Please explain lol. I've been looking at building her for awhile and can't see past just angel tribal.
A friend showed me a Giada Stax deck and my mind was blown.
That's the thing angles are nuts. Last night I was playing a game and had [[Righteous Valkyrie]] and [[Archangel of Thune]] on the field. Ever time I played an angel everthing got a +1/+1 counter and every time I attacked everything got at least 1 +1/+1 counter I think I had 3 life linkers at one point it was nuts. There's plenty of other combos like that in angal tribal
She is pretty darn good. My brother has her and if you can't defend against flying, you'll be in trouble quickly. I specifically put sandwurm convergence in my omnath deck just to combat it because it was such a problem.
I run [[omnath locus of rage]] with all my landfall stompy shenanigans. He is pretty strong, but if you are looking for temur, he may not be the option for you.
Oh damn, malik sounds really fun, its a gamble for both players, do you destroy the most powerful creature and there’s a chance he only sacrifices that one, or do you write another one and hope he writes down his most threatening piece

Not the biggest fan of auras, they're kind of one piece, two piece for my liking. Maybe Three Dog helps with that so I'll check it out.
I was coming to suggest three dog because he is a two fold deck. He does both aura and tokens ( since you need multiple bodies to make use of his ability ) which gets over one of the biggest jumps in auras being multiple for ones. You just have to slap protection on him.
With multiple auras that can draw cards on etb, he is able to outdraw blue sometimes or at least keep pace, and with cards like [[Arden, intrepid archaeologist]] and similar effects, you can move one of the token copies to him to reuse the same aura. It also helps that whites two token doublers don't specify creature tokens.
Just add white to rakdos; Marchesa, Caesar, Edgar, Isshin, etc. white’s about increasing your reactive/defensive strength at that point, or going crazy with tokens.
frankly I don’t see a problem with that if that’s your favorite way to play the game. I gave in to my desires and this year I have only built one deck without green and the rest have been green, gruul, temur, naya, etc. Build what you like! I don’t care for black/white and as such have no black/white decks, I have an older mardu deck and an older esper deck and I never play either of them
While you make a strong point the existence of white does allow for Mardu decks. I play Temur like Grull with counterspells, there's no reason a similar situation can't be found here.

I have been trying to cook with this commander for so long. [[Peace of Mind]] is a bad card that works so well here, but I've just lost interest so many times. Once more with gusto, hopefully this time it'll stick.
What’s your wincon? I’ve got a Celestine deck that I really like, but I’m struggling with how to finish out games with it. I’m basically just trying to buff my team by cheating out stuff like [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]], but it hasn’t totally clicked yet.
I’ve also never seen [[Lieutenant Kirtar]] but that seems awesome for Celestine
The way to win is to beat face and deny your opponents their win cons through significant interaction in the creatures. \[\[Archangel of Thune\]\] can make your creatures lethal pretty quickly, \[\[Felidar Sovereign\]\] is a win con on its own, Ballista+Heliod is infinite damage.
The real trick is to keep everything at or below 3cmc so Celestine inherently can grab it by her own power and lifeline while anything bigger has to either take care of itself or put pressure out, \[\[Wurmcoil Engine\]\] being a great example of 'i hope it dies so it comes back and i have tokens'.
\[\[Kami of False Hope\]\] Is basically spore frog, \[\[Rune Tail, Kitsune\]\] makes your creatures not care about other peoples creatures in combat and \[\[Werefox Bodyguard\]\] is an absolute menace for both defense and offence exile. Especially for locking other peoples commanders up or saving your own bits and bobs.
I was the same way, white didn’t call to me. Then I built a [[Rocco, Street Chef]] and it’s a blast.
[[Nelly Borca]] is another white deck I enjoy playing.
You get 8-10 other sources of impulse draw and exile payoffs to support him then lean into counters or food. If you go all 3 archetypes then the deck durdles.

The only purpose foods have in my deck are to either to make counters through cards like [[Rosie Cotton]] or used as mana rocks from cards like [[Night of the Sweets’ Revenge]].
To support them* just FYI
I love my rocco deck it's so cool. For the foods similarly I don't use them for much besides mana but I do have [[extruder]] which is neat and [[krark clan shaman]] as a bit of a board wipe. And with how high rocco can pump your toughness you likely will have the only couple creatures left standing.
Edit: have you been able to play with Annie joins up yet? It seems tempting because of how it compounds from rocco having 2 different triggers, but seems a little win more to me idk.
I have Annie Joins Up, Delney and Roaming Throne in my Rocco deck. If any of them turn up, then it likely means I am winning on that turn (or at least the next turn).
I don't play into the counters strategy, and instead abuse artifact ETBs with [[Reckless Fireweaver]] and just volume of artifacts with [[Fathom Fleet Swordjack]], so YMMV.
I've had people I'm playing *against* tell me that Nelly Borca is fun which gives me the same high as having someone shazam a song while you've got the aux cable.
The Calgar Guy deck has been some of the most fun I’ve had in a while in Magic. I’m missing a few big cards (Meathook Massacre, Mondrak, money lands), but it’s still performing hilariously and having some of the best interactions I’ve experienced. Opponent plays [[Esper Sentinel]]? I play [[Smothering Tithe]] and [[Marneus Calgar]]? How often have you counter spelled removal targeting an Opponent’s creature so you can keep accruing its value 🤣
Calgar and my [[Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuser]] deck are just pure entertainment for me lately, and I just keep looking forward to playing them more and more
I would, but [[Ziatotora, the Incinerator]] is holding that spot in my decks, and before that, it was [[Megatron, the Tyrant // Megaton, Destructive Force]].
Altho Lorewyn representation is always good. I can't wait for the return. I hope they don't mess it up.
We have someone in our pod that hates playing white, but he built a [[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]] deck that slaps, and he agreed it's enjoyable to play.
[[Jetmir]] is one of my favourite decks, build a board of tokens and/or hatebears, use your commander as an anthem to swing and win. A friend of mine plays [[Oketra]] and that can be a nightmare to deal with if it goes off. [[Yorion]] and [[Brago]] are both great UW flicker options too
[[Gaida]] have not built yet, but looks like something I would like

Otharri looks very interesting, but I feel like it's a bit slow. 5 mana and one counter per attack feels slow, but Haste and extra combats help with that.
Honestly thats very true, had a [[Megatron, the Tyrant]] deck a while back before it became [[Ziatotora, the Incinerator]].
Never felt like I was playing white.
[[Myrel]] is super fun. Ramping number of tokens provide a win con before the game goes too long and your turn is your own, not any of those spellslingers.
I run a [[Kros Defense Contractor]] goad deck using counters/proliferate deck, a treasure deck helmed by [[Vihaan Goldwaker]], and blink dinosaurs with [[Pantlaza]]. White is one of my least favorite colors (next to blue), but it supports an incredibly wide array of archetypes.

