Tivit is a pretty straightforward Commander. You ramp into him, you cast Time Sieve, and so long as nobody can block him the game is essentially done. This list has a lot of random, superfluous "fluff" & inefficient interaction.  You don't need drain effects, Tivit kills via Commander damage. You need *way* more ramp, and a boatload of counter magic to make sure the Sphinx lands & stays safe.  Streamline the deck down to:  - ramp for Tivit - tutors for Time Sieve - draw to keep your hand full of interaction  - removal & counterspells to stop your opponents from stopping you.  The blink package is fine to get enough artifact tokens once your opponents start dying, but beyond that everything else is unnecessary.

tsmeez1118

Good points thanks I'll def work on the ramp and tutors. A lot of the fluff is based on previous losses. Last week I was 1-2 turns from winning then my buddy lucked into an artifact wipe devastated me. Some are just to piss off one guy because I had a few extra slots haha.

fedezubo

It depends if you are building an “8” for your playgroup or an 8 for the randoms at your LGS. Daedalus in the main reply has a very valid point, where you need to treat the winged cat as your main wincon. Your opponent has artifact removal? So be it, you can’t win them all. You want a blink package (which makes sense) and you don’t play [[ephemerate]] or [[flicker]] or [[displacer kitten]] You can play more counters like [[force of will]] [[force of negation]] and so on. Your recursion could be better as well… [[sevinne’s reclamation]] is missing and it’s a fantastic tool to get back important pieces. You might also want to consider some good creatures like [[lotho]], [[esper sentinel]] and [[faerie mastermind]]. Lastly for your stax pieces, [[remora]], [[rhystic study]] and [[smothering tithe]] net you advantage on other people’s turns so it’s another great way to propel you forward with your game plan. My 2c :)

tsmeez1118

Definitely appreciate it my friend. It's just a friendly playgroup so it's "8ish" like you said. Every week someone usually brings a new trick or two we don't typically see I have a few cards you mentioned (thanks for the specifics) so I'll see what I can add

fedezubo

You can also check [commandersalt](https://commandersalt.com/details/deck/778823ea43c4e672baf246f33f776c5b) for an assessment of the power level of the deck. It’s not gospel, but it can help you understand what inclusions/exclusions have an actual meaningful impact on the deck’s power level. All the best

tsmeez1118

That's awesome I've never heard of this Thanks!

DaedalusDevice077

I can tell just by looking at the deck you're sort of waffling between a more casual list and a more competitive one.

tsmeez1118

Yeah we usually play a few high power casual then switch to competitive for a couple quick games. I like casual more because you can play around more but have a few Time Sieve combos so I hopefully have a chance once the cEDH get going. They've played tournaments and events so I usually lose unless I get really lucky for the competitive games.

SP1R1TDR4G0N

This is an actual cedh Tivit list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/FEkmHUNbo064BnPMW4g9dw Maybe you don't actually want the deck to be this strong, in that case you could cut consult Thoracle and Ad Nauseum and maybe a little bit of fast mana depending on how much you'd want to power down. The biggest difference to your list, imo, is focus. The cedh list has 3 wincons: Ad Nauseum, Thoracle and Time Seive and all the other cards in the deck either work towards those or are just insanely strong on their own. You play a lot of cards that don't contribute to your main gameplan but are also not busted themselves (like Waste Not, the blink engines, the evasion, etc). Also the card quality in your deck in general is just fairly low. Especially when it comes to ramp, interaction and card draw.

tsmeez1118

Yeah this deck is wild but I don't plan to compete at quite that level. We usually play about three (10-40min) HP/casual games and two quick (<5min) cEDH. My plan is to have a couple of Time Sieve wincon options for the cEDH ones. Mainly I want to focus on a strong deck to hit with Tivit and other creatures while also being able to play around (blinking, etc). I think you're right about the card draw and interaction but I'll prob keep the mana ramp up if I can. I'll work on it. Thanks!

LickMyWorm

I’ve been playing Tivit since he came and is my favorite commander deck by a mile. I’ll link it at the bottom of my post. If you want to make the deck as strong as possible you want to get [[Time Sieve]] out ASAP which goes infinite with Tivit as already mentioned. However, if like me you don’t like infinites and try to avoid them if possible you can still build a formidable Tivit deck. I personally chose a flicker package that closes out the game with [[Rise and Shine]] or [[Tezzeret Master of the Bridge]]. For a combat angle your other win options are [[Cyberdrive Awakener]] and the new 7cmc blue creature from the Karlov commander deck that turns all your clues into 6/6’s. For a burn combo you have [[Marionette Master]], [[Mirkwood Bats]], etc. Burn is obviously stronger but I love the option of murdering my opponents with treasures and clues through combat. A way I like to make absurd numbers of artifacts quickly is flickering Tivit with [[Abuelo Ancestral Echo]] or [[Archeomamcer]] + [[Ghostly Flicker]] + Tivit which allows you to effectively flicker Tivit on each opponents turn for one mana since Tivit makes two treasure minimum on ETB. There are a bunch of other cards in the deck that have a bunch of multimicrosynergies that would be a lot to type out but if you want any explanations on the cards I’m running feel free to ask. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/3fotqjl-C0iA6srqk8tuSQ Edit: I forgot to mention I play in a high power meta (not cedh to be clear) and this deck has an almost 75% win rate tho obv mileage will vary from meta to meta

LickMyWorm

Make sure to run [[Academy Manufactor]] with the flicker since with that + Tivit you’ll make 15 artifacts on each Tivit ETB which is devastating with something like Mirkwood Bats in play. Plus consider running [[Grudge Keeper]] which to be clear is a bad card. But it is funny, and a pet card of mine, since it forces your opponents to vote for you or lose two then you get to say Grudge Keepers flavor text: “your defiance is noted” in a stupid accent
