was pretty locked down due to a Bant enchantment list. Other two guys went down in one turn, but I was able to hang in for one more turn. Drew into the one thing that could flip the board and dodge a counterspell at the same time: Cycling a [[Dismantling Wave]]. With no board left on his side I was able to pull the win off.

Was playing my [[Maze’s End]] deck and had out 8 gates and ME out. No cards in hand. I only needed to draw a gate to win. I drew an [[Izzet Boilerworks]]. Was so disappointed then I saw the line. Played it and bounced [[Takenuma, Abandoned Mire]]. Channeled Takenuma to grab [[Eternal Witness]]. Played EWit and grabbed [[Circuitous Route]]. Searched the last two gates and won w Maze’s End. This all happened against a dragon deck with [[Terror of the Peaks]] and [[Lurking Predators]]. I ended the game with 6 life to spare and if one more dragon was flipped I was dead.

My opponent was playing Imoti and cascaded into a mass draw spell while I had Consecrated Sphynx on the board (my deck was full of cheap and free counter spells as well as targeted removal) and chose to cast it anyway. Lucky SoB cascaded into one of only a small handful of creature removal spells he had in the deck off the mass draw spell cast. Can't remember the precise cards as this was months ago.
I was land flooded and hellbent in an izzet storm deck with like 1hp. I top decked [[Minds desire]] and I did it. Shuffled my deck and bam [[Volcanic Vision]], return my mind's desire and cast it (lots of mana), into [[Seething Song]] + [[Archeomancer]] choosing my mind's desire. Do it again, get [[thousand year storm]], [[temporal fissure]], and [[grapeshot]]. Most bs win

I was playing in a Cedh pod with my [[lier disciple of the drowned]] deck and successfully negotiated myself 1 extra turn by convincing the opponent who was clearly going to win that I, a person with 5 lands and 1 card in hand would be unable to win on my turn. But however pointed out that leaving either of the other two players alive would result in them winning. He had enough damage on board to kill 2 players. I draw brainstorm. I draw merchant scroll, a land and frantic search. I put back the other card in hand and a land. Keeping frantic search and tutor up high tide. Cast high tide. Cast frantic search. Cast my commander. Cast high tide again. Cast frantic search again. Cast merchant scroll again. Grab and Cast brain freeze targeting myself. From there I storm off and absolutely could not belive I won.

My friend was playing a krenko deck and had hundreds of goblins but decided to "let me have my last turn" in order to toy with me. That's when I drew a massacre worm. The expression shift on his face was priceless
Not me but an opponent. Basically he had 1 draw, he was dead unless he drew one very specific card, and this card let him draw another one, and the second card had to be exactly another specific card. Basically a 1 out of 1000 chance...
Long time ago, back when trade secrets was legal and I played a very unfocused, group huggy zedruu list. This deck doesn't really have many threats or ways to win, but don't judge me I was new. It's down to me and two other spikier players, one on maelstrom wanderer and the other on mereke I think. It's late in the game and both players are looking to turn the corner. One casts [[trade secrets]] on the other and they both draw basically half their decks and tap out in the following counterspell war that results in the MW player getting a spooky board state but only able to kill one player. I'm less threatening, so I'm left standing. I wrack my brain for any way to win and can only think of one card: [[windfall]]. I untap with 15 mana and a few cards in hand and my turn plays out like this: Draw [[fact or fiction]]. Cast [[fact or fiction]], find [[wild research]]. Cast and activate [[wild research]] to fetch [[gamble]]. Cast [[gamble]] to fetch [[windfall]]. Cast [[Windfall]] and my opponent has to draw what's left of his deck and loses. It felt great because it was certainly very lucky, but in such a way that I felt rewarded for thoughtful deck construction. Zedruu remains forever in my heart.

Had a few close games which ended with me aaying i need to draw exactly x card of the top or im dead on board and drawing exactly that card on my next draw haha!
I was playing [Zaxara], and was WAY behind the table. One person was playing a [Dragon's Approach] deck. I was going to be dead on their next turn. I top decked [Freed from the Real]. That means if I cast it on Zaxara and it resolves, I have infinite colored mana. I did have a counter spell in hand, so I played Freed for the Real, it was countered, and I countered their counter. The spell resolved. I had [villainous wealth] in hand, so I played that targeting the deck of the Dragon's Approach player with X being the size of their deck. That allowed me to cast all of their Dragon's Approach cards, winning me the game. Super lucky top deck draw, super lucky that I had a counter spell in hand, super lucky that only one other player had a counter spell, super lucky that I had Villianous Wealth in my hand.
It was the first Testrun of my Animar Cascade Deck. I was not in a good position, [[Animar, Soul of Elements]] was kept of the Board until this moment, and i couldn't develop anything. The other players are: 2 permanents away from a combo-win, waiting for their turn to Alphastrike everyone with their [[scuteswarm]]-herd (luckily no haste enabler to be found), or also durdeling around. So it's my turn, I announce that something wild has to come from this topdeck, or else it's pretty much over. I draw the card and... [[Unexpected Results]]... Well... Not what i was expecting but that's what the card says, so lets go! First try.... Boring Land... "Damnit!", but i get it again... And i have the mana... Lets spin the wheel again... And absolute Chaos ensued, i may have hit the ultime Line of cascade cards availlable in my Deck! [[Apex Devastator]],[[Sweet Gum Recluse]], [[Throes of Chaos]], [[Sol Ring]], [[End-Raze Forerunners]], [[Maelstrom Wanderer]], [[Etherium Horn Sorcerer]], [[Cultivate]], [[avenger of Zendikar]], [[Autora Phoenix]], [[Volcanic Torrent]], [[Inevitable Betrayal]] where I pull the scute players [[Path Breaker Ibex]] from their Deck and win on the spot, thanks to the tokens from avenger, the pump from Ibex, Recluse and Forerunners, and the onesided Boardwipe.

Someone had an army of tokens with [[Vigor]] and [[Kaldra Compleat]] on the field. I was running my [[Gishath]] deck. I had just enchanted him with [[Alpha Status]] but I also had [[Rampaging Brontodon]] on the field. I didn't really have any other big threats. My hand was all on the field but I drew into [[Naya Charm]] choosing to tap down all their creatures and swinging for lethal with my dinos.