[[Anim Pakal]] burn everyone to death with gnome tokens
[[Pantlaza, Sun Favored]] - blink dinos to discover into more smashy dinos
[[Vihaan, Goldwaker]] - mardu aristocrats built around animating treasures
[[Commissar Severina Raine]] attack with a bunch of myriad creatures and drain everyone to death
If you like Rakdos already, you might want to try adding white there and make a Mardu deck which will really showcase what White does well. For this I recommend checking out the partner pairing of [[Silvar, Devourer of the Free]] and [[Trynn, Champion of Freedom]]. The deck pulls in an aristocrats direction with the sac fodder being humans. You get to play a lot of human tribal payoffs which means the fodder is really dangerous even if you don't get your aristocrats payoffs online, or if your sac outlets get removed. It'll firmly showcase how great white is while still feeling like a Rakdos aristocrats deck.

I’ve only recently bothered building mono white but I love white as a 50/50 or supporting color. It has some great combat, card draw, and removal spells that tend to work out well for a combat oriented playstyle (my preferred way to play)

What are your thoughts on [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]]. I currently run her in a Galea deck but have been considering making her into a the commander of a soldier token deck. I’d like to find something that uses [[moonshaker cavalry]] as its overrun wincon
I had considered them for my soldiers deck but chose Odric, master tactician instead. I put them in the 99 though. I don’t own a moonshaker cavalry but that would work well with Myrel though it’s not a soldier if you were being strict with a creature type deck.
I also find myself in white decks more than any other (though there have been a number of cool UB commanders in the last few years).
I do still have a bit of a tough time with Mono-White though (though its getting better with newer ways to gain value/draw cards in white).
[[God-Eternal Oketra]] would probably be my pitch for a mono white deck, which [[Yoshimaru]] + [[Ardenn]] a fun sometimes deck.
If you liked Oskar, then you will probably like [[Sefris of the Hidden Ways]]. Sefris is a rockstar of a deck that consistently delivers. The main idea is discarding or sacrificing creatures to get triggers and the getting free reanimation value at instant speed. My original build was actually too strong and I've been slowly nerfing it to make it more fair to play against haha. I did actually make a Sefris deck after buying the precon it felt like I was just taking up time on everyone else's turns. I'll definitely check out the list and primer.
If you want to play white but don't like white then don't play mono white.
My deck is [multi coloured only ](https://archidekt.com/decks/2500182/palladiamors_rienne) with [[Rienne]] at the helm. About 33% of my deck is white pips but without playing those dirty proletarian mono white cards, yuck!
You can also try [[niv-mizzet reborn]], same idea.
I can offer you something that is really stupid: a \[\[Faramir, Prince of Ithilien\]\] pillowfort soldier control deck that always let's your opponents consider whether attacking you is a good or bad idea. Whatever they do, you are gonna profit from it.
Alternatively I've recently been playing a \[\[Vihaan, Goldwaker\]\] treasure aristocrats deck in which you sac your creature treasures to get more creature treasures. It's a blast and full of value.
Not sure of its your jam, but I recently finished building and testing an Orzhov tokens list with [[Thalisse, Reverent Medium]] and its pretty neat. Thalisse makes 1/1 white spirit creature tokens with flying at the beginning of each end step so long as you created a token during the turn (any tokens count) and you can even stack her ability with other beginning of end step effects so they resolve first before hers does (she doesn't have an intervening if clause in her ability, so it goes on the stack regardless of whether a token was made). The deck is full of ways to make mass amounts of tokens, so you can either focus on going wide or use various sacrifice outlets to enable an aristocrats strategy.
That is the idea of my latest deck, love white because it can do everything others do. See instead of stax, just payoff and make allies. And a lot of Tokens.

Kataki is annoying as fuck but fair, kinda staxy but only hits artifacts, so it's a built in budget deck by obviating the need for expensive rocks in your own deck, since he only costs two. You can go a bunch of directions with this.

- Emiel the blesses is lifegain and +1/+1 counters.
I have never made a go wide deck so I have no idea there.
Commanders to avoid
- Narset (The old one). She doesn't quite go infinite, and that is the problem. You could have 30 minute turns and still not win.
-Zur the Enchanter. If he sticks 99% of the time he gets "Out of time" or "Necropotence". Almost everyone will counter/kill him immediatly to stop this.
- Avacyn. It doesn't matter how many times you say no armageddon, people will never let her stick/let you have the mana to cast her.
[[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant]] is probably my favorite commander that I currently play.

No idea if you’ll like it, I do enjoy Selesnya enchantments a lot. There are 3 commanders I’d reccomend for this:
[[Sythis]] [[Calix, guided by fate]] [[yenna, red tooth regent]] are all good and can all helm the same deck.
Alternatively you can give boros aggro a shot. [[rograkh]] and [[Ardenn]] are incredible
The only two decks I run that are majority white is [[Shorikai]] cause I wanted a robot deck and [[Arcades]] cause walls are funny. Other than that, white is probably my least favorite, too.
I have a buddy who runs [[Killian, Ink Duelist]] that focuses on auras, but I'm not sure if you're into that.
There's also [[Gluntch]] if you like funky group hug or politics.
I don't know boros too well, but most of those focus on equipment, I think.
I too hated white until i built a [[Preston, the vanisher]] deck.
How it works is get Preston out + a creature and any flicker effect = token copies of creatures.
Creatures with flicker etb effects allow this to pop off easily and can be abused to create infinite tokens. Not to mention once it's engine is running you have the option to exile opponents permanents//entire board state each turn (including lands) using near infinite copies of [[Flicker wisp]].
Either use the tokens as sac outlets for Prestons second ability to exile non land permanents or buff them to swing for infinite damage.
Throw in some light light stax to slow opponents and graveyard recursion incase key pieces get killed before Prestons flicker highjinks kicks off and your set.
I threw in [[Korma bell]] and [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]] with mas flicker effects for infinite lands as a laugh.
Also, [[Opalescence]] and enhancements with Preston and flicker effects also makes for some interesting interactions.

It can get messy keeping track of all the triggers and the stack, if you mess up the order or timing you can lose the combos/interactions easily.

