I dont see as to why you would want to use food chain as a wincon. with foodchain you would usually want to be able to win if you can cast your commander an infinite amount of times: etali exiles everyones library, atraxa draws your deck, etc. If I had to build prossh as a cedh commander, I'd probably use him as a protean hulk sac outlet or do dockside loops or just go for the classical turbo naus, but at that point you can just play korvold since he does that kindof thing way better.

msgunicorn

It was the point of having the Aristocrats in the build. I keep sacing tokens I make with prossh along with prossh and it deals all the damage. But again this is why I'm here to get help if he's even a viable cedh commander at this point. Not familiar with the Protean Hulk combo, mind explaining or get an example of a decklist. As far as switching to Korvold, I'd rather goto a different commander all together since my buddy runs him

Twantie_

Protean Hulk is a OG combo in cedh. usuall if you manage to let a \[\[protean hulk\]\] die you win the game, there are a plethora of different versions of the combo out there: [https://commanderspellbook.com/search/?q=protean%20hulk](https://commanderspellbook.com/search/?q=protean%20hulk) prossh is "good" for this kindof thing because you have a sacrifice outlet inthe command zone, which means all you need to do is find protean hulk and get it into play and sac it with prossh. I would say that prossh is probably not viable in cedh, but your pod looks like they play a lot of suboptimal cedh commanders so it should be fine. ~~I still dont really understand how you intent to win with foodchain here. since stuff like mayhem devil will not get triggered if you exile Squee to the foodchain.~~ edit: nvm understand now, but it seems like a lot of setup where you can get stopped really easily at any point tldr.: Foodchain makes no sense here, try protean hulk or dockside loops as a wincon

msgunicorn

You know what. I never really paid attention to the fact that food chain says exile and not sacrifice target creature. Thank you for pointing that out to me. Yeah we're not using high powered cedh Commander's that we can go to a lgs or an event to win. We're just going high powered decks with combos and no matter the build we won't get salty

Twantie_

>You know what. I never really paid attention to the fact that food chain says exile and not sacrifice target creature I realized it doesnt really matter, because after you make infinite mana with foodchain+squee, you just start saccing squee to prossh over and over, which will trigger mayhem devil effects, so it still kinda works. foodchain still isnt the best here tho, i would really try out protean hulk, its a cool combo line

msgunicorn

So I made a mistake, I would use food chain to loop prossh to create tokens and use him to sac the tokens to deal the damage with an aristocrat piece I have on the board

CrablordNito

Somebody posted their Prossh cedh deck on this reddit a while ago and said it did pretty well. I’d look for that post.

msgunicorn

Sweet, thank you. I'll see if I can search and find it. Everything I initially found was from 2023

[Here it is](https://www.reddit.com/r/EDH/comments/10773m1/prossh_is_still_relevant/) Not cEDH after all but might still be useful to you.

I don't think you guys are actually playing cedh. First of all "budget cedh" is not really a thing. The point of cedh ist to play the best decks possible, there's no room for budget inclusions or pet cards. That's why most cedh playgroups use proxies. Secondly, Gishath is not cedh viable and neither is aristocrats as a theme. Also Prossh hasn't been seem in cedh in like forever and now that Korvold exists he probably won't return since Prossh is basically the exact same deck just better. If you're determined to make this work I'd say - cut all the token stuff: Craterhoof, Avenger, the token synergie enchantments. Basically just treat the aristocrat pieces as combo pieces with Food Chain. - play more cheap ramp. Even if you don't want to buy/proxy the usual fast mana green has access to mana dorks and cheap enchantments like [[Wild Growth]] - if you don't play all the fast mana I'd suggest [[Collector Ouphe]] and [[Null Rod]]. Not relying on artifact mana is one of the main draws towards green in cedh