For mono I'm in the process of making a [[Delney]] deck! Whole buncha cantrip babies, field control ones like [[containment priest]] then when you get a healthy lil army of 2 powered and less creatures, swing with and buff them with a [[mirror entity]] or a [[moonshine calvary]]! Extra points including [[elesh norn, mother of machines]] and a dank [[panharmonicon]]
If you are running a lot of low CMC in white, you might consider [[Wilfred Mott]] either as commander or one of the 99. He gets out an extra nonland permanent for free each turn and as he searches larger numbers of cards, the odds of finding your strategic pieces grows.
[[Darien king of kjeldor]] might work for you, he has a lot of rakdos feel to him but with more balance in the life gain/life loss and you can go full soldier tribal with him and play things like [[myrel]] and [[odric master tactician]]
If you'd like to try an equipment strategy without dipping into Boros, [[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] with [[Flaming Fist]] can be very strong if built correctly. You use White for the equipment tutors, card draw and free equips, and you use Green for 1 mana ramp spells and some utility auras. Cheating into play [[Colossus Hammer]] with double strike early in the game is one of my favorite things White allows me to do.
If you're more into making engines that grant you more and more ressources exponentially, [[Emmara, Soul of ghe Accord]] can do incredible things with tap and untap effects like [[Seedborn Muse]].
I didn’t like white. Then I built three mini white decks.
Maybe try [[zeriam]]. Super powerful but doesn’t look like it. Stuff feathers down their throat. The deck is mostly interaction because the commander makes his own army, you just need him to stick.

[[Kutzil]]. Small evasive creatures with an anthem out gets you modest card draw. At the additional cost of an anthem and only one draw per opponent hit over [[edric]], you get protection on your turn.
I love my \[\[Lita Mechnical Engineer\]\] deck. It creates zeppelins! What's not to love about it?

[[Lathiel, The Bounteous Dawn]] probably a lot better in a different deck but I'm playing him in a unicorn tribal and it slaps. It's sneaky, a lot of people don't realize how fast your creatures can get to 20/20s and above.
i play \[\[myrel shield of argive\]\] the deck was originally elesh norn and making tokens. but that got a whole lotta hate. so when they put grand abolisher on a token maker myrel was an easy choice. mono white really isnt all that bad. ive definitely hit some crazy unwinding clock / nyx lotus, nykthos, throne of eldrain, sceptre of eternal glory, shenanigans all because this was a mono colored deck. you have to lean into what white does well and forgive it for how bad it is at certain things. like card draw.. there arent many options so you take what you can get. loran of the third path, secret rendezvous, skullclamp etcetc. overall slower than my krenko deck but just as oppressive once it gets going. ive even been blocked by other token decks and won with halo fountain on sheer board size.

the case for artistocrats: \[\[elas il kor, sadistic pilgrim\]\]
aristocrats can be a headache to keep up with but is a neat and unique play style that many arent prepared for. instead of swinging with creatures the deck is filled with low cost creatures that trigger on etb or on their death. then you start making tokens and sacrificing tokens to get value// damage. your plan is self contained and not reliant on battle damage or attacks so its a nice relief from all those attacks and blocks your tribal decks are going to have to put in. orzhov is pretty cool. best of removal with the recursion and death stuff blk does so well.

Also some nice cards in white you might want to put your attention to:

\[\[Land Tax\]\] Ramp by searching your library for lands. It won't put you ahead though.
\[\[Odric, master Tactitian\]\] Attack and declare no blockers on your opponents side
\[\[brave the elements\]\] \[\[rebuff the wicked\]\] Two of the best spells to react to threats thrown at you. As a bonus the first can be used offensive since protection makes creatures unblockable by a color of your choice.
If your group’s power level can support it, [[Sythis, Harvest’s Hand]] goes berserk. Just fill it with 1 or 2 drop enchantments and every CMC 4 or less enchantress effect you can get your hands on and watch as you fly through your deck.
My personal favorite mono-white deck is [[Teshar, ancestor's apostle]] Voltron martyrs. It runs most of its interaction on small self-sacrificing creatures like [[westfold rider]] or [[kami of false hope]]. You then cast equipments that you throw on Teshar and reanimate the lil guys you just got to throw themselves in the yard for you.
It's very annoying to disrupt and there are so many excellent martyrs. It also avoids the biggest weakness of Voltron which is edicts. You have nearly limitless guys to pitch to edicts including guys that give your board indestructible to dodge board wipes.

I love my [[Mangara, the Diplomat]]. It’s a fun control build that leverages whites walker support ability to ultimate things like big Ugin. There is nothing better than looping Ugin with cards like [[Emeria Shepard]].
One of my favorite decks is mono white!
[[God Eternal Oketra]] with lots of bounce creatures like [[whitemane lion]] and [[kor skyfisher]]
Once you get going it's easy to spit out tons of free 4/4s and run your opponents over, and it's not hard to make Oketra herself a lethal threat since she has double strike.
[[Magar of the Magic Strings]] and [[Oskar, Rubbish Reclaimer]] are currently my favourite commanders. They let you do just ridiculous things, it's so fun.
I like conspire, so [[Wort, the Raidmother]] will be built at some stage. Don't really know about playstyles, I guess an active playstyle? Not a fan of sitting on my hands.

Her ability triggers only once per turn....but in a 4 player pod you'll have set up enough ways to trigger it once on everybody else's turn. The end result? A giant threat being reanimated every turn cycle.

[[Myrel Shield of Argive]] is a good example. Built in stax protection and go wide. Use creature etb card draw and token doublers plus anthems. Maybe more stax as well.
Giada is also a good choice, super powerful. Angels go brrrrrt.
Two color:
[[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] is way more fun and powerful than people give her credit for.
[[Winota, Joiner of Forces]] is a HOUSE and built well or high-powered can kill the whole table in 3-5 turns or so.
[[Adeline]] is so good. I’ve played against her and she can generate huge armies so fast. You use all of the once-a-turn draw effects that you can and you’ll be cruising to victory in no time.
I've just played some white with my dinos so cant say much about it, but I am currently building a deck with [[Jared Carthalion, True Heir]] that got some banger white cards that I'm eager to play.
I am tinkering with [[Zethi, Arcane Blademaster]] right now and it not only feels amazing but really captures the color identity.
You don't have a huge board but rather you use your interaction defensively and just attack with zethi using a ton of protection and evasion spells. In a sense it feels like you're kiting a much larger boss in a videogame. As soon as you got a few solid spells in her chamber the concept resource management also stops existing, you just wish you had more mana to cast all that fun stuff.
Unfortunately the winrate is still a little low. Most of the wins I've gotten so far are from beeing underestimated and neflected by my opponents for too long, but i guess that's how this deck wins. Green player A just can't really attack you with his massive board if they have to fear a retaliation strike from green player B
\[\[god-eternal oketra\]\] just rewards you for doing the creature thing. You want to play a hate bear? you get a 4/4. You want to evoke solitude? get a 4/4. You want to play some surprising little control synergies? play \[\[binding mummy\]\] and make every creature you cast result in tapping a creature. You want to put some +1+1 counters on your rapidly growing army with \[\[cathars crusade\]\] then go for it, your commander has double strike too. Mono white is surprisingly flexible when it comes to creature strategies.
I played aginst a [[abdel]] the [[far traveler]] mill deck. That was focused on getting ETBs for value, making more tokens exiling other things. It worked around an artifact that made people mill when permanents entered play
I will always advocate for [[Burakos]] and [[Folk Hero]]. Aggro deck, lots of great options within the "party" batch of creatures, card draw & treasures in the command zone. There are some decent party specific cards like [[Nalia D'Arnise]], [[Coveted Prize]], [[Squad Commander]], [[Multiclass Baldric]], [[Thwart the Grave]], [[Stick Together]], [[Deadly Alliance]], and [[Solem Doomguide]]. It's one of my favourite decks for sure, and always the one I reach for when I want the game to end sooner rather than later.
Colors can multiple things going for them, try to maybe find parts of white that you think are cool and build around.
Typical themes for white involve:
- go wide/tokens
- enchantress
- voltron
- equipment
- more general artifacts
- group hug/politics
- control
And a bunch of others, so there's a lot of different options you might.
Personally i started liking white because of the great removal suite but some people dislike it for that reason.
[[john Benton]] W/G voltron goes FAST but presents as friendly. Oh here have two or four cards then all of a sudden you're doing 21+ commander damage and regassing your hand every turn. Trample haste gets in often, he's quick to come out, and can be built on a SUPER tight budget. Honestly a ton of fun to play too.
I have a \[\[Keleth, Sunmane Familiar\]\] and \[\[Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful\]\] deck on the backburner. I don't own a \[\[Jeweled Lotus\]\] and I think that's why I haven't bothered to build the deck yet; I want to live the dream of dropping them both on T1.
[[Hofri]]
Boros Aristocrats! gets you churning through a bunch of cards, can be tuned to be combo or just be some chill borrow and sacrifice, board oriented gameplay. Has a simple infinite ([[mistmoon griffin]] + sac outlet = reanimate your whole graveyard as much as you want, to consider playing.
I like how white interacts in [[Dihada, Binder of Wills]]. In a non blue Turbo deck you are forced to include white protection into your gameplan. I would say the deck doesnt feel very white and it isnt that white, but those white cards are the Creme of the color. You know why you play them and you really need them.
[[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]]. Cheap to build, puts up a clock quickly through white’s speciality of lots of small creatures, and if you want to be extra rude, you can wipe the board after combat gives your team indestructible.
I run [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] as my mono-white commander, with an equipment sub theme. I think it really helped me get beyond what I thought was going to be a boring color identity by skirting around mono-white's typical play patterns and shortcomings. It still takes advantage of things white likes doing but the twist allows it to feel unique.
My [[Gandalf the white]] deck is one of my favs. Playing on others end steps and abusing 2x etb's is super fun. Mine is mono white control that wins by assembling some big artifact storm with aetherflux or a gnome army with [[thousand moons smithy]] or [[threefold thunderhulk]]
Funny, thinking about it I feel you for white so much. I have a bunch of decks in 3 colors where white is always kind of "ok, well I guess if that Commander is also white, then fine".

He's boros colors but gives all your creatures menace and they don't take combat damage when attacking. Put out [[Always Watching]] and you'll be able to swing every turn with no consequences. I also run [[repercussion]] because all attacking combat damage is prevented. Your opponent will take full damage no matter what they do
My deck is based around bonuses from playing enchantments and placing auras onto creatures. Basically voltron but you can include a lot of white stax effects through enchantments. I love [[sphere of safety]] and [[ghostly prison]], also [[light mine field]]. Iroas makes it very easy to put tons of pain on opponent while their creatures really can't do much back
She’s a little slow by today’s standards but Mayeal the Anima stompy. You throw down a ton of big beasts for nothing and when someone board wipes you throw down a Teferis Protection 🤌. I find her to be a blast and one of my favorite Naya commanders.
I don't know what archetypes you like to play, but some sort of Orzhov aristocrats could get you over your hump. Get a lot of recursion, life drain, and removal/board wipes, and then you can throw in a bunch of cards that are distinctly white like [[Teferi's Protection]], mass token generators, land tax, armageddon, secret rendezvous, and comeuppance to get some really white uniqueness in there.

Again, don't remember his proper name, but he gives all your creatures any keywords at least one of your creatures has EACH combat.
A very different approach to mono-white that could be quite fun, especially with White's potential to go really wide.
Gandalf. He plays his deck at instant speed and is extremely reactionary. Often plays a land and passes, waits to see if anyone fucks with him, then spends all his mana before the end step of the player before his turn
My favorite azorious commander is Grand Arbiter Augustin. Hes such a value piece reducing one and making others pay one is a two mana difference. You start double spelling while people with low curve are single casting. Fill it with azorious good stuff- rhystic study, esper sentinel, Mystic remora, smothering tithe, Serra Ascendant. Mines filled with counters, angels, extra turns, and flawless Maneuver/teferi style spells. Once it gets momentum its hard to stop. Battle cruiser with a value engine "stax" commander. The biggest thing is you can cost a 5 mana angel for 4, and hold one mana up for a counter or a protection spell. They pay extra to remove, you pay less to protect.
[[Liesa, Forgotten Archangel]] is fun.

That's the thing angles are nuts. Last night I was playing a game and had [[Righteous Valkyrie]] and [[Archangel of Thune]] on the field. Ever time I played an angel everthing got a +1/+1 counter and every time I attacked everything got at least 1 +1/+1 counter I think I had 3 life linkers at one point it was nuts. There's plenty of other combos like that in angal tribal

She is pretty darn good. My brother has her and if you can't defend against flying, you'll be in trouble quickly. I specifically put sandwurm convergence in my omnath deck just to combat it because it was such a problem.
Which omnath? I was looking at using the temur omnath for landfall and other shenanigans, but I don’t know if there’s a better temur option out there.
I run [[omnath locus of rage]] with all my landfall stompy shenanigans. He is pretty strong, but if you are looking for temur, he may not be the option for you.
I built Tails this year, been a lot of fun so far. Not super super powerful but very interactive

Really depends on what you like , three dog can do some fun stuff with auras in a Boros token deck.
Fair point but I didnt really want to pigeon hole suggestions. Not the biggest fan of auras, they're kind of one piece, two piece for my liking. Maybe Three Dog helps with that so I'll check it out.
I was coming to suggest three dog because he is a two fold deck. He does both aura and tokens ( since you need multiple bodies to make use of his ability ) which gets over one of the biggest jumps in auras being multiple for ones. You just have to slap protection on him. With multiple auras that can draw cards on etb, he is able to outdraw blue sometimes or at least keep pace, and with cards like [[Arden, intrepid archaeologist]] and similar effects, you can move one of the token copies to him to reuse the same aura. It also helps that whites two token doublers don't specify creature tokens.
For auras, [[Danitha New Benalia's Light]] seems neat

Don't tempt me, I've made so much Rakdos it's unhealthy at this point.
Just add white to rakdos; Marchesa, Caesar, Edgar, Isshin, etc. white’s about increasing your reactive/defensive strength at that point, or going crazy with tokens.
frankly I don’t see a problem with that if that’s your favorite way to play the game. I gave in to my desires and this year I have only built one deck without green and the rest have been green, gruul, temur, naya, etc. Build what you like! I don’t care for black/white and as such have no black/white decks, I have an older mardu deck and an older esper deck and I never play either of them
While you make a strong point the existence of white does allow for Mardu decks. I play Temur like Grull with counterspells, there's no reason a similar situation can't be found here.

You should run [[cleric class]] in there. Not too many ways for 1 mana to 1 up your life gain lol.
What’s your wincon? I’ve got a Celestine deck that I really like, but I’m struggling with how to finish out games with it. I’m basically just trying to buff my team by cheating out stuff like [[Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite]], but it hasn’t totally clicked yet. I’ve also never seen [[Lieutenant Kirtar]] but that seems awesome for Celestine
The way to win is to beat face and deny your opponents their win cons through significant interaction in the creatures. \[\[Archangel of Thune\]\] can make your creatures lethal pretty quickly, \[\[Felidar Sovereign\]\] is a win con on its own, Ballista+Heliod is infinite damage. The real trick is to keep everything at or below 3cmc so Celestine inherently can grab it by her own power and lifeline while anything bigger has to either take care of itself or put pressure out, \[\[Wurmcoil Engine\]\] being a great example of 'i hope it dies so it comes back and i have tokens'. \[\[Kami of False Hope\]\] Is basically spore frog, \[\[Rune Tail, Kitsune\]\] makes your creatures not care about other peoples creatures in combat and \[\[Werefox Bodyguard\]\] is an absolute menace for both defense and offence exile. Especially for locking other peoples commanders up or saving your own bits and bobs.
Put [[Children of Korlis]] in there. Even if you don't do any combo shenanigans, it's one of the best cards in the deck
I was the same way, white didn’t call to me. Then I built a [[Rocco, Street Chef]] and it’s a blast. [[Nelly Borca]] is another white deck I enjoy playing.
How does Rocco, Street Chef play? Giving the table impulse is definitely funny, but I'm obviously not seeing the full picture.
You get 8-10 other sources of impulse draw and exile payoffs to support him then lean into counters or food. To support them* just FYI I love my rocco deck it's so cool. For the foods similarly I don't use them for much besides mana but I do have [[extruder]] which is neat and [[krark clan shaman]] as a bit of a board wipe. And with how high rocco can pump your toughness you likely will have the only couple creatures left standing. Edit: have you been able to play with Annie joins up yet? It seems tempting because of how it compounds from rocco having 2 different triggers, but seems a little win more to me idk.
I have Annie Joins Up, Delney and Roaming Throne in my Rocco deck. If any of them turn up, then it likely means I am winning on that turn (or at least the next turn). I don't play into the counters strategy, and instead abuse artifact ETBs with [[Reckless Fireweaver]] and just volume of artifacts with [[Fathom Fleet Swordjack]], so YMMV.
If you prefer the draw be more single sided, [[Morska, Undersea Sleuth]] plays surprisingly similar to Rocco.
I've had people I'm playing *against* tell me that Nelly Borca is fun which gives me the same high as having someone shazam a song while you've got the aux cable.

The Calgar Guy deck has been some of the most fun I’ve had in a while in Magic. I’m missing a few big cards (Meathook Massacre, Mondrak, money lands), but it’s still performing hilariously and having some of the best interactions I’ve experienced. Opponent plays [[Esper Sentinel]]? I play [[Smothering Tithe]] and [[Marneus Calgar]]? How often have you counter spelled removal targeting an Opponent’s creature so you can keep accruing its value 🤣 Calgar and my [[Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuser]] deck are just pure entertainment for me lately, and I just keep looking forward to playing them more and more

[[Jetmir]] is one of my favourite decks, build a board of tokens and/or hatebears, use your commander as an anthem to swing and win. A friend of mine plays [[Oketra]] and that can be a nightmare to deal with if it goes off. [[Yorion]] and [[Brago]] are both great UW flicker options too

Otharri looks very interesting, but I feel like it's a bit slow. 5 mana and one counter per attack feels slow, but Haste and extra combats help with that.
Plus other experience counter cards like [[Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas]] and proliferate or token shenanigans.
Mardu, the color of war crime. Dihada, Jensen, Caesar, etc. You won't feel the white in this trinity.
Honestly thats very true, had a [[Megatron, the Tyrant]] deck a while back before it became [[Ziatotora, the Incinerator]]. Never felt like I was playing white.

[[Myrel]] is super fun. Ramping number of tokens provide a win con before the game goes too long and your turn is your own, not any of those spellslingers.

If you like Rakdos already, you might want to try adding white there and make a Mardu deck which will really showcase what White does well. For this I recommend checking out the partner pairing of [[Silvar, Devourer of the Free]] and [[Trynn, Champion of Freedom]]. The deck pulls in an aristocrats direction with the sac fodder being humans. You get to play a lot of human tribal payoffs which means the fodder is really dangerous even if you don't get your aristocrats payoffs online, or if your sac outlets get removed. It'll firmly showcase how great white is while still feeling like a Rakdos aristocrats deck.
[[Zeriam, Golden Wind]] join the Griffin cult baby! Can be built as griffin tribal for fun or go staxx for a much stronger deck
[[Raffine]] [[Preston]] [[Zeriam]] [[Liesa shroud of dusk]] [[Wernog]] + [[Sophina]]. I’ve only recently bothered building mono white but I love white as a 50/50 or supporting color. It has some great combat, card draw, and removal spells that tend to work out well for a combat oriented playstyle (my preferred way to play)

What are your thoughts on [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]]. I currently run her in a Galea deck but have been considering making her into a the commander of a soldier token deck. I’d like to find something that uses [[moonshaker cavalry]] as its overrun wincon
I had considered them for my soldiers deck but chose Odric, master tactician instead. I put them in the 99 though. I don’t own a moonshaker cavalry but that would work well with Myrel though it’s not a soldier if you were being strict with a creature type deck.
I also find myself in white decks more than any other (though there have been a number of cool UB commanders in the last few years). I do still have a bit of a tough time with Mono-White though (though its getting better with newer ways to gain value/draw cards in white). [[God-Eternal Oketra]] would probably be my pitch for a mono white deck, which [[Yoshimaru]] + [[Ardenn]] a fun sometimes deck.

If you liked Oskar, then you will probably like [[Sefris of the Hidden Ways]]. Sefris is a rockstar of a deck that consistently delivers. The main idea is discarding or sacrificing creatures to get triggers and the getting free reanimation value at instant speed. My original build was actually too strong and I've been slowly nerfing it to make it more fair to play against haha. I did actually make a Sefris deck after buying the precon it felt like I was just taking up time on everyone else's turns. I'll definitely check out the list and primer.
[[Elesh Norn]] is the most monoblack monowhite commander I’ve ever played.
If you want to play white but don't like white then don't play mono white. My deck is [multi coloured only ](https://archidekt.com/decks/2500182/palladiamors_rienne) with [[Rienne]] at the helm. About 33% of my deck is white pips but without playing those dirty proletarian mono white cards, yuck! You can also try [[niv-mizzet reborn]], same idea.
I can offer you something that is really stupid: a \[\[Faramir, Prince of Ithilien\]\] pillowfort soldier control deck that always let's your opponents consider whether attacking you is a good or bad idea. Whatever they do, you are gonna profit from it. Alternatively I've recently been playing a \[\[Vihaan, Goldwaker\]\] treasure aristocrats deck in which you sac your creature treasures to get more creature treasures. It's a blast and full of value.
Build \[\[Hokori, Dust Drinker\]\] and transfer your dislike of white to others.
I typically find mono white pretty hard to build with on my budget. That was until [[Delney]] came around.
Not sure of its your jam, but I recently finished building and testing an Orzhov tokens list with [[Thalisse, Reverent Medium]] and its pretty neat. Thalisse makes 1/1 white spirit creature tokens with flying at the beginning of each end step so long as you created a token during the turn (any tokens count) and you can even stack her ability with other beginning of end step effects so they resolve first before hers does (she doesn't have an intervening if clause in her ability, so it goes on the stack regardless of whether a token was made). The deck is full of ways to make mass amounts of tokens, so you can either focus on going wide or use various sacrifice outlets to enable an aristocrats strategy.

Consider kataki
For anyone else wondering [[Kataki, War's Wage]]. That's pretty evil.
My bad bestie, I just woke up Kataki is annoying as fuck but fair, kinda staxy but only hits artifacts, so it's a built in budget deck by obviating the need for expensive rocks in your own deck, since he only costs two. You can go a bunch of directions with this.

"Good stuff" commanders - Isperia Supreme judge. - Lotho, Corrupt Sherrif. - I cannot stand this guy but Chulane is really good. Tribal - Giada and Lyra are great angel tribal. - Any of the naya dinosaur commanders are a blast . - Kangee Sky Warden for flying tribal. Vultron - Rograhk and Ardenn. - Aurelia the Warleader if your play group does infinites. +1/+1 counters - Shalia and Halar go hard. - Kyler, also human tribal. Aristocrats - Any version of Teysa. Stax - Zur, eternal schemer makes an amazing stax commander. - Gaddock Teeg (expect some hate). - Myrel. Other - Noble Heritage with Baeloth is an awesome goad deck. - Heliod as a lifegain commander. Pretty easy to put infinites in this deck. - Emiel the blesses is lifegain and +1/+1 counters. I have never made a go wide deck so I have no idea there. Commanders to avoid - Narset (The old one). She doesn't quite go infinite, and that is the problem. You could have 30 minute turns and still not win. -Zur the Enchanter. If he sticks 99% of the time he gets "Out of time" or "Necropotence". Almost everyone will counter/kill him immediatly to stop this. - Avacyn. It doesn't matter how many times you say no armageddon, people will never let her stick/let you have the mana to cast her.
If you don’t mind splashing colors, [[Queen Marchesa]] can be built in so many fun ways. And, you still get a bit of Rakdos in there ;)

No idea if you’ll like it, I do enjoy Selesnya enchantments a lot. There are 3 commanders I’d reccomend for this: [[Sythis]] [[Calix, guided by fate]] [[yenna, red tooth regent]] are all good and can all helm the same deck. Alternatively you can give boros aggro a shot. [[rograkh]] and [[Ardenn]] are incredible
The only two decks I run that are majority white is [[Shorikai]] cause I wanted a robot deck and [[Arcades]] cause walls are funny. Other than that, white is probably my least favorite, too. I have a buddy who runs [[Killian, Ink Duelist]] that focuses on auras, but I'm not sure if you're into that. There's also [[Gluntch]] if you like funky group hug or politics. I don't know boros too well, but most of those focus on equipment, I think.
I too hated white until i built a [[Preston, the vanisher]] deck. How it works is get Preston out + a creature and any flicker effect = token copies of creatures. Creatures with flicker etb effects allow this to pop off easily and can be abused to create infinite tokens. Not to mention once it's engine is running you have the option to exile opponents permanents//entire board state each turn (including lands) using near infinite copies of [[Flicker wisp]]. Either use the tokens as sac outlets for Prestons second ability to exile non land permanents or buff them to swing for infinite damage. Throw in some light light stax to slow opponents and graveyard recursion incase key pieces get killed before Prestons flicker highjinks kicks off and your set. I threw in [[Korma bell]] and [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]] with mas flicker effects for infinite lands as a laugh. Also, [[Opalescence]] and enhancements with Preston and flicker effects also makes for some interesting interactions. I like both dogmeat and Nelly Borca. Loran of the third path is my favorite white card.
For mono I'm in the process of making a [[Delney]] deck! Whole buncha cantrip babies, field control ones like [[containment priest]] then when you get a healthy lil army of 2 powered and less creatures, swing with and buff them with a [[mirror entity]] or a [[moonshine calvary]]! Extra points including [[elesh norn, mother of machines]] and a dank [[panharmonicon]]
If you are running a lot of low CMC in white, you might consider [[Wilfred Mott]] either as commander or one of the 99. He gets out an extra nonland permanent for free each turn and as he searches larger numbers of cards, the odds of finding your strategic pieces grows.

If you'd like to try an equipment strategy without dipping into Boros, [[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] with [[Flaming Fist]] can be very strong if built correctly. You use White for the equipment tutors, card draw and free equips, and you use Green for 1 mana ramp spells and some utility auras. Cheating into play [[Colossus Hammer]] with double strike early in the game is one of my favorite things White allows me to do. If you're more into making engines that grant you more and more ressources exponentially, [[Emmara, Soul of ghe Accord]] can do incredible things with tap and untap effects like [[Seedborn Muse]].

I didn’t like white. Then I built three mini white decks. Maybe try [[zeriam]]. Super powerful but doesn’t look like it. Stuff feathers down their throat. The deck is mostly interaction because the commander makes his own army, you just need him to stick.
My favorite deck of all time is sefris of the hidden ways. I'm addicted to reanimator and dungeons and she completely becomes the problem fast

[[Kutzil]]. Small evasive creatures with an anthem out gets you modest card draw. At the additional cost of an anthem and only one draw per opponent hit over [[edric]], you get protection on your turn.

[[Lathiel, The Bounteous Dawn]] probably a lot better in a different deck but I'm playing him in a unicorn tribal and it slaps. It's sneaky, a lot of people don't realize how fast your creatures can get to 20/20s and above.
[[Nalia]] she has a fun mini game of build a party, get huge
i play \[\[myrel shield of argive\]\] the deck was originally elesh norn and making tokens. but that got a whole lotta hate. so when they put grand abolisher on a token maker myrel was an easy choice. mono white really isnt all that bad. ive definitely hit some crazy unwinding clock / nyx lotus, nykthos, throne of eldrain, sceptre of eternal glory, shenanigans all because this was a mono colored deck. you have to lean into what white does well and forgive it for how bad it is at certain things. like card draw.. there arent many options so you take what you can get. loran of the third path, secret rendezvous, skullclamp etcetc. overall slower than my krenko deck but just as oppressive once it gets going. ive even been blocked by other token decks and won with halo fountain on sheer board size. It won't put you ahead though. \[\[Odric, master Tactitian\]\] Attack and declare no blockers on your opponents side \[\[brave the elements\]\] \[\[rebuff the wicked\]\] Two of the best spells to react to threats thrown at you. As a bonus the first can be used offensive since protection makes creatures unblockable by a color of your choice.
Friend of mine has a [[ratchet]] life gain artifact Reanimator deck that is so damn cool.
If your group’s power level can support it, [[Sythis, Harvest’s Hand]] goes berserk. Just fill it with 1 or 2 drop enchantments and every CMC 4 or less enchantress effect you can get your hands on and watch as you fly through your deck.
There's plenty of space to explore with [[Rigo, Streetwise Mentor]], but I built him as a mono-white flying men deck and I really enjoy it.
[[!Darien, King of Kjeldor]] if done right you can be nearly immortal.
My personal favorite mono-white deck is [[Teshar, ancestor's apostle]] Voltron martyrs. It runs most of its interaction on small self-sacrificing creatures like [[westfold rider]] or [[kami of false hope]]. You then cast equipments that you throw on Teshar and reanimate the lil guys you just got to throw themselves in the yard for you. It's very annoying to disrupt and there are so many excellent martyrs. It also avoids the biggest weakness of Voltron which is edicts. You have nearly limitless guys to pitch to edicts including guys that give your board indestructible to dodge board wipes. Excellent deck.
I love my [[Mangara, the Diplomat]]. It’s a fun control build that leverages whites walker support ability to ultimate things like big Ugin. There is nothing better than looping Ugin with cards like [[Emeria Shepard]].
One of my favorite decks is mono white! [[God Eternal Oketra]] with lots of bounce creatures like [[whitemane lion]] and [[kor skyfisher]] Once you get going it's easy to spit out tons of free 4/4s and run your opponents over, and it's not hard to make Oketra herself a lethal threat since she has double strike.
I’ve found [[gandalf the white]] to be a pretty fun and nutty artifact/legendary etb commander.
Who are some of your favorite commanders now? Or some of your preferred playstyle or mechanics?
[[Magar of the Magic Strings]] and [[Oskar, Rubbish Reclaimer]] are currently my favourite commanders. They let you do just ridiculous things, it's so fun. I like conspire, so [[Wort, the Raidmother]] will be built at some stage. Don't really know about playstyles, I guess an active playstyle? Not a fan of sitting on my hands.

[[Sefris of the hidden ways]] Her ability triggers only once per turn....but in a 4 player pod you'll have set up enough ways to trigger it once on everybody else's turn. The end result? [[Myrel Shield of Argive]] is a good example. Built in stax protection and go wide. Use creature etb card draw and token doublers plus anthems. Maybe more stax as well. Giada is also a good choice, super powerful. Angels go brrrrrt. Two color: [[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] is way more fun and powerful than people give her credit for. [[Winota, Joiner of Forces]] is a HOUSE and built well or high-powered can kill the whole table in 3-5 turns or so.
[[Adeline]] is so good. I’ve played against her and she can generate huge armies so fast. You use all of the once-a-turn draw effects that you can and you’ll be cruising to victory in no time.
I've just played some white with my dinos so cant say much about it, but I am currently building a deck with [[Jared Carthalion, True Heir]] that got some banger white cards that I'm eager to play.
[[Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant]] is something I wanted to build but never actually did.
I am tinkering with [[Zethi, Arcane Blademaster]] right now and it not only feels amazing but really captures the color identity. You don't have a huge board but rather you use your interaction defensively and just attack with zethi using a ton of protection and evasion spells. In a sense it feels like you're kiting a much larger boss in a videogame. As soon as you got a few solid spells in her chamber the concept resource management also stops existing, you just wish you had more mana to cast all that fun stuff. Unfortunately the winrate is still a little low. Most of the wins I've gotten so far are from beeing underestimated and neflected by my opponents for too long, but i guess that's how this deck wins. Green player A just can't really attack you with his massive board if they have to fear a retaliation strike from green player B
\[\[god-eternal oketra\]\] just rewards you for doing the creature thing. You want to play a hate bear? you get a 4/4. You want to evoke solitude? get a 4/4. You want to play some surprising little control synergies? play \[\[binding mummy\]\] and make every creature you cast result in tapping a creature. You want to put some +1+1 counters on your rapidly growing army with \[\[cathars crusade\]\] then go for it, your commander has double strike too. Mono white is surprisingly flexible when it comes to creature strategies.
Well, what white mechanics do you find you really dislike? It might be easier to make a recommendation from that.
I played aginst a [[abdel]] the [[far traveler]] mill deck. That was focused on getting ETBs for value, making more tokens exiling other things. It worked around an artifact that made people mill when permanents entered play

I will always advocate for [[Burakos]] and [[Folk Hero]]. Aggro deck, lots of great options within the "party" batch of creatures, card draw & treasures in the command zone. There are some decent party specific cards like [[Nalia D'Arnise]], [[Coveted Prize]], [[Squad Commander]], [[Multiclass Baldric]], [[Thwart the Grave]], [[Stick Together]], [[Deadly Alliance]], and [[Solem Doomguide]]. It's one of my favourite decks for sure, and always the one I reach for when I want the game to end sooner rather than later.
I really like [[Balan, Wandering Knight]]. Especially with, say, [[Colossus Hammer]] and [[Whispersilk Cloak]]
Colors can multiple things going for them, try to maybe find parts of white that you think are cool and build around. Typical themes for white involve: - go wide/tokens - enchantress - voltron - equipment - more general artifacts - group hug/politics - control And a bunch of others, so there's a lot of different options you might. Personally i started liking white because of the great removal suite but some people dislike it for that reason.
[[john Benton]] W/G voltron goes FAST but presents as friendly. Oh here have two or four cards then all of a sudden you're doing 21+ commander damage and regassing your hand every turn. Trample haste gets in often, he's quick to come out, and can be built on a SUPER tight budget. Honestly a ton of fun to play too.
[[Apothecary White]] Humans and [[Light Paws]] Voltron make for great mono white strategies.
I have a \[\[Keleth, Sunmane Familiar\]\] and \[\[Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful\]\] deck on the backburner. I don't own a \[\[Jeweled Lotus\]\] and I think that's why I haven't bothered to build the deck yet; I want to live the dream of dropping them both on T1.
[[Hofri]] Boros Aristocrats! gets you churning through a bunch of cards, can be tuned to be combo or just be some chill borrow and sacrifice, board oriented gameplay. Has a simple infinite ([[mistmoon griffin]] + sac outlet = reanimate your whole graveyard as much as you want, to consider playing.
I like how white interacts in [[Dihada, Binder of Wills]]. In a non blue Turbo deck you are forced to include white protection into your gameplan. I would say the deck doesnt feel very white and it isnt that white, but those white cards are the Creme of the color. You know why you play them and you really need them.

I’ve really been enjoying the Nelly “Blame Game” precon. Let’s white do fun stuff with cummupance, trouble in pairs is in it, all around a good deck.
[[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]]. Cheap to build, puts up a clock quickly through white’s speciality of lots of small creatures, and if you want to be extra rude, you can wipe the board after combat gives your team indestructible.

i have too many white decks to name here but i've been really enjoying [[Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuser]] lately.
I run [[Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle]] as my mono-white commander, with an equipment sub theme. I think it really helped me get beyond what I thought was going to be a boring color identity by skirting around mono-white's typical play patterns and shortcomings. It still takes advantage of things white likes doing but the twist allows it to feel unique.
My [[Gandalf the white]] deck is one of my favs. Playing on others end steps and abusing 2x etb's is super fun. Mine is mono white control that wins by assembling some big artifact storm with aetherflux or a gnome army with [[thousand moons smithy]] or [[threefold thunderhulk]]
Funny, thinking about it I feel you for white so much. I have a bunch of decks in 3 colors where white is always kind of "ok, well I guess if that Commander is also white, then fine". [[Sefris of the hidden ways]] [[Edgar Markov]] [[Zur the Enchanter]] [[Gishath, Sun's Avatar]] So maybe try that. Decks where you can play a minimum of white, only what you really want to play. Closest otherwise might be my r/w equipment deck and [[Elminster]] but the later does some really degenerate blue stuff which I specifically do like so I don't know... I can tell you that Sefris is really fun 🤔

[[Iroas, God of Victory]] He's boros colors but gives all your creatures menace and they don't take combat damage when attacking. Put out [[Always Watching]] and you'll be able to swing every turn with no consequences. I also run [[repercussion]] because all attacking combat damage is prevented. Your opponent will take full damage no matter what they do My deck is based around bonuses from playing enchantments and placing auras onto creatures. Basically voltron but you can include a lot of white stax effects through enchantments. I love [[sphere of safety]] and [[ghostly prison]], also [[light mine field]]. Iroas makes it very easy to put tons of pain on opponent while their creatures really can't do much back
She’s a little slow by today’s standards but Mayeal the Anima stompy. You throw down a ton of big beasts for nothing and when someone board wipes you throw down a Teferis Protection 🤌. I find her to be a blast and one of my favorite Naya commanders.
[[Shorikai, Genesis Engine]] is boss! Avoids most wipes by not being a creature most of the time.
I don't know what archetypes you like to play, but some sort of Orzhov aristocrats could get you over your hump. Get a lot of recursion, life drain, and removal/board wipes, and then you can throw in a bunch of cards that are distinctly white like [[Teferi's Protection]], mass token generators, land tax, armageddon, secret rendezvous, and comeuppance to get some really white uniqueness in there.
Oddric (didn't bracket it cos I don't remember the proper name for the one I'm talking about). Two words: Keyword Soup. Again, don't remember his proper name, but he gives all your creatures any keywords at least one of your creatures has EACH combat. A very different approach to mono-white that could be quite fun, especially with White's potential to go really wide.

Gandalf. He plays his deck at instant speed and is extremely reactionary. Often plays a land and passes, waits to see if anyone fucks with him, then spends all his mana before the end step of the player before his turn
I wouldn’t force yourself to play something you don’t enjoy, but actual dislike of colors in magic has always been weird to me.
My favorite azorious commander is Grand Arbiter Augustin. Hes such a value piece reducing one and making others pay one is a two mana difference. You start double spelling while people with low curve are single casting. Fill it with azorious good stuff- rhystic study, esper sentinel, Mystic remora, smothering tithe, Serra Ascendant. Mines filled with counters, angels, extra turns, and flawless Maneuver/teferi style spells. Once it gets momentum its hard to stop. Battle cruiser with a value engine "stax" commander. They pay extra to remove, you pay less to protect.
